thank you for reacting to this! fyi this one actually has a deep meaning. he wrote this song bcs there's a fan who dm-ed him about his/her hardships and feelings and he wanted to comfort the fan through this song. there's a lyrics like "i know i'm not the one who face hardships, i know that. but please just listen to my story and hug me, i need u" "it will be okay, i will smile tomorrow",, i really hope everyone feel comforted after hearing this song 💛

This song is very personal as other comments mentioned that it's a song that Yoseop wrote as a reply to his fans who're facing difficult times and hope this song can help comfort the fans.
Yoseop have many great solo songs, so I hope you can checking out more of his solo stuffs like 'Body & Soul', 'The Last Cold', 'Where I am gone'(inspired by Me Before You novel), 'Star' and 'It's you'. It's would be even better if you understand the lyrics and live performances of Yoseop are more preferred than recorded version most of the time

He wrote this song for a fan who shared her struggles. The song starts with questioning why everyone is shining (succeeding in life) while he’s stuck there alone, like if he’ll fail and stumbled no one would know and care then it continues with him finding that someone who listens, hug and cheer him up. Yoseop's and Dongwoon's solo songs are ballad oriented while Dujun's and Gikwang's are more on the hiphop or RnB side. So depends what you are interested into. They also have solo songs inside their group albums but they're not "official" solos so not in the list.
Personally I really vibe with Gikwang's solo songs: What You Like, Lonely, Don't Close Your Eyes, Nothing (also Dancing Shoes in 2009 under the stage name AJ haha, the autotune is a tad overboard but it's a good song).
Dujun - Lonely Night has a nice vibe, the visuals are kind of similar to the Brain MV.
Dongwoon - In The Silence
Yoseop has Caffeine (similar vibe to Brain), Although I, Where I Am Gone. He also has a lot of duos or featurings with various male and female artists.

As much as I love Highlight and Yoseob I am not into his solos. I find his solo songs too bland, they don’t stay with me. It’s only my opinion. I definitely prefer Gikwang’s solo and Don’t Close your Eyes is to me a masterpiece. I’d be curious to have your opinion on it.
