I learned that brushing towards the client is how we help the skin of the proximal nail fold stay lifted off the nail plate. But I had the same thought about the dust and debris. That’s why after prep we spray w/ alcohol and use that brush for a light brisk sideways (circular) scrub to free up that debris.
Good question! I brush towards the pockets to help keep that pocket open. I do circular movements too, that help remove the debris. I talk about this across nearly all videos if you'd like to see more explanation! ❤
You explain things so well. Thank you.
Erica I really want to take your class in August in Columbus but I’m going to be so sad if you aren’t there!
Hilary's Columbus class?! She's an amazing educator- you definitely shouldn't miss it!
Why do you brush towards the client, doesn’t that push all the debris into the pocket? Genuinely wondering bc idk thanks!! 🙏

Hi!! I run a support group for nail techs in Hawai’i called the Hawaii Nail Technician Collective and we would love of you came to Hawai’i!!
that sounds like a dream come true! I'm always open to travel! Rally up a group of 15 techs interested in a class and we can make it a reality!
