500 hp ? Modifid c6 with ls3 came with 430 hp sometihng stock the c6 zo6 came with 505. I think a a stcok ls3 c6 will be closer with the 430 hp vs your 400hp but still good runs like it👌
7 speed auto? I like gears 1 - 2 - 3.... 4th is a disappointment as it's just too tall, this is where the vette pulls ahead in that first run. Nice runs tho!

Z's really fall off up top. A plenum spacer really changes everything where instead of dropping power the last 2500rpms it keeps peak power and drops off the last 500rpms. Would really change that race for you if you dont have this done already. You were shifting at the top where these cars dont make peak stock. You kept shifting in the hp drop off zone
Plenum wouldn’t make a difference: the Vette owner said he was starting a gear higher than he should so it wouldn’t spin bad. If he had tires and started in the right gear he would’ve pulled away right away even harder

Either you are short on mods, car is having issues or your underestimating your true HP. 370Z NA fully bolted with E30 mix is 400HP. A SC will add min 100whp if you know what your doing. The point is the Vette in this video is being driven very poorly or it's tuned very poorly or his combo is poor and doesn't make decent average power, only good PEAK power. A stone stock LS3 Vette should keep door to door with this 370Z with a good driver, if not win. Way back when the LS3 Vettes were new I watched a 60 year old man go 120 mph in the 1/4 out here in the high desert in an LS3 Vette auto with just an intake, tune, converter and radials. And the DA was at least 2,000 ft during those runs.
I had the opportunity to jump in a C7 base or C6 ZO6. I still went back to the Z. It ain't about power to me plus I'm not a big fan of American muscle. Yes it has a V8 it's muscle
I owned a 335 I stage 2 remap for 2 years and now have a nismo 2016 the nismo would smash the bmw in every application so no a 335 i will not smash a 370z on any given road a 370z will pull away on turns and tight tracks etc a 335i might pull better at the top end on a straight and that's it but one is a quick sedan or fat coupe the other is a sports car designed for that purpose if I want to defo smash a 335i in the straights simple stillen supercharger and its game over for m3 never mind 335i plus my 335 was utter trash spent many months in the garage with repairs 2 years in the nismo never let me down also turns heads and no one gave 2 shits about the 335i . As stated one has 40 50 years history the other is a fat turd German Express no comparison.
