    Lots of bats are endangered in Pennsylvania. I'm excited to plant a shagbark hickory seedling in my back yard soon

    Great tree; It does look very unique! We don't have any in my area, but we do have bur oak with those ENOURMOUS acorns 😄.

      That's fantastic! I wonder if it's a bur oak? They have really big acorns with a cozy hat on them. I show them for about a half a second in my latest short.

    Growing up we had hickory trees, and every year my mother would pick out enough hickory nut meats (using a needle) to make a hickory nut cake for Christmas.
