I absolutely love your videos Latoya! I love that you are straight up and keepin it real. You are my inspo through this process and I’m so thankful to have found you!
Had mine done a week ago. The worst part is having that trapped air in your stomach. 🫨 Love the way you keep it real 🥰 At least we don't have to worry about those unpredictable periods, heavy ruining the whole month!
Girl I remember having trapped air after my c section and I thought I was dying 😩 it’s the worst feeling! I hope you are healing well and I do not miss those monthly cycles 😂
My procedure is scheduled for next week… I ordered me a fan a few weeks ago😅… thank you for sharing your story.. found your story searching RUclips / new subscriber!! …I have never been an emotional person .. but as of late I’m wearing my family OUT with emotions 😂🤷🏽♀️
Girl those fans are going to come in handy 😂 aww thank you for being a new subbie and I’m sending love your way, hoping everything went well with your surgery 🫶🏾
Thank you so much for this video! I had my hysterectomy in December 2021 and these period symptoms had me thinking I was going crazy! I love the, “blue ovaries” term, now I have an answer for my husband 🤣😂This was the best!
Hi, I was told by all the Dr I saw ( I am in France) that even if your ovaries are not removed you have a very high risk of having menopause much earlier than normal. Around 2-5 years after having the procedure. Because the ovaries work with an entire system that is not there anymore so they slowly start not working. So if I were to choose this procedure they told me I should think about starting taking hormonal replacements as an option because I am far from the " normal" age of menopause. There are many studies on that topic even some surgeon/ Dr on RUclips talk about that. But since many women who get this procedure are close to menopause anyway it's difficult to make a 100% confirmation on that plus medecine doesn't seem to care that much about the specificities of women health it seems that they don't care about producing the most accurate stats on the subject to help us make such decision.. Although they could easily since it's been done for a long time worldwide.... There are studies, but not enough especially on women, which are young and far from menopause. But with their own professional experience, that is what the several different Dr I saw all told me. They noticed it when doing those procedures on young women so yes there is a high probability that it may happen. I am surprised that your Dr did not even told you that it may happen. Unfortunately there are not that many testimonies online either of women in their early 30s 40s having this surgery (partial hystorectomy) and the effect 2- 5 years later if any, which is why I am here. I don't know your age but thank you for sharing your story.
Hi, I was told the same by my doctor , however , after seeing my doctor recently I was told that I’m not experiencing menopause symptoms. My body is still adjusting it’s new normal. I will be seeing a hormone specialist soon though.
@@LatoyaClarkim glad you're going to see a hormone specialist soon cuz I know the hormones are really important for our overall health so it's nothing to mess with. Honestly the changes in hormones is still one of my biggest concerns about this surgery, which is now less than a week away for me. I'm keeping my ovaries too but worried about what if they stop working? Latoya, if you've seen the specialist yet can you make a video about that experience and what went on with that if you feel comfortable? ❤
Okay first I Cracked up at the Man Crying...🤦🏾♀️ BUT then you scared me about the crying yourself as I've gotten older I have become a crier....and my hysterectomy is coming up on the 20th of November.....😮💨
I remember having them pretty often in my first month , post op. But then they went away for a while but now they are back! 😩😅 hope you’re healing well hun 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yes I had to inject myself in the belly for the 1st 14 days to avoid blood clotting and I don't have any history of blood clots etc. In the beginning I hated it because you have to do it in different spots each day but I got use to it the needless are really tiny and you barely feel them but its the thought of having to do it is what fkd with me most best of luck I am 5 months in
@jusme9400 I had mine December 2022 I did experience a slight bit of depression amd anxiety because I drove myself nuts worried about my sex life etc. But im popping that thing like I never missed a beat lol oan there was no pain at AAALLL sshhiidd I wouldn't have believed that it was out of I didn't see the picture I would recommend you asks how its being removed because that counts for example cesarean cut or vaginal through tiny cuts (this one is wwaayy better) I was up and walking like nothing and recovered at home alone No periods is the best best of luck
Can you show the updated scarring if you don't mind. I've scheduled my consultation. I'm 43 years old. Do you have to take medication for the rest of your life?
I wish I could upload a picture up here without having to make an entire video lol but my scar looks really good. You can barely see it to be honest. I don’t have to take any medication because I still have my ovaries so I’m not going through menopause .
Yeah same with me had my hysterectomy last year and after a month I started having headaches everyday for 9 months and I always feel hot where I used to be so cold I miss having my period Kept my ovaries and still feel warm all the time!
Hi , I did lose about 7 pounds the first week home because my appetite was off. I have lost weight since my surgery but it’s only been because I started a weight loss journey . I don’t think the surgery itself had anything to do with my weight loss .
Sounds like you're going through menopause. A hysterectomy can kickstart menopause even if they leave your ovaries. I have a baby, I mean 13cm cyst on my left ovary and a 5cm cyst on my right, I'm going to try to talk my surgeon in to taking my uterus when he takes my left ovary so I don't have periods anymore. I just can't wait to have this bigger cyst removed, I'm tired of feeling pregnant.
Get on hormone replacement therapy. Your hormones are too low and that is the cause of all the symptoms you are having. Good luck and speedy recovery ❤
Thank you for sharing,I had a hysterectomy 6 months ago an it's still new to me ,so thank for cause sometimes I feel alone.
Aww , don’t ever feel like you’re alone. Be patient and let your body adjust to its new normal. Sending you love and positive vibes 💕💕
I had my hysterectomy 7 weeks ago. The hot flashes and brain fog is definitely no joke. Thanks for sharing.

I’m already having menopause symptoms and I haven’t even had my hysterectomy yet. My OB told me I’m perimenopausal. I’m 39 years old.
Oh wow!
Gm you made my day 😂 blue balls.
🥂 to keeping it real babe 🤗
I’ll drink to that lol 🥂
After your hysterectomy did you have to get shots in your stomach for blood clotting? I saw where someone else had to
I didn’t have to get any shots afterwards. I wonder if that’s only necessary for women that have clotting issues.
@@LatoyaClark oh ok, lord I hate needles already gonna be in enough pain. Thanks and have a blessed day.
