12:47 As far as I know, that sort of clip was used to hold your gloves. With the hanging thingy you could attach it to a purse or a handbag or maybe a piece of your clothing aswell to keep your gloves close to you even if you don't use them
I loved this. The outfits, the shopping... I loved the antique store trip. I have reiterated to my partner that I want my birthday celebration to be going to the cluster of antique stores just across the river from us like we were supposed to last year. 😂😂😂 Fingers crossed we make it this time!
Did you get to do your Antique excursion for your birthday, Magnolia? That would be the ideal birthday in my Life, too. My birthday is coming up in three weeks, and I have already been contemplative about incorporating Antique and Vintage shopping, if it will be feasible. 🖤💐🖤
@@AvecPoesie Not to the ones I originally wanted to check out, but we did spend a day wandering between a cluster of antique shops in DC! Found one in particular with a whole bunch of vintage jewelry that I could have browsed for hours like a happy little magpie. 😍
Honestly I love dressing up in a cute outfit just to go to random stores in my town and look around and not buy anything 😭😭😭😭 I feel like I have such a similar personality to you, and that makes me really happy!!
This was such a fun video! The little handshaped clip that you bought is a glove clip. The little loop attaches to a handbag. Women would use them when regular glove wearing was still standard etiquette, so theycould clip their gloves out of the way while eating or powdering their nose.
The hand clip you got from the antique market is a glove holder. It would attach to your purse and keep your gloves at hand and to make sure you wouldn't lose them. Also, I love the idea of your video. Florence's style and her music are awesome!
The little hand clip is a napkin holder, you clip the chain to your neckline or collar and the hands hold your napkin over your front to protect your clothes from drips when eating soup, and your wall tapestry is a bell pull to summon your servants in the 'big house' (think Downton Abbey) 😊
I did this a couple days ago. I had this dress I've been dying to wear for years and recently thrifted a gorgeous velvet and jewel tone shawl with a vampire-like belt. I felt so pretty just to walk around a pumpkin patch (bc I don't go anywhere) 😂
That last dress is amazing, and the under-slip makes it even better! It’s giving me Ever After vibes! Like an updo with a shimmery makeup look would make it so ethereal. 😊
Maybe you can do Helena Bonham Carter next (Leena Norms also did this!), her style is very whimsical too, just a little darker which might be fitting for our seasonal depression... 💫
This is such a fun video, and with really inspiring things sprinkled throughout it! I keep seeing this antiques, and clothes, and everything, and I don't know where to find things like these in Brazil, or if there are things like these here, so I just wanna make them! I wanna make EVERYTHING! This is a video that will be saved for all the little pieces of inspiration. Thank you!
When I first heard about whimsigoth I though 'oh so like Florence vibes', so it's cool to see you dressing like her, it feels like full circle. And the jewel tones really suit you! I also like the more casual ones that helps make it more approachable, it's difficult for many to wear flowy maxi gowns on the daily, and it's cool to see how you style pieces to make them have the energy of Florence without being as extravagant as the stage outfits
Currently watching on TV but had to pop on and comment through the phone.... I love this video and all the clothing...Love Florence, both her music and style. I just hit part where you were at Antique Fair.... I need to save some $$$ and then go vintage shopping with you! Anywho ❤
That last green dress is absolutely STUNNING on you!! I'd honestly love to see if I can find it (or something similar to it) so I can make some sort of look with it!! Your style is so pretty and will always be something I feel drawn towards when I need inspo for outfits 💜💜💜💜
There are a lot of really cool maxi dresses this type of style on ASOS in the “ASOS design” category. They’re kinda pricey full price but sometimes they go on sale. I was eyeing a few of them before I came across this one ♥️

Great video, I enjoyed watching, I'm glad you actually went out dressed up. It's very rare to see people out there dressed creatively even in NYC!
Loved all the outfits but wow to wear this in those temperatures 🥵 Also loved your purchases and the little hand clip is to attach to your purse and hold your gloves 🧤
The little hands are for gloves. You join the chain end to your handbag and the little hands hold your gloves while your not wearing them. Very popular in the 40s and 50s

off-topic but the Diablo II booklets at 9:44 really tickled my biscuits. They're literally just the quickstart guide/tutorial books that shipped with the CDs (base game and expansion pack, not sure what the third one down is but looks first-party), and a third-party gameplay guide at the bottom by the looks, no CDs in sight 😂Maybe they're hiding in the middle of the pile or something, the world may never know~
Omg right after you said « it is not the person name in the title of this video, I really though about it and said out loud « Chappell Roan ». Then you said it too. It helps that I’m watching this video after she blew up. Any chance you’ll do another video of this type but with Chapell as inspo and her current tour/album looks?
These outfits remind me a LOT of when I went through my accidental Stevie Nicks phase in middle school. There is something that's just lovely about the flow-y fabrics and the swoosh of skirts and ridiculously long and sweeping sleeves. Sadly I don't have much to wear along those lines any more, but I do need to do a closet purge so maybe I'll treat myself with something swishy. So did you wind up listening to more of her music during this? I have been meaning to listen to more than the three songs I'm super familiar with (I actually have a list of musicians I want to try more of), as well as Hozier's new album (I feel kind of like there's some Old God/dess connection going on between those two). This honestly was a good video for me to see today - having a crap mental health day myself and needed something lowkey and nice to look at
I definitely see a lot of Stevie in Florence’s the concert dresses for sure. I looked up some photos of her too when I was researching and I love love love her style. Yep. One said bachelor’s degree required, PhD in computer science preferred. For $15 an hour. Part time. TEMP. I was like… are you serious? I made $18 an hour as a teller 🙃 and rent was lower then. It’s like things are getting more expensive but pay is going backwards.

I love your fairy clothes! I would dress up like you, but my figure has gone to waste. Plus the various aesthetics were not in when I was your age either! Were them while you can. 🧝♀️
Ty!! Im a firm believer that no matter your age or shape you should be able to wear what you love. 🥰
I love your hair color, do you dye it yourself? Also, that last dress with the under slip is perfect on you! ❤
Love it, could try Helena BonhamCarter!😊
Mmm I wanted those Cider pants. Maybe I'll pass. I can probably find black pants just like them and embroider the stars myself.
Binch you are gorgeous, you give me such dress envy because you always look STUNNING and I so wish I were comfortable in pretty dresses, but it's just a little too girly for me and I feel so off :(
Pretty sure the hand thing, is a vintage glove clip.
That hand clip is for gloves or a handkerchief
anyone else spot a strange pin at 10:00 👀 lol
OMG I DIDN’T NOTICE 🤣🤣
@@DressMeUpScotty 😂
You just got Chappelle Roan some views 😅
Hey I'm one of your newest fans but I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED WITH YOUR STYLE AND IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE EXCITING FOR ME IF YOU REPLYED TO MY COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BY THE WAY MY MOTHER INTRODUCED ME TO YOUR CHANNEL 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
That hand looks like a handkerchief holder for a chatelaine to me
That's a gloves pin, it clips to your dress or bag and you hang your gloves from the little gloves
Hi Goddess! Sorry your friends are treating you so poopy, (their loss). Never heard of Florence, but you both dress just my style, (Yo, Stevie!). Be you, Boo. They be the ones who suck!
Don’t you hate the low pay jobs requiring advanced degrees? On the east coast I was finding Secretary jobs that required a minimum associates degree for $7.50 per hour, like what universe?!?!
Yep. One said bachelor’s degree required, PhD in computer science preferred. For $15 an hour. Part time. TEMP. I was like… are you serious? I made $18 an hour as a teller 🙃 and rent was lower then. It’s like things are getting more expensive but pay is going backwards.
Just curious has anyone ever told you you look like ashnikko? Like your guy’s facial features you could be sisters.
I think you look a little like Ariana grande when she was younger. Just different hair!
Your hubs is cute 😂😂😂 a $15 mug is expensive LMAO try $250 mugs by independent sellers sir LOL.
