Carnivore saved me from GAPS. GAPS calls for whole grains, vegetables, and lots of fructose, which made me much, much sicker. After GAPS, which requires honey to be the only sweetener, it was as though I had an allergy to honey, something I had never experienced in my life. After having researched fructose I now understand why GAPS affected me like this. GAPS claims to be a gut healing diet, but I found it to be the opposite. Thank God I found carnivore instead.

No-plant GAPS is the carnivore version of GAPS. There are many different segments that are helpful for different people. My second son does great on GAPS whereas my daughter must be 100% strict no plant gaps or carnivore.

I have severe gastrointestinal Dysmotility in both my small and large bowel, with many episodes of pseudo-obstruction. My situation is a consequence of Sjogren's causing Dysautonomia, as well as abnormal Mast Cell Activation. I have been eating a very strict carnivore diet of primarily raw ground beef for the past 10 years. Carnivore has not been a miraculous cure for me, but it has kept me alive and able to eat real food. I personally do not want to do TPN as it has so many risks and is terrible for the body long term. I am not even sure I could tolerate it, given how reactive my body is to literally everything. I am so impressed with Jessica's ability to think for herself and take charge of her daughter's health. I appreciate that she is publicly sharing her daughter's story. Even though the genetic condition her daughter suffers from is extremely rare, there are many other people illnesses (especially autoimmune) that cause severe problems with intestinal motility who can benefit from her daughter's story and a carnivore diet.

We have found that the broth really was essential for my daughter as it has so many of the nutrients our traditional diets had! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share her story and I hope it gives more parents the confidence to take control of their children’s health🙏🏼

@ i have read Nourishing Broth and have consumed broth off and on over the years, but unfortunately it is very expensive for me to make it. I am on SSI and have a very limited income, so it is not financially possible for me to consume it regularly and still afford all the other things I need to survive. I have purchased your book through Amazon Kindle and am looking forward to reading it. May God bless all that you do to share this invaluable information. Christ is Born!

Are you familiar with Elliot Overton's thiamine repletion protocols?
Deficiency of thiamine can be the root cause of gastroparesis and dysautonomia.
No guarantees, but the more you know, right?

This really is an amazing interview. I am so happy for Jessica and her family! I just can't say enough about this young mother who has the strength to stand strong and persistent against the medical establishment and their BS! Jessica is so cute, well spoken, and positive under such difficult circumstances. She and her husband saved their daughter's life by going against the grain- I so admire her tenacity!
I had not ever heard of this rare disease and thought that I wouldn't relate to the story much but I found it so interesting AND I learned things about my ongoing familial health issues with gut issues and the big problems caused by slow motility. Thank you!
Dr. Baker, you seem like one of the few doctors who is always interested in learning more about different issues (rather than most doctors, who are either too lazy to do their own research or think they have everything figured out already). I'm wondering if you read these comments and how one might reach you to comment on these videos that might help others? For one, I have EDS. Listening to Jessica's story made me realize that EDS also comes with complex gut/ digestion/ food issues. This understanding can help so many of us are struggling with diet and trying to understand why our tummies are so unhappy so often. Anyway, thanks again to both of you. And, God bless! The two of you are a blessing!
Oh, on another note: Jessica, my partner has MG and he has had a feeding tube in the past. Thank God, he is eating by mouth now but it's possible that he will have to be back on a PEG tube again in the future. When I saw the junk/ sugar that they have in those formulas, I asked if I could cook and liquefy meat to put in in his feeding bag. The nurses said that all of the fat would gunk up the tubes and that it would be dangerous. If I understood you correctly, you were doing that for your daughter and it worked out okay??

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO! What happened to common knowledge that "roughage" ( now known as fiber) was eliminated in the diet for digestive/intestinal problems? What mind control/ deception keeps people including medical professionals from seeing the truth about the carnivore diet? God Bless

It's crazy. About 12 years ago, when I was diagnosed with gastroparesis, I was told not to eat plant fiber. I was told I could possibly eat it if it was cooked down to mush, but to generally avoid fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains. My wife was with me when I was told not to eat fruits and veggies and she was shocked, because she thought they were necessary. I found out I could eat highly processed foods, nut butters, rice, white bread, etc... but whole wheat bread, and anything with any fibrous substance, upset my stomach.

This reminds me of Lorenzo's Oil. Thank the Lord for parents who won't quit. We need to stop judging and declaring only one way...for everyone when it comes to getting healthy...we have different genetics, different injuries (think antibiotics and vaccines etc.) Accidents, long term misdiagnosed illness and the list goes on. The thing is never give up and don't just trust modern medicine and big Pharma. I am so happy for this family.
