Divert Living The green, cool and sweet dessert you both had is called បង្អែម លតស្វិត / Lot Svith. Its sweetness sauce might be from palm sugar, I guess.
The money you saw was all real. They are the smallest currency in Cambodia. (100riel or sometimes 500 and 1000riel). People there were not buying and selling money, they exchanging money tho. We do not bring small cash along, it is not comfortable. So we exchange money there for the smaller and cleaner cash, and that represents our purity and respect for the god. 100riel was specially designed for donating and using in the temple. That’s why it’s orange! (The color of the monk’s uniform) 🧡
One more thing : you are so right about showing respect to the monks🙏🏼🙏🏼. And the monk in the middle that two other monks holding his hand ( he is the Dhammayuttika Nikaya Patriarch The Supreme Patriarch of Cambodia ) you are so lucky to met him 🙏🏼🙏🏼。
Hi Jimmy and ta thanks for the adventure loving it and ta you really now have great skills in speaking and commentary love it you have in the last 12 months come into the role so well thanks you lovely couple Jenny
Such a great video! You experienced deeper into rural Cambodia lifestyle. I as a Cambodian myself have never been to Phnom Kulen and your video really makes me want to visit there.
I've been watching all your videos of Cambodia. I'm actually staying at the same apartment you guys are at next week. Thank you for showing what I'm about to experience!
This is very professional filming and really give others an insight to the different lifestyles and culture of Cambodia. you 2 have come a long way in your channel and still producing even better quality, content and its also informative and educational. Thank you.
You guys are just so adventurous! Love it! If you ever want to go Mount Kulaine again have one of the native bring you. Kulaine is one of the best attractions in Siem Reap but you have to have someone guide you...there are other good places to visit in the mountain. There are Apsara carvings in the stream. The waterfalls and tribal exhibit and dress up as the mountain tribal people would be something you want to do. I’ve been on Mount Kulaine a couple times and the things you’ve learned are just priceless. You can swing on the vine/swing made by the mountain people and you can also have the people serving as mountain escorts to take you up with their mountain bike for a very low price. Well worth it! My children loved it! The natives believed that the water on the mountain has healing power...so make sure to swim in the stream and waterfall especially with the little bridge and apsaras stones carving. Love your video!
It was a beautiful vlog and scenery. The Elephant shrine was worth the trip I am sure. Y'all have really made it to another level that no one else can keep up with. Thank you for lighting the fire for me and sharing the adventures. Please take some time for yourselves too!!
I really enjoyed watching you two exploreing all over the world. Especially in Cambodia where I haven't yet been to. So watching you two really gave me ideas of what i have been missing out on. And watching you two having the experience to explore the culture and being out in the country side really is a beautiful thing. Thank u for sharing!
@@DivertLiving When I am there at the end of August we will be going to Angkor Wat again. All the pictures I took while there disappeared on me. Will have to see what time we have because she has her Visa interview at the end of August and we need to make sure she has everything she needs for that I plan on us going to Cambodia at least once a year and will go see different area's when we are visiting
I just admired you guys exploring even the most remote areas of Cambodia, which is obviously not easy to do, though it’s exciting and fulfilling once you get to your destination. Thanks for sharing and explaining things in details. Be safe on all of your travels. From Jacksonville, Florida USA 🇺🇸🇵🇭
love you guys, watching your vlogs really lifts my inner human sounds a bit funny but it comes from a genuine place in my soul keep it up guys you are living out my travel dreams x
This was great guys... we visited Mt Kulen about a month before you guys and found it to be a special place also. We love Cambodia...it was our third trip back and there is so much to see. Would love to meet up and treat you guys to dinner some time.
Another nice video. It is definitely worth it but the average tourist is only around a few days so after a couple days of temple touring and the other possible closer venues (like floating village), it gets fewer tourists. For people who are around longer, venturing out further to Phnom Kulen, Beng Mealea and Koh Ker are all worthwhile trips.
Another great video. You two are really getting better and better. I like how you really go for it and dig into the more off the beaten path sort of adventures. Your both so personable and seem to be getting more and more comfortable sharing your real life experiences. You always seem to be willing and able to make real contact with the local people. Ok Ok so Jimmy does get a bit frustrated with language issues LOL. Tah your getting so good at explaining customs and various historical traditions ect. Your shooting and editing are really notching up. But please please keep it in your own style, its easy to try and replicate others. All and all you are for me the most enjoyable and downright fun couple in the travel vlog niche'.
Great video editing and presentation Jimmy and Tah. Both of you are amazing couple in sharing and respecting the local. I admire also your braveness in exploring deep into the Kulen jungle. There are a few other sacred places on Kulen mountain. One is the small well with natural mountain water source where people go to pray and collect water from the well. People consider that water as sacred water. They use it to wash head and face, etc to push away bad luck and bring back good health and luck (I hope I am right on that). In 2012, I even saw group of Indian tourists went there to collect water for their use. I did bring a small bottle of that water with me back to Canada too. The other place is the place where you can find the carving on the river bed. It is amazing how something like that was created hundreds of year ago. During dry season, it is easily to see the carving since the river water is shallow. By the way, do you know where all stone blocks used to built Angkor Wat came from? Anyway, once again thank you for sharing. I wish you both well and safe wherever you go.
Today was an absolutely beautiful special adventure to that most Holy area! I wasn't sure you were going to make it with theblavvk of goo d directions and problems with the motorbike but you succeeded. I wasn't sure about Cambodia but now I recognize it has special beauty unto itself. Thank you both for bringing that to us!
thank you Jeffrey, we were in the verge of giving up, so glad we made it - being there in front of their guardian got me goosebump, it's well worth it :)
I gotta say that's a really nice quality content out there , the way u capture the scenario and respects u have with the monks Like dang , I've never been there myself altho im Cambodian , ur making me feel like i wasted sth in my life for not yet visiting dat beautiful sacred place
Beautiful place! I'm tempted to fly halfway around the world so I can rent the room by the waterfall and eat sweet pineapples. Thanks, Tah for the etiquette lesson on monks. I still chuckle how everywhere you go in Asia and Latin America you're taken for a local. There are Buddha shrines in Hindu temples in Bali too. My Viet wife makes La Chon/ Sendol and it's delicious, but I don't know what it's called either. I guess you needed a dirt bike instead of that little 125 city bike. I really want to take that hike to see the lion and elephant statues now.
