The moderators have no power. They also only give candidates 90 seconds to answer, bc they're just trying to get a sound bite. Both candidates were allowed to talk back and forth without moderation, and each candidate had a few minutes per topic uninterrupted to lay out a platform. A million times better than our system in the US

Divided our country, gave birth to hatred and aggression in our society, tolerated that part of our country is occupied by Russian army for 30 years, disrespected our culture and native language. And you guys support another Putin’s lover? Putin is about totalitarianism and aggressive nationalism. If the free France chooses it, you are no longer supporting your democratic values. Good luck. There is a far left, but their ideas are much less prevalent in modern society. The far right ideas of xenophobia, isolationism, and authoritarianism are more popular with the masses and have a larger footprint in our society. When a far left person says we must not eat meat because of the animals, everyone else says "that guy is crazy". When a far right person says, "we have problems in this country and it's because of [insert other race/religion/ideology here]" a decent percentage of any population agrees. Far right ideas are much more acceptable to the masses. Far left ideas are often laughed off as impractical and unable to succeed.
