i loved how tecmo games kept stats and had player licenses. Tecmo NBA basketball was so good for Nintendo and Super Nintendo. This game definitely needs a reboot. Tecmo Super Bowl too.
Tecmo Super Baseball needed an MLB license. It was strange, though: few games back then ever got both licenses. The only one that seemed to was World Series Baseball.
The best team on game was by far.. Sacramento Kings(Pete Chilcutt) was unstoppable... Then Miami Heat. (Les Jepson) then the Clippers (Loy Vautt) try it now if you don't believe me!
EA was the big up and coming dog in the sports game market at this time and then Tecmo puts out this NBA title which was real quality and a total blast to play and blew away the EA titles. The only crappy part, unsurprisingly, was the lack of Michael Jordan's likeness or number on the Bulls roster and in this game. Anyone who played NBA games in the 90's though knew not to expect to see Jordan's name in any NBA game.

Absolutely!! Tecmo NBA Basketball is the best Tecmo Sports game not named Tecmo Bowl. Their baseball was pretty solid though.

Why did Tecmo ever stop making sports games? I would have loved to see them keep going into the playstation era.

Hornets, Pacers and Supersonics was fire. As far as players Kendall Gill, Wayman Tisdale, Walt Williams was some I remember that were really good
