what is the math behind resetting for an exp shrine? how many shrines/distant/max walk time u need to make it efficient, also factoring in sometime u loose to curse/death? bc if its right to fish for it then its right everytime even if u missed 10 or 100 times. if not: then dont fish

Just wanted to know your thoughts about it and considering your amount of game knowledge. Would a cheated run be very easily spotted ? Or is it really as easy as some people say to cheat? 100% not an attack on you it’s just I recently have heard many skeptical people implying it’s incredibly easy to cheat in D2 but without a seasoned veterans input I can’t really see how it’s that “easy”. When I see your runs I can sense an incredible depth of game knowledge and experience so I hope you can talk on this topic a bit. Ty so much for the content !
I have heard similar things and can't really offer much input because that involves an area of modification I'm not familiar with at all. There are definitely some things which are blatantly obvious, like if someone were to do a run using -seed: there are some common mistakes such as shrine icons that were revealed previously appearing 'found' when re-entering that location after a save & exit. But outside of this I don't really know much more on how to detect it. I don't really question runners who stream their attempts and do constant resets - but this doesn't necessarily rule them out from suspicion either. A random player won't just come along and beat a world record unless they are extremely lucky with their gear & maps and don't have anything to explain their reasoning for choosing the path they took without having actual knowledge of how map generation and things like that work.

Especially given the game is extremely RNG heavy then you add in bad ping rates and controversial lag which makes it a nightmare. Obviously it would make it harder to cheat if all games were offline but still it’s just not acceptable given the games style. Player count for one needs to be adjustable or else we are watching run’s that take massive extra time while the runners farm and level up which is a far cry for speed running entertainment. Also the map saving is a must for fast times. I don’t run the game so I’m 100% not a community member that needs his input heard haha but as a fan it’s already hard enough watching a 3-5 hour run… making it longer and harder just seems bad. Although anyone can slightly change drop rates to favor them and cop an epic WR and no one would know the wiser ….. outside the top 5% of speed runners of the game. I will say after watching some D2 speed runs and ESPECIALLY some RUclips D2 “drop highlights” things seem incredibly sketchy when one guy drops 2 Cham, 3 Jah , 4 Ber, 3 Lo , Ohm, Vex , Ist and more …. In 500 Arcane Sanctuary runs….. I mean heck everyone is looking for views right ?!? Or maybe his luck is just superior…lmao

it seems to me like you spend a lot of time waiting for the potion to give you enough mana to cast spells in the first act. Would it be faster to put one point into warmth and like 20 into energy instead of vitality or is the mana regen negligible??
any reason not to use the pentagram in chaos? Freeze the first one following you in and the rest are locked out, and let blizz work on a stationary crowd. Usually enemies doesn't spawn in it either. Very entertaining run.

Do you think anyone can beat this on 63 now? considering new BP is at least 1/9 improvement, so if you move 60% of a time, it add like 10 minutes just from movement speed (not mentioning less likely getting to spicy situations which also huge).

The item RNG in this run is very good, but it can be easily beaten by anyone that chooses to do Jail leveling early and/or classic strats

Noob/ non speed runner question: what is the point of doing telekinesis in the hub areas like kurast docks?
Telekinesis is naturally just faster because you're not required to walk up to the object unless absolutely necessary (waypoint, lever, orb, chests)

It's mostly for buying potions, the "yes" will unalign if you move your cursor more than one pixel in the new graphics

The mana regen is too little early on with a low mana pool unfortunately. Also more energy = more chance to crit with a mana potion

why does he always return to diablo 2 classic when buying pots?
Classic puts your cursor right above “yes” so it’s faster to buy portions. He’s also hitting enter at the same time as clicking to be even faster.
