What a beast run. You're pretty damn insane. For your hand btw. Extreme high repetition exercises with extremely low intensity (clicking a mouse, playing an instrument etc) can lead to overuse strains in your tendons/muscles. Consider doing grip strengthening with moderate and high intensity exercises + endurance at a moderate intensity like deadhangs (also great for posture). Consider getting finger extensor bands to strengthen extension as well. And practice putting pressure on your wrists (Tom Merrick wrist strengthening tutorial is fantastic) to strengthen the bones and other connective tissues - avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. This is the first video of yours i've watched. I'm keen to see many others! Thank you Kano!

Thanks for this video. 4 hours after ladder reset I would be usually doing tomb runs. And I always thought that those who are in hell after 4 hours have really good team of 8 players who cooperate real well. But you are showing that not only is it possible alone but also that I would actually have a better level going forward all the time than with trist runs till level 15, tomb runs till level 20+ and so on. Very useful video. And imagine getting like 20/20 pala or sorc torch and selling it on D2JSP just 4 hours after ladder reset. Would make some sick amount of FGs. Then you wait 1 week and buy full equipment for that amount of FGs. That's insane, but now I believe it's possible.
@@cwjalexx Since single player saves your game locally on your computer rather than on battle net you have full control over save game files. I think by pre-farmed items he meant copying items from one save to another. I don't remember seeing evidence of that kind of manipulation but I also didn't watch all of the 4 hour video. This is not possible with Diablo 3 or 4 for example because they don't have offline mode. Although I wish they had because I don't have time for item farming and as long as I play offline for my own entertainment I don't see problem with pre-farmed items.

Lol I’m doing a play through with my wife right now, she checks and plays with her inventory after elite mob kill. We’re like 4 hours in and haven’t even killed Andy yet. It’s so painfully slow, but at the same time I’m happy my wife will play my favorite game with me. This guy is amazing I think my fastest norm to hell Baal run..not including Ubers is like 8 hours. This is insanely awesome to watch.
Much respect to you great run! maybe review the gear at the end of your speed runs? It would be cool to see all the gear swaps and items you used at the end.
The one thing I'm very happy has changed with arpgs over the years is the advancement of health/mana technology so you aren't drinking 5000 gallons of mana pots per minute trying to do the content with any level of efficiency. While i appreciate how it slows the game down a bit making you want to be a bit more cautious with your skill use, it's a quality of life improvement not having to drop multiple town portals in the middle of a boss fight to have to go buy full inventories of pots just to sustain. That's just not good gameplay..

Amazing achievement. Although I play D2R regularly, when I see speedruns like this it feels the game is a lot about chugging potions which sort of makes this the primary skill for a speedrunner. Imagine the time one could do this if not having to stock up on potions every 3 minutes. :)
If you could provide a game plan in the beginning that would be great! Like my plan is to do X build then switch over so us non-speedrunners can understand choices :)

Yeah, some of the combinations in these rooms can get so scary to blind teleport into, especially when you're not a sorceress and you have a staff out instead 😂
lol omg i 'member... i played back in version 1.00 when d2 came out and there was no mana pots at vendors, only found from monsters and the stash was i guess 4x6 so you could fit only 3 polearms like a thresher side by side. when lod released it was i guess version 1.02 and there was mana pots, jools, runes etc. the game came a long way since then still. i mean back then we would mostly store gems anyway since there were no runes and jewels and on singleplayer there was no way to transfer items from one char to the other. so it was kinda pointless to keep them. many of us didn't have internet anyway so it was until way later when i was older that we did tcp/ip sessions and had lan partys where we would rape our left mousebutton for days. we also used hamachi later which was a tunnel software to simulate a local network over the internet. then we did tcp/ip games where we were all at our own home using plugy to have high runes and ladder rws outside the battlenet and do ubers and dclone. great times.
damn I remember playing this game when I was like eleven. I played the crap out of this game again and again and had practically every character on level 99. Then we got internet and all I was doing all day with strangers were baal runs. Good times. Maybe gonna relieve It.
Ok so first off crazy impressive. I tried to copy your exact run I’ve never tried a speed run ever and it’s VERY hard. Forget the learning of the map tiles but I’m actually dumbfounded how you STAY ALIVE through most of NM or hell. I watch your video and don’t understand you are killing bosses much faster with your nova than mine and I checked our dmg similar. I’m in hell now lvl 61 and I can’t do countess like you can I have same health but I get killed so fast how do you do it. Are you at 105 breakpoint ok fcr?? Just insane I don’t get it I can’t do it lol the skill gap is insane that’s why I love this game
Update ; I was on players 8!!! No idea how or why I didn’t notice but my hell countess was so much harder I didn’t realize until I checked and now I can do the countess like you. But I will say your clicking and avoiding being hit and timing your spells is elite which I’m learning to do . Thanks!!
Also I been doing a few countess runs and she just dropped ALL THREE KEYS in one drop. I’ve never had that before. Literally 3 keys all at once. I took a screen shot because it was unreal
Welcome back! It's a habit from D2LOD days, but generally speaking if your loading times are fast enough - it's quicker to talk to Warriv > go to act 1 and then access the waypoint from there. Rather than to run the longer distance to the act 2 town waypoint from the act 2 spawn location

I have no Idea if you look into comments of these older clips. I'm a relatively recent viewer who has gotten a greater interest in d2 speed running (or atleas running faster). I know these could be considered tutorials of sort, but I was woundering if you have/offer any more formal type of tutorial or guide runs. Either way thank you for your time and the videos.

I had no idea you were doing this. This is insane with so many close calls. I click on a random point in time I see a close call, e.g. 3:15:10 casual key pickup with 41 life... P.S. ahhhh it's softcore
So there's 3 areas with walls, barricades, catapults. Each of these areas can contain up to 2 camps. They are never near the cliff wall or edge of the map. So generally speaking you always try to navigate towards the centre of these areas. They will never be directly touching either, so realistically you get to one spot, teleport a full screen across and then check the next area if you haven't located it by then.
This is fun to watch. You’re doing much better with controlling hell countess. Question - when do you have enough money? Seems wasteful to pick up items from countess.

Having never seen anyone play the game in this way what’s the benefit to switching graphics when using vendors?
I don’t get how can you tell which is the tal Rasha tomb without looking at the symbol? I can tell you look at the quest but the symbol doesn’t appear and it makes me so confused

how did you find the barbarians in a5 without have map open ? is it a fixed pattern? you basically tped directly to all of them
So there's 3 areas with walls, barricades, catapults. Each of these areas can contain up to 2 camps. They are never near the cliff wall or edge of the map. So generally speaking you always try to navigate towards the centre of these areas. They will never be directly touching either, so realistically you get to one spot, teleport a full screen across and then check the next area if you haven't located it by then.
How is your game running so smoothly, loading so fast. It takes me like 30 second take a wp
