    As a Kurd from Mardin I welcome you to my home town. What makes Mardin also so special, is the history. The city is estimated to be at least 5000 years old.

    I am from Mardin. Thank you for explaining my city very well.Even if I live in Cyprus for now, I go to my hometown to see my family every year and find peace. Mardin is a city that smells of history

      @@Mr-vy2lb Yukarı (that means "upper") Mardin and Midyat districts of Mardin are more touristic. And of course, the municipality keeps such valuable places clean in terms of tourism.

    I visited 25 cities in Turkey and my favorite is definitely Mardin. When I saw Mardini, I had similar feelings as yours. happy travels

    I am originally from Mardin. I am so glad that you are not like the others who just come visit Istanbul and some cities near Ege and go back. There are 7 different regions in Turkey and each has its own distinc culture to offer. You are the cutest. We love you :)

    Loved the girls flowing red dresses. Just so cute, like flamenco dancers. Lovely to witness how sweet the Turkish people are towards your family. Seeing the world and earning respect from all the different people in other countri8es is the best education the girls could ever have.     When I see some abroad people coming and visit our City and they like it. I'm really proud and feeling good. And yes you were right there is not much people know about Mardin because it's special. But about 2 years people are start to know and they're coming a lot. And it's wonderful.     As a Turkish, I got shocked when I first visited Mardin as well. I also visited the monastries out of the city as well. I felt the root of civilazitons deeply there. Hope, I will visit again.

    I know this video has been posted some time ago but wanted to let you know how much of a pleasure it was to watch it. I've been planning to get to the south east of Turkiye for a couple of years (covid upset those plans). I did get to Turkey last October 22, but not this far.     Thank you for broadcasting my city in a beautiful way. As born and raised in Europe I only visit Mardin once in my life.
    Mardin has a lot of history from the Babylonians , Greek, Jews, Romans and a lot of Christian’s still living there.
    There are a lots of churches and mosques build around each other and the Christian’s and Muslims live in peace. ❤
