Karin Bohn is the founder and creative director behind the award-wining Vancouver-based design firm, House of Bohn (www.houseofbohn.com). Karin established the interior design firm over 8 years ago, and since has made her mark on the West-Coast Canadian design scene in many industries including high-end residential, multi-family, restaurants and retail. Karin’s passion to create is the reason behind her RUclips channel. In addition to working at the helm of her interior design firm, she experiments with storytelling and "giving-back" in a digital medium - video. Her self-titled RUclips channel is an on-going passion project and online world that’s not only a space to share her expertise in interior design, style and business, but is also dedicated to helping others grow their own successful businesses.

I needed to hear that bit today, when you said that business is essentially solving one problem/challenge and then moving onto the next......I have just been getting a bit overwhelmed lately and needed reminding that business is all part of the ride.
Having my own online business can be very tiring at times. But if you know how to have fun and give time to yourself, you will see that everything is worth it. Every day is a problem to solve, we will learn from it and eventually, will teach us to move forward to be better than yesterday.
I agree with that! It is very tiring to manage a business. Some time for rest is definitely needed for fun and rest!

Hey Karin, you are so inspiring and give us so much to think of. What comes to my mind seeing this video is, what is the real purpose why you want to step back from Project work??? Isn´t this the lifeline of your business? Isn´t your expertise and your eye for design the reason that clients want to work with you? I´m really sure that you have great Designers in your team that are all very talented in their unique ways.... but that would still not be you when you don´t get your hands on these designs or am i thinking in the wrong direction. I just can´t follow the thought that giving away these main competence is serving your business as your individual masterpiece that you created. Or is your focus only running an extremly successful firm and not pushing forward your own design style and ideas? I would really love to hear your thoughts on that. Maybe i got something wrong here. Keep up what you´re doing and i really appreciate that we can be part of it by watching your content. :) XX

Why so early lunch!! Here in Argentina we have luch at 13 or 14 in the afternoon, then another meal at 17 or 18 we call it media tarde, and then at 21 or 22 dinner.. jajaja we loove our food

Hi Karin, I notice you are using a standard measuring tape. Do you prefer them over a laser measure? I've never use a laser measure before, but have heard that they are very easy to use.
