The only thing that didn't sound quite right were the bends in the chorus, they seemed a little sharp but the only explanation I can think of is personal preference because you played the whole song so... comfortably :)

Yes they absorb the sound so it doesnt bounce off the wall and make an echo/delay sound
It helps with the sound in the room so it doesn’t echo when recording
