We couldn’t resist starting our Turkish food tour off with the famous Izmir boyoz, a must eat breakfast in Izmir. There’s one place that’s famous for the Izmir boyoz that we just knew we had to try them at, so we headed there first for our food tour. We were surprised by the flakiness of these famous pastries, and couldn’t resist trying a whole pile of them!
We continued our Turkish food tour looking out for some unique street foods and found a place that specializes in ciğer, liver. This famous restaurant does ciğer up super thin, giving it the name leaf liver.
The street food in Turkey is always so flavourful and unique, it’s no wonder that Turkey is famous for its cuisine!
Fish is very popular and famous in Izmir so we couldn’t resist trying some fish while we’re here in Izmir on this Turkish food tour.
To finish off our Turkish food tour looking for the most amazing street food in Turkey that we could find, we went to a famous place in the Kemeralti Bazaar that does up the most delicious köfte. Their köfte ekmek, the ultimate street food, was just to die for and the hospitality was next to none.
We had such a fun time exploring Izmir, searching for all the best street food we could find here in Izmir, Turkey. We hope you enjoy this Turkish food tour, and stay tuned for some more street food adventures in Turkey!

Boyoz is a very specialty brought by Iberian Jews to İzmir in the 15th century when they were expelled from Spain. U should also try the İzmir Simit. İt's very delicious and U'll find it nowhere than in İzmir. Eat it fresh or it will get very chewy next day.

the boyoz place is the most famous, therefore the most expensive, but far expensive.
they just abuse the appreciation and they charge to customers for being appreciated so much.
there are many other places that are 90% the same, but maybe half the price.
they offer lemonade for 12 TL, while the 100% pomegranate juice was 12 TL too, at another place.
