I like your videos. You get to what needs to be done with video that shows each step. I have a 2007 corolla and used your videos to replace the front and rear mounts; rear was frustrating but got it done. Now need to do this one and the left. Thanks.
Thank you so much you made look so easy. I'm trying to take of pulley and replace with new one but I need to lift or jack up engine just enough to get pulley off.
awesome video. I did mine, turned out it was toast and making a clunk that I thought was actually coming from the right strut. The nuts were a pain in the butt. Also I had to lift the motor quite high to get the new one in as the old ones hydraulic portion had leaked and the motor was down on that side quite a lot
What is the part called that connects the the motor mount and the alternator mine snapped and I can't figure out what to type in seems like a alternator bracket but when I type it in for a 2007 Toyota Corolla it doesn't pull up anything
@@DIYAutoworksNG if this helps there is a 12 mm bolt above the 14 mm bolt when taking the alternator off the part that holds the 12 mm bolt snapped and it looks like it's connected to the motor mount if that helps
I think I now know the part you are talking about. It's a bracket to which the upper alternator bolt is mounted right? I have also searched and can't seem to find the actual name/part number. Do you want to try getting one from a junkyard?
From what I can see, you'll have to remove the passenger side mount, then the part itself has 3 bolts on it. The top one which is quite visible and 2 underneath.
i used a ratcheting box wrench and they were not too bad. you can get them easier using a 3/8 drive with a deep socket. 1/2 just wouldnt fit in there from the top.
Well done, no-nonsense video that shows you what needs to be done and nothing more.
Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments! Happy you found them helpful. That rear is the most challenging!
This is the best video on how to do this. This will be the fourth new mount on a 2006 Matrix 4WD with 210,557 miles.
Thanks!
Is it OEM or AM mounts that you've been using?
@@DIYAutoworksNG Front and rear are aftermarket. L and R are oem. Oh, and it drives like new.
Great

Thanks for the compliment! Haven't pulled off the pulley on this car, would have offered a tip or two. All the best.

Thanks, John. Yea, front end sounds can come from almost anywhere😂.
The extra lift is what you always have to do in collapsed mounts. Good job!
Superb DIY my man. Thank you!!!
Thanks, mate!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Could you have tighten the loose bolt without taking it off?
Absolutely! Can be tightened on the car.
I believe this engine is similar to 1NZ of mine is!
Yep. Similar, though the 1NZ-FE is 1.5L while this is a 1.8L engine
Ha having problems loading up the bolts to put the engine mount back into the in subframe
Just play with it, it should enter. This one is the easiest of the 4 mounts.
Hey I broke the bolt that hold the mount to the frame ( close to the window ) now he's dancing and can't go out , any suggestion?
Can you describe the bolt you're describing a bit more? Haven't been able to place it yet...

Are you describing the part that has something that reads like buz... written on it in white?

How much was the torque? 52 what?
Nm
Thanks
You're welcome!

🙏🏼 Gracias
Its virtually impossible to approach the underneath bolts from the top. There's very little space to put your ratchet into.
It worked for me though, as you saw in the video. Most people get it from underneath though.

@@johnarnold2104 I got it done with a wrench. It was brutal but it worked. Took about 3 hours. Those underneath bolts are very tricky.
@@livewireredb.9953 wow. That's some patience. Not sure how it could take that long. I was Maybe 15 minutes total for the swap.
@@johnarnold2104 Haha Those bolts were on there extremely tight. The angle was an awkward fit approaching it from the top.
