The good, bad and ugly of digital billboards

Local billboard companies want more digital signs in Kansas City but not everyone`s on board. Right now, digital billboards aren`t allowed in KCMO, with the exception of a few that were grandfathered in, but a new ordinance would change that.

Digital billboards are probably the worst thing to appear recently. If there are few of them and located off residential areas, then they may be tolerated, but if there are too many of them, the picture changes too rapidly and realistic and they are too bright and the most and foremost, they are close to residential areas, it's a complete bane. They completely spoil a peaceful daytime picture, make you feel nervous during gloomy or rainy days with their flickering, and making you completely shut up curtains with dusk coming because they are a huge light trespass.
Fortunately, there are not so many of them in the US, but in Canada. What's wrong with Canada? They are everywhere there even amidst residential buildings working 24/7. Canada because of excessive outdoor LED screens looks like a 3rd world country to me.
