I was there too. I was about 5 minutes late for an early English Comp class and when I got there the theater was empty. Everyone was downstairs in the library standing around the TVs. Never forget it. God Bless everyone involved !!!! Almost !!!
I was an EMT at the time during the tragic events of the Devastating September 11, 2001. I was actually down there while the former Sergeant McCloughlin of the New York City Port Authority Police Department was rescued by many other firefighters and other 1st responders. My father actually worked frequently in the World Trade Center and was supposed to be there that morning but thanks to me being sick that morning he was late for the train and when he finally decided to get to work it was to late. He got to his office 6 blocks away when the 2nd plane hit the other tower and that’s when he called me quickly and just said I love you and I miss you and will see you tonight. I was 20 years old at the time. So I was very much aware of what was going on but still extremely scared and terrified just like everyone else. I just wanted my Dad my Dad to come home I always tell everyone to tell those close to you that you love them and goodnight because tomorrow is not promised. Never go to bed angry. Great video. Very nostalgic for me. Gave me goosebumps honestly.
Justin, I don't mind your long videos at all. You always have great 👍 content and, I don't even notice the time 😁. Glad you Finally found somewhere to eat, looks like you went on a hike to find a place, so I'm happy it was worth it in the end. Fingers crossed all works out and you get loaded sooner rather than later 🤞. Take care and safe travels. God bless you 🙏. Hasta manana' 🖐️.
I lived in Austin and was sleeping (had worked PM shift) when my then BF woke me and said "We are going to war"... I asked him what did he mean...he said "Look" (pointing to the TV), less than 10 seconds later the second plane hit the other Tower and I remember yelling "Nooooo". We stayed glued to the TV from then until we returned to work 2days later. Everyone was quiter than usual and the mood was very subdued for nearly a month. I worked in the Semiconductor industry then; what I remember the most were All the Red Eyes behind those safety glasses and bunny suits. Prayers for All those lost, those who fought to save others and everyone effected by this tragedy 😢🙏.
Justin when I got my license an my first job I delivered pallets today power partners. I did one load a day up there. I haven't been to that place in years.
@@JustTruckin yes sir. Where you went all the way around the building an stopped at the barricade, I would go in the other side of it and they had some lines on the ground an I park in there an get unloaded.
Justin, Great video. It had a different feel to it. Kind of like what Leland Sklar did this summer when he was on tour with Lyle Lovett. Leland plays bass in Lyle's Large Band and he posted video tours of the concert venues where they played. Very interesting and unique, like this video. I am so impressed with the way you conduct yourself while dealing with so many crazy and bizarre situations! God bless you and your family.
September 11 I was living in Brooklyn ny, I was in high school that morning, my school was on Tillary st right between the entrance of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge!! Everybody from Manhattan was walking the bridges to Brooklyn. Ppl crying and everything. There was burnt paper falling front the sky in Brooklyn from Manhattan. It was crazyyyy! 😢
I was in my 5th period 8th grade history class when we were told what happened. I was sent home early and saw the towers fall on the news. Being only 1hr and 10 from New York at the time it was real scary. Pray for all the people who were lost that day. Never Forget
9-11 I was working on an air force base. Was mowing the parks when we got told to bug out. No one could tell us what b was going on. Really got spooked when leaving the bass and seen security police in full gear and you could tell their weapons were hot. Fun fact it was supposed to be my wedding day.
Enjoyed the video and tour around Athens. That big empty parking lot you found downtown was the original Athens location for The Varisty, "what'll ya have, what'll ya have".
I was heading to my delivery in Netcong, NJ, then to Holyoke, MA to pickup my backhaul of paper for Sonoco Products in Robesonia PA. From the Sonoco Products Paper mill in Holyoke, MA. The whole way down rt 95 south there were nothing but National Guard vehicles and fire trucks and ambulances and drop decks with backhoes, bulldozer and portable equipment, lights and bobcats heading to NYC. Last thing I saw before heading to my layover was the smoke from the tower site as I crossed the Tappan Zee bridge heading to NJ for the night.
Justin, when they put all that stuff in your truck, they did not stack it right or make sure the wood do not break or the Palić break. I used to unload the trucks at Home Depot when he came in and that’s the first thing we looked for broken pallets anything pending to the sides that really dangerous fresh download the trucks even when it came to the to the trees and plants and garden. One time we open the door for the garden department on the truck, and all the trees and plants came out, landing on the ground so we told him we weren’t done except the order and we put everything back in the truck because it all came flying out. I’m glad they excepted the order
Wish I had known you were in Athens. I would have definitely met up with you and gave you a tour around the stadium, campus and downtown in the Porsche convertible.
I haven't stepped into a regular grocery store since I got my Costco membership awhile back. I cut all energy drinks, sodas, and juice out and just drink water or Nutrabio protein powder.
Hey Justin just curious how come you don't tape and texture the walls just inside your front door at the lake house ?it's super easy to do.i know your busy but 3 hours it could be complete ??
I had just gotten off shift from the Fire department in Indianapolis,In and I was fixing to go to bed for a little bit longer and I hard the tones go off for a stand by message
I remember the National Guards men and extra police at the GWB for a few months afterwards. Looking in the back of just about every truck and trailer before you could cross. Soon afterwards ALL commercial traffic was routed to the top level only. The thought being that a explosion would leave the bottom level fairly intact. They did this on the all the two story bridges.
did some research from where you parked your semi in the abandoned parking lot. use to be a place called "The Varsity" and they served hot dog, hamburgers, fries, onion rings, pies, and shakes
I was on a night run. By time I got home they stopped playing the video. It took 10 years for me to watch them. So it must be like the end of the world on the radio. But that night was my first date with my wife.
Outstanding job on the footage. I feel like I visited it personally. Thanks for the tour. I hate it when you feel like the day's gonna come together and then all of sudden it falls falls apart. But you made good use of the time both yours and mine thank you.

Good morning JUSTTRUCKIN FAMILY, thanks for the video the drone footage of the stadium was awesome so with the load going home will you be able to get detention pay be that the broker told you 3oclock pick up but they are saying 11oclock ?Thanks for all your hard work and I would love to come help you polish the truck up if you could have it at the lake house let me know a good time and day for you and maybe one weekend I could come down and stay at the lake house and polish up the truck be careful and stay safe
On 9-11, We were installing a double garage door and the customer came out of her home and said you need to come inside now and see this. I thought it was a Japanese movie she wanted me to see on TV, what the heck. Then no sooner the second plane hit the south tower. Holy cow, this was the real thing. I'm still shocked.
I was sitting in building traits. Each classroom had a phone to call other parts of the school & it started ringing. Our teacher, who just so happens is a preacher, answered it and talked for about 15 to 20 seconds probably. As he hung up, he turned to the ones of us sitting near by and said "I hope you boys know your maker" and walked out of class. Several of us wondered what was going on so we ask the Auto Mechanics teacher in the room next door and he told us a plane (1st one) had hit The World Trade Center in New York. 😢🙏#NEVER🫶FORGOTTEN🙏😥
From the first clip i can never understand why they think using 2x4s as a base like that is a good idea. They always collapse from the smallest shift in weight.
