Video Idea: NBA players you probably have forgotten about
Random 20+ppg scorers (one year wonders?)
The goat John salmons had like a 20+ bucks season
Mike James …who Mike James (tor)
Jakkar Sampson has one 20.0 PPG season in 4 whole games for Chicago lol
How about every teams "what if player"?
You know, injuries... Grant Hill, McDyess, Roy... etc.
OR
Every teams "what if scenario"?
Like for example.... how the Magic could have had a Chris Webber/Shaq duo...... my god.... or how the Magic could have had an Amare/DHoward duo.... or the Baby Bulls swapping LMA for Tyrus Thomas (Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, LMA, Noah..... come on)
Josh Smith really had the whole league in the back pocket for couple mins💀
Literally 2 mins lol
Most people don't know David Lee, he was amazingly strong and his middy was amazing.
I'm glad he got a ring before GS shipped him out.
loved watching Jose Calderon when I was a kid
💯
Jameer Nelson, Corey Maggette, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis, Caron Butler, Michael Redd, Mike Bibby, Al Jefferson.
haven’t watched the video yet, rockets should be an aaron brooks or a luis scola imo
edit: yup, scola deserves the nod
Avery Bradley was such a beast, an abaolute MENACE on defense!! I remember back when i was a kid i would looove having him on 2k to lock up the best player on the oponents team 1 through 3
You’ve heard Jeff Teague’s story of playing against him? Look it up if you haven’t. Jordan Crawford goes on his show and talks about him too
I think José Calderón is one of the most beloved Raptors of all time. That stretch where he hit 87 consecutive free throws and set the NBA record for FT% was pretty special considering it wasn't a great season for the team overall.
Bro, NO star is ever forgotten. A benchwarmer, sure, but not a star. As a knicks fan I have big respect for David Lee
I believe he just meant that these players are often looked over-they’re under appreciated.
Being 12 watching this really hits. Its a good thing I know ball cuzz I would not no any of these dudes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jit a youngling 😭🙏
you should make a video about the most undeserving awards - players that got awards or made all nba/rookie/defense teams who DEFINITELY should not have
Nailed it for Utah. Memo money Okur.
I would have gone with Josh Howard for the Mavs. He was an All-Star in 2007. He had a very promising start to his career before drugs derailed it.
Michael Finley
@@derickferrer8898 I don’t really count him as forgotten.
keep up the content gang, love all your videos
I genuinely love your content. I love basketball man
For my Celtics, yo could also put Tony Allen in there. But I would go with Antoine Walker, he had a few years in the early 2000, where he was about 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists. And everyone thought he was trash because of Paul Peirce.
Its funny how me being a bit older gives me a different perspective with some of these players.
The Kings.... this is the one that got me. I had no idea he was most known for the Harden trade among ppl a bit younger than me.
When you say Kevin Martin to me, all i think is pure scorer from the Kings, i often forget he even played for anyone else and im an OKC fan.
Memphis.... yo.... Rudy Gay on that Grizzlies team, to this day, is the only player ive ever seen consistently contain KD. Granted, it was a young KD, but no one else was doing it.
Warriors, shoulda went with BDiddy.
Rockets... Scola makes sense, Battier, imo, makes more sense.
Dallas has to be Michael Finley. I dont even hear people mention him anymore but there is a reason why he was dubbed "the other Mike".
Hornets, id go with Batum.
His first couple seasons with them, look at his advanced def. numbers. Dude was a defensive nightmare but the Hornets did a terrible job with team construction and coaching. So sadly, it seems like he just started phoning it in.
Hawks.... Josh Smith was NEVER underrated my man. If anything it was the reverse.
Ill give you Turk on the Magic too. He had one or two seasons where he was completely ignored or overlooked but it was him and Shard that created these mismatches, that teams had such a hard time dealing with. DHoward did what he did, because of those two.
Utah and Pacers, honestly, theres like 8 players for each team that where super overlooked or underrated.
I do know this J.O. was not underrated in the least. He was always in the conversation for top 3 centers in those years. Right next to Shaq and Yao, after them it was basically an argument over J.O. or Ben Wallace and sometimes Zo. Depending on year, Bogut would be tossed in.... and Bulls fans would throw in Brad Miller.
OKC..... no need to go with Sonics, Roberson.
Robersons defense was so good that he created a -19OPPG. In other words on his own, his defense basically removed the production of a 3rd option.
Nuggets... imma go with a funny one, but you had to be there.... JR Smith.
He was inconsistent because... you know... its JR Smith. But every 3rd game or so, dude looked like the best SG the NBA had ever seen. He had nights where he looked better than Kobe or TMac.... then the next two games he'd go for 4 and 7. Such a weird but unique player and it was mind boggling as a bball fan.
Detroit, Antonio McDyess. Come on... Blake? Hes not even in the top 10 underrated Pistons.
Lou Will for lakers ???
Bro definitely didn’t watch lakers after shaq left easily Lamar Odom should’ve been on that spot come on SROS
A little old for the video, but Austin croshere was nice w/ the pacers back in the day too- and what about Bobby sura w/ Cleveland & Houston
Boston has a thing for defensive guards like imagine facing a line up of rondo Bradley and smart as a guard rotation in the 2010’s
BOBCATS LEGEND GERALD WALLACE
Iggy had one of the most underrated dunks in the 06 contest
Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette was Good in Golden State Too.
I think most players who people believe could be significantly better if they "try harder" are actually just bad in certain ways people can't ascertain. That being said, Josh Smith could have been an elite third option if he actually tried, real shame.
Current NBA players who will be forgotten
Jose Calderon, one of the greats of the Spanish golden generations
Oh yes indeed! Devin harris was a spectacular often injured talent. Spectacular player. Another great what if case but he always showed electric skills when healthy
Danny green is an honorable mention for San Antonio, Toronto and lakers
How can there be a list of NBA players who don't get enough love and Andre Miller never gets mentioned?
man... that yellow and green jersey might be one of the hideous jersey ever 8:17
Devin Harris, Ramone Sessions, Rashard Lewis, Jamir Nelson, Mo Williams, Hedo Turkoglu, Danny Granger
Mans looked at Dereck Fisher and said Lou Williams 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rank every nba teams old core
I gotta do man… 0:05 seconds into the video was crazy
Al Jefferson in his prime was like SHAQ
The streets will never forget lakers Lou Williams
Shoutout to 2000s pistons jerry stackhouse
Did Matt say that Mo Williams was the best teammate Lebron had in Cleveland 😭😭😭😭
Lol think he just meant the first stint
Yea
I mean it sure as fuck ain't old ass Shaq or Antawn Jamison. It's either Mo or big Z lmao
Don't think all these guys are underrated. Some of them get their respect
Jason Terry and Malik Monk are the same player
No terry is a much better passer
As a Canadian never gonna forgive Jason Richardson for what he did to Nash. If you know, you know.
AK 47, Brandon Roy,Zydrunas Ilgauskas
David West wasn’t on NO when they became the Pelicans. He was well on his way with the Pacers by then.
David West In NO was a beast better than he play in Pacers.
Jose Calderon was like Mark Price lite which isnt a bad thing
Gay got two steals a night. Big man in the top ten steals
Matt I’m disappointed in u as a Lakers fan… I thought u would’ve put either one of these 5 as the most underrated Laker: Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom, Alex Caruso or KCP 💜💛🤦🏼♂️
What about Brad Miller?
and tayshaun prince for his defense for the pistons led to a chip
McDyess bro.
That man was an unsung hero for that team. They dont deal with all those big men, without him.
Or you know what?
It might sound crazy but IMO Billups, to this day is underrated.
Pure floor general who controlled the tempo of the game like no other.. actually...... Nash is the only other guard ive seen, control tempo for an entire game as well.
I remember the CP3 or DWill, best PG in the NBA arguments and i was just lkke.... "yo.... do yall not know who Billups is?" But 20-10 can mesmerize the ESPN repeaters.
If anyone had any questions, he then took an out of POs team to the WCFs and then, while barely producing, floor leadership alone, got the Knicks to the 2nd rd.
It sounds wild but to this day i never hear him talked about as one of the best PGs ever or in the last 20 years even.
Luis scola was my favorite in NBA 2k
Terrance Ross
Ty Lawson
I think Deron Williams is a god one
How is Rasheed forgotten in Portland? Hes one of the most popular Blazers of all time.
Haha ik it’s for people that aren’t blazers fans may forget how good he was there. Who would you say then?
Quincy acy
Dang i remember all these guys u have named
Rudy gay was the best player in 2k I swear
TJ Ford on the raptors
Dude always taking shots at the heat, must be a celtics fan lmao
Loved Dragic. Was hurt by the fact that he was 100% against another reunion. Idk what happened but he does not like the organization
I would've gone with Danny Granger for Indiana. Had a great 5 year peak and way less memorable than Jermaine O'Neal
No swaggy p for the lakers 🤯🤯🤯 Lou Williams year and a half was so forgettable no offense cause he was a crazy bucket
Calderón LOVE ❤❤❤
Buddy is 24! O.o
In the 2000’s NBA, if you were a 15-20 ppg scorer, you were a real problem for opponents in the league. Not like in todays NBA.
The game was played with: Slower pace, value every possession, focused defensive and offensive play. You didnt just Chuck up bad shots and make bad low IQ decisions to waste possessions back then. If you did you got hurled to the bench and ridiculed. The game was just valued differently than today. No hating, it’s just saying it as it is.

Where’s the love for AK47?
