I couldn't imagine what the cast was feeling in that moment, especially André! I remember hearing the story of how he learned of the lockdown when he went to the theater, got into his costume ready for another performance, only to be the only person in the entire building, and getting a message from one of the crew members saying, "Don't you know what's going on?? Check the news!" I don't know how he or anyone was able to not burst into tears of joy over finally being back home! 💗 Now I just have to wait until they finally mount the national tour to see the show, since I can't afford to fly to New York to see a Broadway show. 😂 Spring has come again, and the world came back to life! 💐
I know this is random, but i was there, row p and hades and persephone both started tearing up, they were both wiping their eyes. it was so moving i could tell they missed it just as much as we did
@DiscoCrows i made it to the opening night of wicked on broadway. it was the best experience of my life. moments like that are truly something special and surreal

When Andre unbuttoned his jacket, just before he revealed the vest underneath, someone in the audience shouted, “Welcome home!” That was a moment that I will never forget. It was one of those moments when it was undeniably clear that spring has indeed come again.
You have the means! Record and release this!! We would pay money for this!!! What an amazing cast, so brilliant and special! People who cannot visits NYC want to see them perforrrmmm!!! 👏👏👏
Please, please, please. This show got me through lockdown, continues to carry me through climate grief, through the capitalism blues... a pro-shot would mean the world to so many people without the means to see it live.
In the show i saw he was barely moving and the audience loved it. He came out. Long round of clapping, then a pause. He adjusted his tie. More clapping. And it went on like this for four rounds before he even spoke a word.
I don't know anything about this musical but imagining how it must feel to the actors to have the audience on their feet before they ever begin made me cry

I had NO IDEA that his costume has little fringe feathers on the arms! This is fantastic. Haven't had the chance to see in person but love the cast recording. Welcome back you glorious people!
I was at the reopening of Wicked on Broadway and I've never experienced anything like it and probably never will. This brought me right back to that energy and emotion. Thank you for sharing this incredible moment with us all. I hope everyone involved stays safe and healthy and that this show enjoys the long run it deserves. It's a beautiful show and story.
