From a teddy bear found by the cabin crew to a laptop left in the lounge. Locating the owners can sometimes be a challenge, so special forces have been hired…

Yes, it's a lot of fun. Personally I think he is a real asset to the company. And he can really do something no one else can. Our main goal is to return lost items to the owner. As fast as possible. To do that, we monitor social media. And the crew checks the plane after every flight. I really like the fact that we are now getting some help with that.
We train for muscle strength, endurance, and of course socialization.
When you see the reactions of the passengers that really is amazing. He drops by regularly but I have to admit: I do spoil him a bit.

Last 2 weeks ago I just came back from Amsterdam and I really saw him running around and play with the kids, He kind of so cute and adorable. I will go back there again!!!
MY GOD THIS IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. I will be leaving stuff on the plane just so I can hug this little fella!

Wow, his job is actually incredibly difficult even for a professional detection dog. Finding the right scent in all that activity and movement and with so many people. Kudos. It was also really cute. Nothing like seeing a happy dog do what he was bred to :)
As a beagle owner, there's really nothing that can really say how amazing these dogs are.
Thank you KLM for setting a good example of taking the initiative to search for owners of lost items. The reaction from owner having their belongings returned is priceless, especially when it's from a cute canine. Intelligent dog with great senses. This is also a reminder to passengers to take care of their belongings. Not all airlines would go to the extent to search for the owner of lost items. And not all ground staff are honest.

The other airlines should learn a thing or two from your video. It is amazing and you guys do a phenomenal job. To reunite a little boy or girl with their favorite item is priceless.

Thanks KLM!! He is such a cutie an happy pup plus he makes so many people happy and even enjoy their stay at the airport. Thanks to KLM my family and I were able to leave our country Jan/61. My baby turned 7 mos that same day and I was almost 4 mos pregnant. The baby had an ear infection taking meds since the night before but still feverish, crying a lot. When the plane starting descending he cried so much I stood up trying to sooth him, the flight attendant came over right away and told me I had to sit down, it was dangerous. By that time the babie's cries were heard all over the plane, she told me OK, sat on the arm rest of my passenger seat and held me until we landed which was very smoothly! I couldn't stop thanking her, what a sweet and good person, I am still thankful and will always be!! It was my baby's first and sad flight of his country he really never knew, I was only 20 yrs old! Thanks again KLM!!

I don't know whether this dog really does something for KLM but anything about KLM brings a smile, good memories from flying with the Dutch airline. To this day I believe KLM is the best airline in terms of customer service. And Netherlands is the best country I've ever stayed in as a company intern. Very nice and friendly people, supporting communities, very well organized road system, a pleasure to ride their Spoorwegen and a better treat was flying KLM on a transatlantic flight. The flight attendants were the best in the industry. Flying KLM was one happy journey.
My deep respects to all the employees of this fine company.
I often have fun greeting the Dutch travelers to the USA with "Ho!".

KLM lost and found is pretty good, I left an iPad on a 744 from EHAM-VIDP10 days later when when returning back they had the iPad at New Delhi airport.

That is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. People are often stressed and tired when they travel, and seeing this dog is bound to cheer them up. He is adorable.

my only concern is interacting with people with allergies to dogs. I think that there should be some warning before entering the airport that there will be work dogs present or something of that matter, but other than that that dog is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

And another note: Many animals just love working with humans. That is what I like about the ad, it shows a big commercial organisation allowing animals to help, and you can see, he really wants to help. Good ad.

I have three adopted beagles from shelters. I live in the U.S. I absolutely adore them. Such smart, and beautiful dogs.
I have flown with KLM many times and found their service the best, or tied with JAL. I am not surprised they have this service. It is a great service, and I hope it can be replicated in the other countries. Good ad. It shows heart. I hope other airlines can think to use animals like this as well.

Hierin speelde onze Beagle Luna de hoofdrol. Helaas hebben we haar 15-02-2024 moeten laten inslapen. Ze zou vandaag 13 jaar geworden zijn. Dat zijn momenten dat we met een traan nog even naar onze stoere meid kijken. Ze was een echte beagle en altijd blij.

Woah, i think my ears are trying to hear english but i know its a foreign language.
I am dutch, and the first sentence or two that the first woman spoke really made me think 'wtf, is this woman speaking dutch?' Then I realized she does, but that the initial sentence just has a weird inflection; it's an answer to a question we don't hear.
That combined with her hearing so much english at her job that her accent tends to shift to an average of what she hears all day long probably makes it a bit harder, although she is quickly back to accentless dutch after the first sentence or so. Besides that, she's also got a camera from KLMs PR department pointed at her, so there's probably some nerves of being on her best and most charming behaviour! It tends to make for awkward speech.
LongaVita it's crazy how Holland's Dutch is spoken totally differently than Flemish Dutch (from a French-speaker perspective)
budooooooo Yeah, the difference is imo pretty similar to the difference between British English and American English. Personally, I feel Flemish Dutch resembles British English; it is characterized by very polite phrasing compared to the dutch I personally speak. (Of course, BE has tons of shitty accents that sound worse than AE, and I imagine the same could go for FD; I just don't have enough experience with my southernly neighbors to tell!)
I always thought of Dutch sounding like a posh English person speaking German.
I speak both english and german as native tongues, and believe me if I say, this language always fucks my brain up. Everytime I hear dutch people speak I try to understand the german parts, but I also try to understand the english ones, and then I get all confused and wibbley-wobbley, and my brain just turns off. :D

Beagles are used for animal experimentation is labs across the world... so glad to see that at KLM they are used to return lost stuff to passengers!
