The band is so good. You should be aware that just because they are such good musicians, the concerts are just great. They always have to play perfectly at the pace, they never get lost. I think it's great that such good musicians are also open to concerts like this. Without them there wouldn't be these great concerts with Hatsune, that's all I wanted to say.

Not to take anything away from them or the compliments you gave them, but if they weren’t able to do those things, they wouldn’t even be playing at such a high-profile event. The fact that they’re playing for Miku means that they are some of the best in their craft.
@@XxNbslayrxX That's not entirely true, there are factors that only come into play when you want to perform with Voceloud.
I cover songs myself and plan to play guitar with Miku at conventions (without guitar accompaniment).
Normally no band Ultra Perfect plays the song at the same tempo from start to finish, if you run a metronome you realize it doesn't match the percet at the end.
But that doesn't matter because the musicians correct that and nobody cares if the break is a bit too short when everyone starts at the same time, but that's different with the Voceloid.
the musicians have to play perfectly, that's the impressive thing and not everyone can do that. I hope I've conveyed what I mean to some extent

This is the song that got me into upbeat but depressing songs, and I honestly don't regret it. I can listen to these without a care, while having in the back of my mind a sense that I can also relate to the song even though I don't understand it. It just makes me feel happy.
Honestly I think that it's not exactly upbeat but it's not so... 'down' either. It's got an element of hope to it, and it's not all just depressing and pessimistic. So it's... inspiring almost?

Songs like this, are why music was invented. A song to touch the hearts of everyone around you and to say the things that would normally be impossible to articulate in normal conversation. Songs like this are forever and will be remembered by those that hear it, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, it's the lyrics that speak to you on some level, and they will always be with you regardless of how young or old you are.
Her tone and her eyes make it seem like she is on the verge of tears, which really touches my heart. It's like when you tell a friend your suicidal thought and they kinda agree with you, but also just want you to live so badly, because they love you so badly and just don't want to let you go.

I got so surprised whenever Miku sung this. Cause I would of never expected her to sing this live. But, I enjoyed it very much! I'm so happy that she sung it since it's one of my fav Vocaloid songs. Whenever she started singing it, I started singing along. This song is one of the reasons why I'm still here. Without the producers and stuff Miku wouldn't have gotten this far. I'd have had a hard time keeping my composure in that crowd. Literally would've had tears rolling down my face ngl.
I had never heard this song until the concert. Listening to the original, I realized this performance and arrangement is one of the best embodiments of "why I love Miku concerts and Vocaloid" that I've ever seen.
The way new life is breathed into the arrangement, everything from additional string parts, to the Amazing grooves, the beautiful piano, driving bass and phenomenal guitar choices is an actual testament to how beautiful these concerts are for music. The fact that So much of this version had never been recorded and was arranged for the sole purpose of this band to play it at this concert, yet it's so incredibly beautiful is nothing short of amazing. It could easily pass as an original version to the song
The arranger of MM2020 and the band has made 2020 my new (tied) favorite Magical Mirai, which I personally never thought would happen since 2013

Of the different versions of Hated by Life Itself that I’ve heard, this felt the most emotional to me. I think it was not just Miku’s vocals remaining soft and comforting throughout the song to emphasize emotion, but also how the band builds up the song, getting louder over time, making the song slowly get more energetic and hopeful, while getting quieter to emphasize some parts.
This is song is honestly our generations anthem at this point
Was watching a live broadcast of MM2020 when this song came on. Had never heard it before, thought it was absolutely beautiful.
Never looked at it the same way after looking up the lyrics, though. It's still a work of art, but one that's grim and haunting, and only has a speck of light way in the distance. Every time I listen, I cry for myself and all the others who love the word 'goodbye' just a little too much.
I'm glad I never said that final goodbye.

I always find it kinda funny when people just shake their head when I recommend them to try to listen to some of these when they search for something different and they judge them just by the visuals.
The carry up into the “just live!” ALWAYS gets me right in the throat. It’s SUCH a good song; the lyrics/ tuning of this live performance really make it probably my favorite live song performed so far. It is unbelievable how much I love this. 😂❤

I come back to this a lot. I love the original version. But when I was getting through lockdown in 2020 I decided to watch Magical Mirai for that year and this one absolutely broke me. The message is so powerful and Miku's delivery of these wonderful lyrics absolutely pierces the soul. I come back when I need a little reminder of why I'm doing what I am.

It's songs like these why I call Miku my "happy place" Everytime life gets extremely tough there is a vocaloid song to express it and a vocaloid songs to help me regain strength. I know she isn't real, but the feeling she expresses are from real people and her singing their songs somehow makes us connected in a way we both want to keep on living.
U can just tell that she looks sad while preforming this song. A true artist.

In one of the most difficult moments that I am going through in my life, sitting in my chair listening to randomenten music, this song appeared, among all the songs that there are, among all those that miku has, this one appeared, so every time I sit down downcast I listen to it and it gives me strength to move on, strength to all those who are going through a bad time. It is difficult to move forward but you have to do it for yourself or for the people you love.
The tuning here is immaculate. It's not driving and painful until the end but it builds up to it until you just feel goosebumps from head to toe. Very well performed!

I haven't seen her concerts before, so it was cool to see this clip adter having wondered about them for years. The live band was really unexpected and I'm impressed by their performances. It's also a nice arrangement of the song, but I'd never realized that the Magical Mirai songs were like covers of the original songs in this way! It gives a very strange feeling, like this is a pop artist's cover of one of my favorite songs. And while it's not a bad cover, it feels very watered down and commercialized and emotionally flat. The extreme warbling inhumanity of the tuning of her voice in the original is one of its strongest musical elements and I was disappointed not to get to see it performed out when that seems like such a compelling and unique possibility. That artificial voice also managed to hit a lot of really amazing emotional highs that show a vocal synth's potential to match a human singer's emotive potential while displaying something unique to a vocal synth and really enriching music as a whole. This Miku, tuned to sound more like an ordinary human performer, feels amateurish by comparison, an imitation chasing both styles and failing to capture the power of either. I'm also devastated that this choice has annihilated the androgyny of the original vocals- the masculine sounding Miku of the original is fascinating and this was the first song where I'd ever seen the gender bending potential of a vocal synth so fully realized. I know Miku drag is far too much to expect of a commercial concert like this, but just imagining the possibilities for a subversive performance are making me wish for a world where I could see it. The fluidity and strangeness and extraordinary futurist range that could show! That's a Miku who truly embodies the "first sound of the future" her name alludes to. It's sad to see comments from people who only know the song this way or believe that this is a particularly good display of singing. I hope that they are able to hear and appreciate Kanzaki Iori's original work and that there can be good music in their futures.

I’ve said it before but I will say it again, this song is really beautiful, but the fact that Hatsune Miku just sang a song about depression and interpreted it in a deeper perspective just struck me to the core. Kanzaki Iori lyrics has just simply emulated what would a person with this kind of disorder needed to hear the most. The band, arrangement, and the tuning, the music itself is seamless. I think I‘ll have more of their music.
