    Tie it if your going to make a fancy showpiece, as whole. don't tie it just boil , it's keeps it's shape, to preserve, then either chop up for stir fry and/or also slice into fillet and fry with various foods. Cheers.

    No need to tie it up & no need to soak it, unless you want tasteless ham.

    No need to tie up as the collar holding it in is there for that

    It's cheap because of all the water that's pumped into it. It's fine for week to week meals, but If you're entertaining guests, get it from the butcher. It's well worth it.

    Potentially a great gammon tutorial - but it is far too long. No need to spend so much time on the tying if the joint. All your infi=ormation could have been given in a third of the time. Thank you any way because I learny how to cook my gamon. I've written this comment while waiting for the cideo moves on. I offer this as constructive comment - NOT critricism
