Well done! That was a great fish. The river and the vegetation looks just like where I fish for chum salmon but I’min Hokkaido……incidentally what does “gerrrrrranke” mean? I might use it next time I catch a salmon!
I thin you mean "kerranki". It means "for once". I spotted the fish when arrived at pool and FOR ONCE I got everything right. Fish accept my fly after couple of casts.😅

nice fish man - congrats!! Just a Tipp for better unhooking I would recommend a different pliers-type like for example those ones from simms!

Use a long nosed pliers to unhook the fish it’s a far sturdier implement.
