PG averaged 28 on average efficiency when they were consistently doubling him in 2019, they had no consistent floor spacers to pass to. and when russ gets the ball in his hands in the playoffs it’s a turn over half the time. he had nothing to work with. Both tatum and Brown won a championship this year and made the finals in 2022. both of those years they averaged worse stats on either similar or worse efficiency. and you want to say PG couldn’t lead a team in his prime?? he has led 3 teams to the conference finals in his career. 2013, 2014, and 2021. he didn’t shit the bed, he’s just literally never had a GM fully prioritize building around him. every star has their low lights, yall just love to harp on his. how about you do some homework before talking, because you obviously don’t know ball lmao

As a Spurs fun, I would like to see Lauri playing with Wemby, Vessel and PC3, but looking to the future, I would wait the next season draft to do big moves... The next year's draft could change the future of any franchising.
THere is too much unknown for the upcoming year as for the draft or the free agency. There are tooooo many prospect we could get this next year. Cooper Flagg and so many others :) so, for me Spurs has allready made the moves to get in the good spot for the 2025 draft/free agency, by having lots of picks and lots of free room financialy to do whatever they want. So we can do a move now since we already have so many assets and see next year, it could be a good asset for a trade in the offseason next year or two.
As a Warriors fan, I would love to see Lauri on GSW. But purely from a basketball fan pov, Lauri on Spurs is pretty exciting. Imagine having Point God with Wemby and Markkanen.

Bluffing Ainge? The Jazz have no reason to trade Lauri if they don’t want to. The Jazz have all the leverage in this trade and if you’ve taken a look at their roster, will have no problems tanking even with Lauri on the team if that’s the plan. The Dubs are the desperate team in this situation especially after losing Klay and missing out on other great players.
Lauri was supposed to be the next porzingus and in Chicago and Cleveland he never was sought as an offensive option. I wouldn't say they're padding his stats, they started utilizing the skills he had instead of trying to make him play a specific way.
It's amazing what a change in scenery can do.

I don't think the Spurs are in the conversation anymore after landing Harrison Barnes. I feel like that was them picking the direction of using their cap to get more assets rather than trading assets for Lauri Markkanen.

I think we are keeping our picks for the moment. Next years draft is stacked, not to mention there will be better free agents next year as well. However, spurs just let go of a few bench players (mamu, cedi osman, and a couple others) so the roster needs some filling in. I wouldnt mind a package of zach collins plus a couple picks for Lauri, but I'm fine either way.

Lauri is too good for the Jazz to get a high pick. He’ll carry games from time to time.
If I was the Jazz I’d take advantage of Lauri’s current trade value, collect a bunch of 1st round draft picks and rebuild. Not only can Lauri opt to not resign resulting in the Jazz losing significant leverage, his numbers can also take a dip next season and then his trade value won’t be worth what it currently is.

Danny Ainge is messing with the entire league. He is not trading Markkanenen. They guy is perfect for Utah. He is white, loves snow, and the culture. He is the perfect Utah Jazz player. Apparently the Jazz wanted Moody kuminga AND Brandin Podziemski and multiple picks for Lauri Markkanen trade to work Danny ainge is not messing around. Podz, Kuminga and Moody could be a deadly trio on the jazz starting all 3. Plus Markkanen missed all last season because the jazz wanted to tank and that means this scenario is strongly possible that markkanen could be traded to the warriors i am not saying its 100 percent sure but its a high possibilty that the jazz wants to move on from markkanen

Spurs still lack the other pieces necessary to succeed in the playoffs and Wemby is still pretty young. They will take their time developing Wemby's body while waiting for the Western Conference competition to subside (Denver is depleted, Minnesota might part ways with Gobert and KAT) which at that point, only OKC is the only team that would possibly rival them

I mean look, I can only bring you what I'm hearing and discuss whether or not it makes sense. In the case of Paul George, that trade made a ton of sense and it almost happened. But for some reason the Clippers were so petty that they didn't mind losing PG for nothing. I make these videos assuming that each organization will make the most competent move for themselves, and in that particular case the Clippers preferred to lose PG for nothing as opposed to getting assets from the Warriors.

I'm not talking money or ability to do the trade, but why would the Clips trade PG to a Pacific Division rival for picks and trash and not get Kuminga in return (even though I think Kuminga is being absolutely over-valued here). THAT makes no sense.
Both the Clips and Warriors think they can still keep this going, so for the Clips to trade away PG to a rival and HOPE the middling picks you get back from GS are somehow going to turn magical in the next few years while Kawhi is still on the team....it's not going to happen.
That being said, the Clips are going to Clip. They were stupid in not offering PG a max deal when they really had no other options, and/or doing a sign and trade to Philly or another Eastern Conference team.
