Miffy is actually called Nijntje. The first book came out in 1955. It's made by the Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna, who unfortunately died in 2017. Still remember his sweet rosie cheeks and funny looking mustache. So nice that his work still lives on so much. ♥️
I'm from BE and grew up with Nijntje. My daughter also and was so reminiscent to read them for her. 😊
I have been SO excited waiting for this video and I am so impressed and satisfied!! I love watching artists show their hauls for their trips because as much as I love makeup and snacks I much prefer seeing books/stationery/cute everyday things!! I did the same thing you did for Miffy but with Moomins! I was not expecting them to be a thing because they're Finnish, but there's a whole store in Ginza! My bf loves Moomins so he got everything I could find!

Those are opera glasses. They used to be attached to the back of seats in big London theatres. You could rent them to see what's happening on stage.

Oh how I wish I could speak Japanese purely so I could read that "colour ideas" books. It looks fantastic! I never seen a book like that in England. Just even the way it was set out with the girl and her outfit on every page and then shows a completely different way though exact same colours can be used in such a beautiful style of artwork! Kind of wish I could get it anyway and use Google Lens Translate, and even if that doesn't work I can still "read" the illustrations as they are so so beautiful! Sometimes you just fall in love with someone's art and it doesn't matter if you can't read what goes with it!
Also a couple of times you mentioned about not liking the cover of the book, but you like the book itself. So, in England (I don't know about any other countries), we have a saying that goes "Never judge a book by its cover." It's pretty self explanatory, but it's applied to more than just books. For example you might think that the person who's been to prison, violent, angry, scary etc is the big, burly motorcycle guy covered in tattoos with long hair and beard, but its actually the businessman who's got his hair slicked back, a posh suit, well-spoken, f'd clean shaven. She we were judging the man by the way he looked which is the same as judging the inside of a book by its outside - the cover. Just a fun little saying that I thought you might find appropriate anyway! This is only my second video of yours and I'm enjoying them immensely! Love your style!

only 1/4th through the video but for the cup accessory figures!! they generally fit on laptops as well, so you can prop them on top of an open laptop while you work- super cute, and sometimes useful for blocking the webcam haha

This year japan trip my most splurged item was books too 🤣 I'm a graphic designer so majority of them are about colour but omg the books you got are already on my next book splurge list when I go back! Could you please tell me what particular shops you visited for these books? Lovely haul 🥺🥺
omg colour books?? I tried finding but couldnt find any good ones! We mostly went to Tsutaya and thrift stores because of time constraints :-)

Baffled by the miffy fanbase of japan, cosidering its dutch and we dont even have the full on themed breads and cafes!
I used to want toys like that has a kid, i just find it all so babish and gimicky, sorry i don,t want to be nasty , i just think spend your money on bettter quality items to keep and maybe pass on, maybe buy a lovely fountain pen , when you add up all you spend i bet you could afford something more classy, just my take, love your channel
It's okay to want classy things for sure! But the happiness you get from getting whatever you want (no matter how gimicky it is) is worth it to me :-) I have gotten things because of their quality, but that doesn't mean thats always the best use of money! A fountain pen would be useless to me even if it's fancy - I'd rather get my dopamine from a useless sanrio figurine HAHA
