I'm a former Sports Car Club of America volunteer flagging/communications/safety response worker. We worked more than club races, since we were trained in firefighting and some tiny bits of EMT stuff. I have a friend from Holland, met him at the international 10hr race here in Atlanta. He fell in love with one of our girls, and immigrated over here. They live in Oklahoma. They've befriended a few storm chasers (we're all fellow 'adrenaline junkies'), I've had a few beers with everyone when I go up there (Hallett Motor Circuit, slightly west of Tulsa). They tell us their old storm stories, and we tell them our old stories about almost being run over. 😆
What I've heard those folks say is that there's not really that much "Hollywood" in the film. During the 1969 tornado that took Jo's dad, he mentions an F5. I was told that the Fujita Scale wasn't created until a few years later. They say that the scene under that bridge on the first tornado isn't very accurate, a human doesn't have enough strength to hang on to a post. "They should have laid flat, that ditch was pretty deep!" Last tornado at the film's climax, y'all seem to have caught that one. Was told that tying to the pipes from the irrigation well pump would keep them from flying away, but "..they would have been shredded by debris in one that big."
I did ask one of them once about the scene where Bill & Jo drive through the house. "I've never driven through a house, but I've driven through a garage. Cool that nothing was parked in it." 🤣

@@Wae2Reel , definitely. "You remember when part of that grain silo fell in the middle of the road?" They'd also say, "You car people are crazy. You care about yours. We all drive POS because we consider them disposable." And yeah, some of their cars have those dents from hail damage.
Its impressive how this movie was in the span of two days although I could be wrong. 50 minutes of the movie was in a day as Melissa broke up with Billy at night and came to meet his crew in the morning

P.S you should go stormchasing after all you're only a few states away.
How does the tour work? And you know we don’t even want to go to the woods so chasing tornadoes is absolutely a no! 😂
@Wae2Reel the company is called Tempest Tours. We meet at oklahoma city,there are professional guides,drivers and meteorologists plus the accommodation is included in the tour.Each morning you meet for a weather briefing and go from there.

I like Jo but it was annoying how she refused to sign the papers. The more she delayed things between them, the more awkward it was for them and she was kind of embarrassing herself
