    You explained a seemingly difficult task of converting research questions into hypotheses in an easy-to-understand manner, “Simply answer your research question with your best guess and available literature.” Thank you.

    I am a student of political science.
    I am working on the topic" A critical analysis of Savarkar's political thought from 1907 to 1925" .
    My research questions are:
    1. What was Savarkar's political thought before 1923 i.e. before the publication of his work Hindutva?
    2. How did his thought evolve after 1923?
    3. What are the reasons that account for this evolution?
    My hypothesis:
    Savarkar's political thought went through a drastic evolution from 1907 to 1923 because of the changes that were taking place in India in the political, social and and cultural sphere.

    Hi Dr. Alana, this short video is beneficial, I do have three research questions if you could help me to get a hypothesis out of them I would appreciate it, and I'm wondering how many hypotheses should i have at least in the dissertation. here are the questions:
    Is Saudi Arabia perceived as a safe destination for international non-Muslim tourists?
    To what extent does social media affect on tourist destination's reputation?
    To what extent does social media affect tourists' decision-making?

    In a hypothesis you are suggesting the answer to your research question. Is it okay to state research questions then suggest the hypothesis to these questions?

    • @SciGradCoach
      @SciGradCoach  2 года назад

      Yes, you can state your question and then state your hypothesis. I would be able to better answer this if I knew the context you were writing this in.

    Hello Dr. Alana, I am a teacher, but I am currently taking a master's program, and I am clueless on this topic of the research questions and hypothesis. I have done this proposal for my research course, but I would like to receive some feedback on it
    RQ: How to use the color vowel chart as a tool to enhance the pronunciation of English as a Second Language of sixth-grade students at República de Costa Rica School?
    Hypothesis:
    The use of the color vowel chart as a didactic tool will enhance the pronunciation of sixth-grade students of English as a Second Language at República de Costa Rica School.
    Variables:
    Independent: The use of the color vowel chart as a didactic tool
    Dependent: enhance the pronunciation of sixth-grade students of English as a Second Language at República de Costa Rica School.
    Null Hypothesis
    The use of the color vowel chart as a didactic tool will have no effect to enhance the pronunciation of sixth-grade students of English as a Second Language at República de Costa Rica School.
    Thanks in advance

      This overall looks good, but given your research question, it sounds like you will be testing it as different types of tools instead of just a didactic tool.
      I would suggest instead asking how will the use of the color vowel chart as a didactic tool improce childrens pronunciation. (In your research question, you do not need to have the specific sample population (i.e. the school your are testing kids from). Then I would test the pronunciation in multiple ways. For example pronunciating an a is different then an e. You might find that this tool only helps with certain vowels or certain combinations of consonants on vowals.
      One tip is to make sure your research question or hypothesis can never be answered by a yes or no question. It should have more dimensions to help you arrive at valid, interesting conclusions.
      Hope this helps!

      Your question is very hypothetical and not specific enough. However, it is a great start.
      You could potentially study this question for forever because there are so many potential effects.
      I hope this helps!

    Madam,
    I applied your approach to a research question. I did literature search to obtain a possible answer to this research question.
    Is this answer a research hypothesis ?
    can I break up this answer into a small set of research hypotheses ?

    Hi, Dr. Alana Rister thanks for the explanation. Can you please help with my research question & hypothesis, I want to know whether I am going in the right direction or not?
    My research questions are:
    i. What are the methods used for constructing managed entry agreements for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPS) in the Netherlands and in Italy?
    o What are the existing Managed Entry Agreements for ATMPs in the Netherlands, Italy, and in Bulgaria for the past six years i.e., from 2014 to 2020?
    ii. What are the experiences and challenges perceived by both Market Authorization Holders (MHA) and payers while implementing managed entry agreements for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPS) in the Netherlands and in Italy?
    iii. What are the managed entry agreements, and methods of reimbursement for ATMPs in middle-income countries like Bulgaria?
    o How can these experiences and learnings be adapted for future managed agreements in EU - middle-income countries like Bulgaria?
    The hypothesis is: “the methods, experiences, and learnings of managed entry agreements for ATMPs from high-income countries like the Netherlands and Italy can be adapted for future managed entry agreements in EU middle-income countries like Bulgaria under certain conditions”.

    Hi Dr.! I was looking to get help forming a hypothesis to this question: How has the malaria vaccine impacted the world and in ways did it change society?

    • @SciGradCoach
      @SciGradCoach  2 года назад +2

      Hi! I think your difficulty is coming from the broadness of your question. There are a hundreds of ways to answer this question. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/vyUNjF6drNI/видео.html
      It is all about creating great research questions. You need to have clearer independent and dependent variables and a clear metric. Once you clarify your question, I think you will have a clear hypothesis based on the literature as an answer to your question.
      Hope this helps!

      Hi! I would suggest watching this video to strengthen your question: ruclips.net/video/vyUNjF6drNI/видео.html
      I think your question right now is too broad. Then once you have a question that meets all 6 components, convert your question into a statement with what you think the answer to your question would be based off of previous research!
      I hope this helps!

    How do we frame an hypothesis which includes standard deviations as it's tool ?? Please answer 🤍

    • @SciGradCoach
      @SciGradCoach  Год назад

      I am not exactly sure what you mean by your question. as standard deviation is typically used as a measure of variance. If you hypothesis is that the standard deviation will be different instead of the average, you can phrase your hypothesis as X will decrease the variance in Y in Z population.
