I want this but the lack of organization in the backpack sucks. The speakers I'm worried about. I might need to do some modding. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for the video. Was 100% going to get it but now I’m hesitant because of the lack of storage. Did you ever do a video with the organizer? If not how did the organizer end up working out for you?
The organizer helped. It’s not a perfect fix. But it does add more necessary storage to it. I just wish the backpack had more storage from the get-go. Only fault with it. I am using it more now, though. I’ll see if I can do an update video with the organizer soon.
Okay but how likely is it that the disc will fall off? Since that one little lock piece does not look like it'll hold for long, so I'm wondering if there's a better way to keep it locked on.
I’ve worn the backpack a lot and it still hasn’t fallen off. Give I’ve been somewhat careful with it. I mean. You can’t take it hiking on a mountain. But I’ve used it a few times traveling and it’s stayed on just fine.
So your disc doesnt light up on the bottom side either? Ive been checking reviews and it seems like only one side lights up. Legit thought mine was broken after buying it from Magic Kingdom
I’m pretty sure it does not have a laptop ours are the sleeves but you can fit all the stuff maybe school supplies or even your tablet case electronics like an iPad mini or something it would fit in there
I cannot make a schematic from them. It has what we in the industry call “glop top” IC. They cannot be disassembled without being destroyed. The actual circuit is really simple tho. The little chip you put in simply activates a line of code in the IC. Technically all the modes already exist on the IC, but you need more Disney plastic to access them. To all who are interested: try diy lightsaber electronics. I have to abandon this project because I don’t have enough money to finish it, and a $300 identity disk is not a great deal. I doubt anyone would be willing to pay me $200 + a disk to make one, despite its brilliant lighting and actual movie rip sound effects.
@@CrazyEnglishman you can cheat it to keep it on by connecting to your phone via bluetooth and it does keep it on. But with it being battery powered and not rechargeable you do have to think about battery replacement. I got rechargeable batteries to circumvent that issue.
Man, I'm looking at a few of these on ebay and REALLY considering it

You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Can you let me know what you have available please

Did the organizer fit? Can you link it if so? Thanks!!

No, from what I can tell, only the top lights up. But I will check again and relay.

That was my only disappointment in the backpack. There’s no pockets or individual areas. It’s all just one giant pocket.
In Disney and debating it for my son. Backpack is weak. Is that an Epcot hat? Did you get it here?
Do you find that with the backpack on you can reach your back to remove or re-attach the disc?
It requires some bending of the arms that is not normal. 🤣 It’s possible. But not comfortable.
Have you figured out how to change the batteries? I don’t see any instructions in mine on how to do it.
Hey just got mine, you unscrew the two screws on the back and it’s internal
Hi! What you think of the speaker when it is paired to use music? Is it worth it?
It’s ok quality wise. It’s not the best but not the worst.
I’ve got an extra set of internal electronics for the disk. Does anyone want them?
What are the electronics from? Another Tron Disc?
release the schematics!

When turned on do the lights stay active?
When the light disc is turned on it does stay on. You have to move it for it to flash. It eventually goes into a sleep mode after a certain time.
@@Thrillgeek Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

Debating this for my son. Backpack it weak. Is that hat your wearing from Epcot? Did you get it on site?
The hat is from EPCOT’s 40th anniversary merchandise line.
