This is what happens when you don’t properly educate students or make entering higher education a debt free process like in my country. Where I’m from all tuition fees are paid for by the government, that includes if we choose to study abroad - they will pay tuition fees for that as well. You don’t pay it back. If you don’t take out a student loan for other reasons you could get through all of university and graduate without any debt related to your studies. I know what it did for my country, kids from all backgrounds work hard so they can go to university because it’s an option for everyone and a way for our society to advance. When you give children a good education and they know that one day they could be whatever they want no matter how rich or poor they are and they will work and work to get ahead. They’ll put in the effort at school because they know it can pay off in a massive way. There were only a handful of students not going on to university in my graduating class.
