    Wonderful hike in and camp Dave! Eskdale has everything except the crowds! Years ago I took a similar route and camped not far from Sampsons stones in the Great Moss area. This brought back a lot of happy memories. Thank you.👍👍

      I’ve got a Gossamer Gear 42L which I took on this one. It weighs about 750 grammes but not as comfy as my others. That’s the penalty you pay.

      It was a leisurely 3 hours mate, it’s a steady one, such a good place to visit.
