I've brought a stack of pallets home from work to do just this for my 3yr old daughter. I don't have half the tools or obvious talent and expertise you have - this is a great piece of work! You've given me a lot to live up to here haha, but I'm gonna give it a go.
A really nice pallet wood project. It makes a great change from the usual coffee tables that everyone else (me included!) seems to make. A very big thumbs up.
Thanks mate, yes coffee tables are fun and you can go mad making them and all their different variations. Ive been thinking about making some bookcases but the problem with pallets is lack of depth so lots of clamping up and waiting around for glue to dry.
Bongo, I have built a few bookcases but always the height of the pallet wood. I found after my first one that the secret is to find some nice wide boards for the ends as three wide boards makes a nice deep bookcase. I lined the back with cheap t & g cladding from diy superstore and stained it with vandyke crystals dissolved in water then sealed and waxed. Looks really good but as you say the glue up of the sides is crucial so I used some biscuits to give it a bit more strength. The rest of the build you could do standing on your head and blindfolded (now there's an idea for an exciting RUclips video). Take care and look after yourself.
Great protect build, I'm gonna have a go at one of them. I love that green finish, in fact I love it so much I've gone and got myself a tin of exact same colour and am putting on all my outdoor wood builds. Bird tables look great in that green too. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the colour scheme idea too. :)
Id like to take credit for that but its down to my good missus, shes got great taste in colours and design. Ill pass on your compliments to her, shell like that. Thanks!
Cuprinol seagrass I think. I got some and use it on most things particularly bird tables and they always sell well. I just used it on a mud kitchen inspired by the one in this video and it does look epic. Well I think it does.
This is great! My first pallet project is going to be a mud kitchen as requested by the 'boss' and I was looking for ideas/inspiration and this has bucket loads of both. If I can manage a fraction of your quality I'll be happy. Very tempted to get a sander but just bought a scorpion saw and workbench so going to be hard to get budget sign-off..
Excellent build dude!! Very easy to follow video too. I'm about to make a few for my grandkids and I will definitely be using your design as it's simple but precise, but also quite lightweight compared to the many other vids I see using whole pallets. Subscribed ;)
Another great vid!fantastic for the kids - as well demonstrated by you and Butters!Surprised to see you using a pry bar. What happened to the pallet breaker Bongo?
Seriously how could anybody give this video a thumbs down? Miserable wankers!! Brilliant video. Looking for inspiration. My 3 year old would love something like this. Thanks for sharing
#thepoultrypeople Bongo, 3 uploads in one day? Fuckin A mate...good goin! Tagged you hoping for a response. I've been following you for a long ass time and had a couple questions for ya. I was wondering the type of resin you use for wood fill and the powder for glow in the dark. I'm working on a table right now and wish I had a way to show you pix of it. I'll try your Facebook. I'm gonna build a fractor too, but have to buy a extra microwave first....I'm not sacrificing the one in my shop just yet...lol. Cheers
Yes, the videos here have been backing up of late. Youve got two options on the resin, polyester and epoxy, i use polyester mostly. If you search my videos i did a video on each resin and including mixtures. However its a bit out of date and i should do an update on the resin and mixtures. Im on fb as thepoultrypeople, just ask around friends and family, by the end of the week youll have two :)
Outstanding. Just what I was looking for. Was this made from a set if plans or just made up as u went along? Looking to do something similar and this is best one I've seen as a project
I just made it up as i went along, like you i spent some time looking at ideas. I think the hardest part was deciding on how high to make the 'work' top. If you need some figures ill try and get something drawn up.
At 4.03 for god sake take that loose plastic wing nut off. I was doing the same as you and it fell out hit the cutter and then hit me in the eye. Dunno how I still got two eyes!! Other that keep up the good work, great vids

Easiest one I've found one line. Love it!. Did you change the position of the supports for the top. Also, what is the overall length of Kitchen

Hey Bongo
I'd love to see you make a Viking Beer mug out of a log. With lightening flashes. It would be mega..

@@thepoultrypeople hi, great job, how many pallets did you use out of interest

I can see the mud pies now.
Know there's money titebond 3 ,Bongo you know how to live!
treated myself to some waterproof glue for the outdoor projects :)
Sorry, I meant what was the overall height. Thanks
It's a little to fast. I get the concept but.... I'm learning this isn't a tutorial. It's a slow time lapse
I can take that onboard, ill work on more paced information lead videos this year as well.
that's cool as fu--k
Bit extravagant for a cat, but who am I to judge?
Did you see his moon crib? This cat is spoilt rotten ruclips.net/video/1F01PwX7F-g/видео.html
