Join me as I take you through the streets of the beautiful city of #Bucharest , #Romania on a tour of it's #Communist past. Our journey begins at the Romanian Orthodox Church, a symbol of Democracy in Romania. We will visit the heaviest building in the World, The Palace of Parliament, which was built by Romania's former communist dictator. We'll also see the contrast between the communist apartment buildings built for the political elite, and the common folk. Our journey will end at the former headquarters of the Romanian Communist Party and a memorial to all those who died during the Romanian Revolution. I loved Bucharest so much and I hope you do as well. The people are AMAZING!!!

I plan to be in Romania in early September. I am looking forward to seeing Bucharest and several other areas. Thanks for your tour. I remember the revolution and the fall of the dictator. Power ruins people. Good riddance and best wishes to the Romanian people.

My parents and I, we visited Bucharest during the late 70s, I was 7. I can make out the big Parliament House, we had pictures. (We lost most of those pictures when my country was invaded in 91, operation Iraqi Freedom.)
