DCS How to Play Every Aircraft Module & Map for Free
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- The aircraft in DCS world can be expensive, so it would be nice if we could get them and play them, online and without any restriction for free...
This video will show you, and Eagle Dynamics (makers of DCS) appears to think so too, and for some time have offered every module for free for a couple of weeks, and are so confident we will like them, it's open to every module and map available in the game. What's more, after 6 months, we can get them all for free all over again. We can do them all at once, or keep a never ending chain of free trials on the go - which is what I recommend until you've found all the ones you like best.
***TAKE NOTE: THIS WILL NOT WORK ON THE STEAM VERSION!*** i wasted 5 minutes, hopefully you won’t!
Bruh i just downloaded it for steam aint no way its fucking 143 gb wasted
@@jura09876yep
He says that bro, maybe you should learn to listen
I guess itl be worth it after 10+ hours💀💀💀
Don't know why people use Steam in the first place.. Running a program to run another program.. wasting resources for nothing.
It's funny your channel popped into my feed today for the first time, and I've been binge watching it all day/night. Thanks for the content, you make it interesting, and cover subjects that other DCS RUclipsrs are not which is a nice change.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I have long had an interest in flying since I was a little boy back in the days you could visit the cockpit (and sit in for landing if you asked nice) and ever since then I was hooked. I joined the air cadets and got my scholarship as well as advanced glider training, which included a 5 hour solo over Portmoak (Scotland). Some of the best days, and while this certainly doesn't equate to a fighter pilot career or anything close, it still taught me many valuable skills that I feel able to share online among people as yourself, willing to listen. Thanks again!
Have DCS installed in my machine for ages. But just play it occasionally with the trainer warbird with my PS3 controller just for fun, since don't have an joystick yet (will 3d print one as soon I learn the basics with the 3d printer).
But in all this year's in this vital industry I never heard of trial for modules!!!
Thank you for creating this content and the RUclips algorithm for showing me this!
i think buying one would be worth it if your actually seris
Do not play with a stupid game controller, those are designed for versatility and will never give you the real feeling. I don't know and haven't heard about 3d Printed joysticks, since the plastic mold is the least of your concerns. The sensors, calibration, return to center and fidelity is what you should care about, and that's electronics, manufacturing and design.
If you still need a stick the thrust master PS4 flight stick is a great cheap entry, you have just enough buttons to map some essential functions, especially with the modifier keys
You just recommend a flight stick no need to have a overkill set up with Pedals and thrusters
@@chancepayne3013absolutely not. Thrustmaster is the absolute worst company you can buy products from and the Tflight HOTAS series are the crappiest HOTAS you can get. They are cheap for a reason.
Very good advice! I've have seen many people spend the money and walk away really disappointed because these modules are complex and realistic. They might have no experience, or played other flight sims that were actual "Games" with rudimentary simulated weapons. They walked away because they were no fun. Actually, there is a "Game Mode" for those people who will gradually get bored and actually try out the more complex modules and find it is interesting and challenging, and as you put it- they are hooked into DCS.
They have entry level mods from the FC3 mod and yeah they have very detailed and realistic modeling in the more advanced modules and the free version has two easy mods. If you can't fly those around and online and figure out the more advanced mods are HARD TO LEARN (you think its easy to be a fighter pilot)
Then they are in the wrong place anyway. To be a Real DCS fan you have to have a passion for those amazing machines (aka aircraft) and their sophistication and DCS delivers that in spades.
You don't really need to fully learn them to start enjoying them right away though. And you don't even need that "game mode" or whatever for that. All the intricacies are there only if you want more.
But if you can't do even as much as getting a hang of realistic flight models, well... I'm afraid this is not your genre.
@@getsideways7257 Good point!
@@rwhunt99 I usually start with playing around with the flight model and a very limited set of functions, like dogfighting the bandits with fox-2s and guns, then after having had enough of that I move on to more advanced stuff like operating the TGP. So, yes, this should work for most other people who are into proper sims, but who also want to proceed in a relaxed manner.
Thanks for letting me know.. I was about to watch the video.. but then I saw ur comment
Good advice. Now I know that, If I want a plane forever, a license won't do. But at the same time, If I want to test a vehicle, then I can use the license. Thank you!
I really thought the video would have gone like: "ok, First step, you're going to want to go to a random store's parking lot at night, make sure that this parking lot is close to at least one spot that is hard to see by anyone walking past past, like an alley, or a cluster of greenery, Second step, you're going to want to find a random small man, or women, ideally alone, now wait until they get close to your designated hard to see spot(use a distraction if needed, like a one dollar note on a string) and then, pull out your weapon of choice that you prepared earlier, make sure that if you are using a firearm, it is on silent mode, now point your weapon at this person and say:"give me all of your money and valuables" they will hopefully give it to you without resisting. Third step, pickup the money/valuables and walk away backwards, alternatively, if they don't have any money on them, take them to a secluded ATM posing as there significant other, and order them to take money out of there bank account, once they have done so, be sure to say thank you before leaving, aaaand, there we go, with a quick stop to the bank in the morning, you can now purchase every module in DCS FOR FREE!"
FC3 now has been graced by a clickable cockpit mod by an enthusiast - and this transforms them utterly.
this is by far the best looking fighter jet sim i need to get into something like this
It's also big on the realism and systems depth (hence it doesn't feature the latest classified tech). I can highly recommend you trial the aircraft you like the most, or if it doesn't matter, go for something as simple, or as complicated as you fancy. The most advanced F16, F18, A10C are generally the easiest to fly, but the most difficult to learn and master all the various weapons systems. The simpler WW2 aircraft, generally just have a safety switch and a trigger, are the exact opposite. Easiest simplest systems, but are more challenging to fly. I'm not sure how much into flying you might already be, but stuff like engine torque, overheating, fuel consumption, stalls, over G blackouts, and various other things are simulated. It can make the introduction a bit daunting, but all the more rewarding at the end. There's plenty of practice servers online too, so you can pick your plane (or Heli) of choice, and take it step by step. Don't expect to win every battle in cinematic style on your first try, I'm sure you don't need telling that, but you'd be surprised at how often people really do think this, and then get disappointed and never come back.
I feel like you should be able to pick a fc3 plane of you liking when you first get dcs
Been there, done that. No point in it unless you're a returning simmer. With the time it takes to learn the basics and so on, you're better off learning the Su-25 and then trying the trials. Stay away from them otherwise or you'll be overwhelmed. They should indeed throw the entire Flaming Cliffs along with the rest of the Free Version...but then they're afraid people wouldn't buy at all.
Awesome sound advise and Aeorbatics. Appriciated I'd combined the Steam and Oroiginal versions for a long time, then a steam update came along and broke my VR Hand controls. so its frustrating in that way. but I managed to roll back mone in Steam. I might try the original version and trial some of the detailed models as you suggested. Loving have Voice attack carry out lots of command key presses also in VR. Really need a HOTAS. I only use a Force Feedback and VR Quest three controls.
Thanks mate for that timely advice. I do have the Steam version of DCS installed but each time I look at it and find it too daunting and back out again and onto MSFS or XP12. I will definitely heed your advice and just check one module at the time and fly it to death, or maybe a jet and a chopper, because I know from experience that it take some time to get a handle on it, particularly when you keep getting faster and faster aircraft. Thanks again for a valuable hint.
Cool. I've been playing Falcon4 remastered and got me to consider DCS. This is a perfect way to chum the addicts.
I am kind of frustrated right now because i followed all steps shown in the video yet when i activate the trials and launch my game they do not show up what am i doing wrong
did you download it from steam if so thats your issue to do this you need to download it from their website
I have a question i did it and it said you can use it for 14 days but when i go to game it’s not in there
Hi, since its like a "trial", I have some questions:
- Does it run out after a period of time?
- Do I need to cancel it before it runs out?
- Will I be charged money if I don't cancel it in time?
Awesome this made me happy never new this was a thing as a play on steam and i ran a cross this while trying to find how to install mods to DCS I am glad that I found your video
DOes anyone know why the P51 has that "wing whistle"? its caused by the gun port. the P51 has a laminar flow wing, giving less drag and performing better at high speeds.
5:42 what to do if the icon wont show up?
So ive been using the licenses recently and for some reason, out of nowhere, the Module Manager stopped showing up. If anyone is having or knows anything about this issue please help.
The square box is not showing up for me
I've been playing for 3 years, I haven't seen a proper campaign in this game.
Heard this for years, multi player is where's at.
do these work for the version that is currently going?
U are a lifesaver, thank you so much
After the time expire you pay the aircraft?
Can i try every module for 14 days and just keep changing the modules until i test they all?
🤔i really want to thanksful but if i have a good understanding..u mean that after the free period u can keep on flying on this aircraft u would have to pay for ???...secundly= tons of valued and talentued people made our dream Comes true ✨..i have to thanksful those dev's and those guys by keep on giving them my money.. They deserve to be paid and keep on doing this outstanding work
Thank you for such an amazing video!!!
Cant you just go into the file of the aircraft and copy all of them before trial expires, then you can put the aircraft file back in?
Can’t even download from there site open beta keep getting errors
i did not get the thing in the corner
No ah64 on free fly yet, it was released yesterday...hind was available for free right off the bat..
There is a test period… then you must buy
I activated the trial but I don’t get the pop up in the top left. I just got DCS. Do I need to wait a certain amount of time?
There is any difference between Steam version and non one? Bcs i often see scratches effect on canopy glass while others flying but i don't have that effect in my Steam version
These "scratches" are probably down to the graphics settings within the DCS main menu. The standalone (web) version of DCS is pure and can be updated more quickly and ED obviously have full control over it, via steam as far as I know you get the same, but without ED having the same control over prices, offers / points and freebies. I'm sure there might be a few other bits I haven't thought of, but essential the "latest beta" is "latest beta" and match up
@@DCSDigitalCombatSimulator i love the steam version, modules go on half price sale every so often
Thank you very very much sir I really appreciate that advice I have to get stuff cleared off my PC so I can download it I have the DCS on my PC but I have to make memory on my internal hard drive and put it on my extra hard drive clear memory out so then I can install the DCS module and I really really want to Thunderbirds module and the Blue Angels module and the Christian eagle module that's the three I want the most and the people just went comes with it and that's my favorite warbird so that'll be perfect anyway I appreciate your thoughts about how to do this Thank you so very much for having any questions I'll come back and leave a comment for you and ask you questions okay I appreciate your help so much I give you a thumbs up and I also click notifications bell turned it on and I appreciate your help so much You're a great guy and I can't wait to try this DCS It looks so awesome My Brother in-law is also going to love it I'm sure too
the thing doesnt pop up for me
after the trial periods over, do you still keep the vehicle, or is it locked?
could you not just make a new account after the time for testing is up?
How do you get the tile? It doesn't show for me?
thanks great video mate
Great video! I made all the mistakes you mentioned!
but where do i have to get dcs from to do this? i have it on steam
Why do the game in some clips looks very nice and in some other like war thunder?
so i have to uninstall steam version and download the one from the website?
Yes
My replay does not work , after playing i run the replay after saving it and the plane does nothing like i flew and end up crashing ,every replay every single time . Please Help
It’s been a while since I’ve replayed a track however, I remember if you input anything to the flight controls you automatically take over the flight. Next time you replay a track, don’t touch anything but the view keys and see what happens. Hopefully that help you some.
sometimes replays play back "perfectly" and sometimes (especially carriers and low flying and helmet displays) the replays get buggy and "desynced" with what really happened. Its a known issue is all I can say, repeating what ED say on forums
i have problem that i dont have that module manager on bar :( please help me
same
do u have the steam version?
@@szyszusznian5241 its ok now i just instaled the normal version from they website and working
Can someone help me. When I try to do this it did not show
How to add plane to module manager ? I cant do that and download ;/
i dont see the squares please help
what happens though if you dont unistall or buy the module after?
You get a two day grace period. Then it's locked.
Really helpful video!
but these planes are forever?
FYI playing cracked games is not a crime, if you want free DCS just get it from torrents, but theres no multiplayer and no updates.
Title should have read as how to effectively use Trial period and spend money wisely
damn Eagly Danymics is good!
How do I link the website to steam
Does it work if u bought DCS on steam?
DCS itself is free, but I'm assuming you mean does the web version work with aircraft you have already bought in Steam? The answer is yes, you need to create an account (free) on the website and then link up your steam account within there so eagle dynamics (the makers of DCS) can verify which modules you bought
Getting dcs on steam and I think I’m only going to buy the mug 29 and another plane and just that
Then you'll be missing the F-18 which should be your first "realistic" model. But the flaming cliff's pack should get you used to the game overall.
Does it work on steam or doesnt?
how can you get this on steam
Will this still work for steam
Dont they expire tho? I dont get it
Yes it's 14 days, every 6 months (unless it's been changed) meaning you get the full module, with any weapons or systems specific to that module, as though you had paid without any limitation, for the duration. After 6 months you can repeat the process, so someone could in theory play every module for free, all the time, by juggling the trials around so they always had 1-2 on the go at any given moment.
Hopefully they'll find they like one enough to buy, but it's possible!
Skip to the point 4 minutes.
on steam????????
Can you try the Apache helicopter for free
omg thx
Just download a cracked version of the game and have everything already activated lol....
Дякую
bro not another pay to win game bruh
arrrrg ahoy newbies! you can always get your shit pirated!
"without any restriction"...other than the modules are free to trial for 2 weeks, then no access for 6 months, but yes I am a big fan of DCS and some of the guys I fly with regularly have forgotten ED still run this free 2-week testing which is about long enough to get all your controls mapped and give all the weapons a workout before you decide to buy.
Without any restrictions for two weeks, no play on words, it's the truth.
@@rwhunt99 It was a play on words. This guy made it sound like you could play everything "for free" without mentioning the 2-week system until later in the vid. clickbate garbage
? what did you expect? is a trial not good enough for you? other games do it worse, and if you dont like his title, hes atleast giving out the information
om didnt notice that this was really clickbaity, sorry but atleast theyre giving out the info
change ur account
Stop trying to clickbait people. It's a free trial system, you can unlock any module for 2 weeks but then can't use it again for another 6 months. It's not what you make it out to be... and what's with your username? Trying to impersonate the official page are we?
How i can unlock 2 weeks?
How can I unlock all aircrafts?
I really like DCS, ED can frustrate me sometimes though(still no dynamic campaign or Vulcan API) but they are making an amazing game that really needs more than a free su25 and tf51! Why don't they add the A10a or F15! Both very well-known planes and low quality modules. ED wouldn't stand much to lose in offering them but could bring in new players and keep them playing.
They got to make money some how. Buy those two with Flaming Cliff Module or you can buy them stand alone for 7.99 each when they are on sale.
"ED wouldn't stand much to lose in offering them but could bring in new players and keep them playing."
How much do they need to lose to make you happy?
DCS is the best military flight Sim out there, bar none, it is a hobby of passion and if they don't have the passion to spend 7.99 on this excellent flight sim then those players aren't going to be around long anyways. I for one don't need a bunch of kids hanging around online servers because they got a free plane thingy :)
Get yourself the A-4 mod - it's one of the best things available for DCS, official modules included.
i think the SU27 would be a better option
This game is free - FS 2020 is 100USD+ and you can't even shoot ;). I agree the planes and terrains are too expensive but to have the game evolve they need to make money. IMO they should just have a few planes and terrains for much cheaper or some combo offers, like "everything for 200USD" or "F16 for 30USD" (and I bought the F16 for more, but I think many pass on this game before of the price) and FC3 should be 5USD IMO. FC3 (ie LOMAC) is from 2003 (yes its been updated but its basically still the same)
@@kangsterizer I've spent an embarrassingly large amount of money on MSFS 2020 aircraft lmao, but I think it was worth every penny. The planes are so much cheaper on MSFS and you get live weather and live air traffic (not to mention the ENTIRE WORLD, not just one state like in DCS). We also have amazing mods like FSRealistic and Logitech flight panel/VR support that makes the game even more immersive. Don't get me wrong, I love DCS, but MSFS2020 is an amazing game. At the end of the day, it's up to whatever someone feels like playing. Sometimes I want to chill and have a scenic cruise, other times I want to dogfight at high speeds.
My major gripe with DCS is the pricing of their products. The $80 modules, the $60 maps, $60 for an aircraft carrier, and $20 for each campaign is absolutely ridiculous and price gouging at it's worst. That's $220 if I want to have the "full" experience of DCS. On the other hand I got MSFS2020 for $15 due to it being on PC game pass and I have over 140+ planes to choose from.
You get two maps the Mariana Islands & Caucasus’s for free that you can still build epic missions & massive battles. You still have access to everything as AI. You can just wait for a sale & you can get the modules for 50% off. The free trial is a fantastic edition to the sim. There are some brilliant free mods out there such as the A4 Skyhawk a C-130J & a recently released Blackhawk helicopter.
Cool video. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Ik. Dcs has sales like every other day lmao
@@lewisw9905

Thank you for showing us how to activate the free trial system and try out the DCS modules to see what they are all about before we commit to purchasing them.
I'm glad it's helpful to you
I am getting a rtx 3060ti with 16 gb 4th gen ram.as well as a ryzen 3700x with a 512 ssd.will that be enough to run this game on high setting on single player and should it run better with the vulkan api that is coming?

Unsubscribing, I've no time for sensationalised titles that mislead. The proper title should be ED provides free trials.
I respect your point of view, here's mine.... Comments from people very thankful who were unaware that there even was such a thing as DCS trials would never searched for the word "trial". However many people search for stuff like "how to play DCS for free" and "is DCS free" and "how to get planes free" and so the title has attracted a portion of those players who didn't know. At risk of upsetting 1 or 2 vs the benefit it gives everyone else, i'll take it, and am sorry to see you go, and I appreciate your honesty.
@@DCSDigitalCombatSimulator ok, I have to admit I didn't think of that. I agree that your videos are great (why I subscribed), this was a shock but I see it for what it is now. thanks for being polite and giving your perspective.
Everything is conected and when I started a trial, in my DCS ( on steam) I don't see Module menager :L
thank you so much, i never knew this, luckily i didnt spend any money on dcs
you are awsome I was about to buy the f18 because I saw people use it often, and I watched top gun. but now I will try other aircraft first and then try the f18 before I buy it, Thank you!
very pleased... just remember my tip towards the end, these modules can take quite a lot of time to learn how to use, so some people can quickly get frustrated with that aspect, and think "this is rubbish, let me at another module instead..." and burn through the modules because it's easier to start another free module up than to learn the first one... Not at all suggesting you fall into that category, more a message for everyone - do try and learn at least some of the things in 1 module before activating modules 2,3.... 15,16 =)
@@DCSDigitalCombatSimulator oh yes, I have kept it in mind. I got the trial f14 and i have learned most of it. I can take off and land, navigate and fire missles. I dont know how to fight yet. but yes I am planning to fully learn the f14 before i even try the trial f18.
thanks again!!!!! 😊😊
That last piece of advice I think is the most important and by far so true!when I downloaded my first jet and a week later after it being my first time of actually giving in to how complex the game is and how much it has to offer I heard an alarm go off...."holy shit" I had my first missle lock tone and when that baby let go of my wing and whistled off into the distance ploughing it's way thru all the flares and slamming into another aircraft left an image of satisfaction self accomplishment on a level never before reached!for that moment those few seconds I was Maverick and I was so happy I'd taken the time and effort to absorb all that the game intends for its players to experiance
Thanks for this I didn't know it was possible .. subbed!
For you is exactly why I made this video and I'm pleased it found ya
NOTE : This not work in 2024 the 50% sale for first module was removed from the store
very good advice!!! and especially your last advice...
Thanks for the video. I'm a n00b and I got the FC3 for my first buy @50% off so I got it for $25 buck's. The free trial to flay a few before I got FC3.
DCS seems like a huge install (160 GB)... yet, it can only run online, correct?
And if you're a total beginner, flying without any weapons, can another player online flying an F-18 obliterate you? Does the game just reset for the player that died?
BTW, I'm only interested in the AH-64D module.. just want to play in the cockpit firing rockets. Do you need to learn how to fly in order to do that?
ik this is late but DCS runs both offline and online, You can download and play custom made community missions through their website which you can play on to train. Also you do need to learn the AH-64D in order to fly it. Just be aware DCS is probably the most advanced and realistic sim out there. The aircraft are modeled almost 1:1 in scale of the real life aircraft so it will take a bit of effort to learn the weapon systems and startup procedures ect... If you're really wanting a game that simulates almost everything in aircraft then DCS is probably the best bet.
And I thought DCSW not giving me the opportunity to fire weapons because I failed the tutorials.
hello do you have any advice for the steam people to do this? what I'm trying to ask is when we download the non steam version will we have our modules there if we could maybe link accounts or something because that would be great since I've already spent way too much money on steam to quit the steam version of the game
You are able to link modules you bought on steam to standalone. It’s what I’ve been doing since I switched over. It isn’t automatic though but is a fairly simple process. There are videos on how to. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/xAs4cgGd4F8/видео.html

There is a no way am gonna pay that much for a plane like I would rather play vtool VR, also so I bassicly just install the module than when the trail is done I uninstall it and install it again?
Yep you can do that. Take the trial and then it will simply stop working after its over, until 6 months later you can reactivate it... Be prepared though each one of these is incredibly detailed systems wise (especially the top tier pricing) so expect to find it a lot harder to "get it to do anything" Vs games like VTOL sim
thats just a trial though not all of them for free
Does it still work?
can i try more than one time?
