Actually Twilight Equilibrium fits super well with Disc Oracle, i remember making a ticket few weeks back asking PotW to be changed as a Shadow spell because we lost the double charge on Mind Blast. Glad Blizzard is listening ! Although i am a bit doubtful about the result of Rapture, because it as useful for Voidweaver that it is for Oracle but hey overall it is still a good "smooth out" of Oracle we had too many conflict between playing as a damaging Disc or spot healing like a traditional healer.
@@JustDiscipline It is nice, but it goes against the entire idea of Disc Oracle which was to prevent incoming damage. Similar yes, but not the same. Putting big shields on everyone was basically doubling the effective health of the group, and here we are going into the reactive gameplay. It is not bad by any means, it is in some aspects a better "oh sh*t button" than Rapture (if i was using it as a panic button) and Ultimate Penitence (+Piety) ! Overall it is an improvement and reduce our time spending on Rapture's GCDs which created this weird dps profile having Crystalline Reflection top dps. The rest of the changes are straight up buffing Disc Oracle which is a big Win. PS : The shields were getting so strong (15M sometimes) that i even asked Blizzard a spell to break them and spread the absorption onto the group because they were wasted.
Your build was exactly what I theorycrafted for Voidweaver, no notes. Definitely fun to see the reactions to the changes from a VW point of view when I've been in Oracle for a month or so now. To me these all scream huge Oracle buffs. I'm excited :) I do believe Rapture was removed to open up design space for PW:S - from Oracle, having Insight able to give us multiple shields, and Rapture giving us multiple shields, there wasn't much room to grow skill expression with absorbs tbh. It was very by the numbers for some encounters for sure.
@@vanguelisk I think Luminous Barrier might be a far reach, but one can dream... I have to assume Aegis is coming back in with where they placed their changes in the post. Who knows tho!
Honestly I was using the new Rapture as a tank / ST spell. It was so nice to have some spaced out ST big shields especially in Ara Kara without poison dispel, Dawnbreaker, and like hard tank packs in SV and CoT. I don't feel like much of this is replacing that niche since we were already great at partywide big hits... But appreciate your positivity anyway ❤
I really hope there is a lingering effect on the 4set, i know it has its applications, but it feels counterintuitive because of shielding existing to prevent damage, not to increase healing after the damage went through
Think about it again, in most cases you would shield before incoming damage- while you are still healing. So the brief moment you have the absorb you're topping yourself up better.
I do think that Overloaded With Light is a bait too. UP itself is so powerful that we don't need extra healing. This talent shines in raids since it applies atonement on 10 allies, making it a really fast and powerful ramp. About Malicious Intent, I hear the Smite argument but one thing you didn't mention is that by losing Purge The Wicked, it seems we also are losing its extended duration (20s instead of 16s) which hurts our DoT management. Plus the fact that we are encouraged to Defensive Penance more often, I feel like Painful Punishment is gonna look more attractive. Finally, it's nice if Luminous Barrier becomes a competitive alternative to PW: Barrier. I think at higher keys the DR from PW: Barrier will still be OP, but if the party is more often spread than grouped, it's losing a lot of its value, making Luminous Barrier a good alternative. Maybe it's gonna depend on the dungeon.
I think the dot spread will be all the same as long as you're practiced with your Penance; and yes penance is best on hostile, we have the option to situationally turn it into an absorb spell which is nice. Hard to say about the Barrier... just posing an idea to involve absorbs with our Tier Set
I was upset at first, but If we really will be able to use penance to shield the whole team, and even luminous barrier, then losing rapture is not that bad.
Hard to say where things will land, and I was just posing some ideas I saw with the L.B... I see the same value in play but just coming from different spells and less globals. I know a lot of people tend to get mad about these things, which causes others to get up in arms like the yawning paradox. Hard to imagine how everything will feel, but when you give it some thought, it doesn't seem any less than it is now.
I don't think you've thought it through. Weal and Woe is always our spot heal, plus shields were buffed. Evang is quite similar to Rapture just in less GCDs-- and also spot healing. 4200% split amongst your Atonements. Imagine having only 1 person Attoned.
@@nonsdownsyou have to think of the full picture. They aren’t “nerfing” the spec, they are reworking its structure. Strength coming from other areas now

Isn't a large instant cast from Evang similar?

We will have to see how things land on patch day!
@@JustDiscipline good thing we can test builds in ptr first which will hopefully open as soon as 2025 comes ;)

how to spot heal , no train of thoughts = lesser shields , also rapture , like , what is this

@@JustDiscipline true , but no train of thoughts and void summoner nerfs suck imo
