  • From church to crack house. Even born again Spirit filled Christians are susceptible to relapse. I’m not immune. None of us are. One minute I was doing Bible studies and church services and preaching on you tube the next I’m in the dark and scary world of crack houses. In this video I begin opening up about the reason why I relapsed on crack cocaine, the pain I’ve caused while on the relapse, what I’ve learned while living with my parents and the pain I’ve felt by the way they’ve dealt with my person choices. Crack cocaine is a serious drug. It gripped me ten times worse than Crystal Meth.

Hi Emma 👋 part if the recovery is the relapse so don't be so hard on yourself, admitting the relapse is the first step to the recovery. In the past have you ever owned up to the relapse? Most probably no, so admitting it straight away well done on you and there it is what you have learnt from the sessions 'honesty, admitting, telling family and close friends" I'm sure you have never done this until you are way down that rabbit hole and at desperate door asking for help. Step 2. Close your eyes and think back to the beginning of the recovery what did you do? Counselling, a group session, visit the doctors for a subutex script. What ever it was go back to the beginning and start the positivity in your life. Go and do what made you happy, go and do something silly to make yourself laugh. Unfortunately things have spiralled and the perdon that made you feel negative please remove yourself you need to focus on you and you only. You are tougher and stronger than what you think you are. You can do this Emma and I'm looking forward to seeing the next recording and seeing you back on track. Sending love and strength to you Nat x

Hi Nat, I just wanted to thank you for your supportive and encouraging words. I am glad to say that after 6 attempts to get clean, I am finally back in a place of recovery and very much focused on working on myself. I am also finding codependents anonymous very helpful in exploring why I need to please people and why I can't bear to see anyone hurting. I wish I'd found it sooner, but at least I have it now. You are a very kind person. Thanks again x

As ex addict I somewhat agree if you keep looking for excuses and reasons you will never stop . You have to really want it that's why %1 of all addicts actually stop. But try not to judge believe me you never know what can happen to you. Best of wishes to this woman we have no right to judge you.

Hi Billie, Thank you for your words. It took me 6 attempts but God did succeed in pulling me out of the mire. I was pretty stuck in a rut, hopelessly selling all my belongings, every penny we could muster up went on the drug. Thousands were spent. But I am back and clean now, Praise God. He delivered me, I am one month clean :) Now I"m using NA and Coda to work on myself and engaging in mental health services, to keep me out of the deep. Thank you again for your reminders and encouragement. Emma

Addiction doesn't have to be drugs. Anyone can become addicted to anything. Sex, drugs and alcohol are just the destructive ones. Perhaps take a good long look at yourself and see if there is anything in your life that you obsess over. Oh, and the last thing I am is weak minded. I have been going through difficult situations and my resolve weakened. It took me 6 attempts to get clean because crack is a very powerful drug and it took a powerful God to save me. I Pray for your salvation my friend. I pray that God will convict you so that the next time you post on RUclips, you post encouraging, helpful comments that will benefit the person you are sharing with. I pray for your protection against addictions and disease. And I pray for you to have compassion for your fellow humans. In Jesus Name. God Bless.

Thank you for your comments. Fortunately I am one of the 1 percent and have managed to get one month recovery behind me. You are right, people shouldn't judge however I am guilty of judging others too. I think you are wrong though about coming off of drugs, I desperately wanted my life to change, I desperately wanted to stop. Like I said it took 6 attempts because the pull of the pipe was so strong, compelling even. I am glad you are an ex addict and enjoying (hopefully) recovery. I pray you will find the LORD so that the sufferings in this life will be worth it for the hope of a pain free eternity, as a gift of repentance. God Bless.
