- For a challenge I decided to clear the whole Louisville of zombies and create the first undead free area in Project Zomboid!

It would be real nice to have the zombies have bone or deteriation damage after slamming against stuff. Imagine seeing a zombie walking toward you with a bent ankle. Yikes dude. Seeing better animations maybe even a better ai for a harder mode with special type zombies mode. I love this game so much. I hope they continue to improve the game.

@@rosaparks6479 they meant L4D style “special zombies”. Damage to zombie legs (and arms) could be incorporated reasonably, like zeds that jump from balconies become crawlers, or zombies banging their heads on walls, windows, doors could be slightly damaged and possibly die from self inflicted wounds.
Idk if this is exactly what you meant but I'd like to see dismemberment to the same extent as your ankle example imagine having a machete but iffy melee skills so by the time you actually kill the zombie it's all stumbling towards you missing an arm and most of its torso the game already does this pretty well w the model damage but actual dismemberment would add onto that feeling pretty well and being able to cut off a limb that has a bite that would fit vanilla zomboid so well given that cutting off your arm or leg may stop infection the costs of that heavily effect the benefit
I also turned off respawns in my game and it feels soooo good when after a month and a half of playing there's barely any zombies walking around in Riverside.
Then of course if I grab my car and drive even just a couple hundred metres in any direction I'm met with massive hordes, but still

I wish respawning was done better, I don't like zombies respawning inside already clear buildings but I also get bored if there are no zombies to worry about
@@flamingkittyumad i think respawn off is the way to go, they should just make zombie roam more. Or they should create massive hordes which are roaming all over the map.
@@hoodyhoo66 Yeah, I always thought if they had the zombies migrate from the edges of the map or something it would make more sense. Like you I'm not a fan of zombies magically spawning in already cleared areas
@@P3ga73 i think after a while the game would get too easy, but i dont like zombies spawning as well so i just changed the zombie respawn timer on seen areas to about 10 days, it would make sense if you didnt check on an area for 10 days it might get infested.
Started watching today, it this has been a great series to help give me the courage to try Project Zomboid again without turning off the infection.

What a tremendous start. Gets a big backpack, a car w/ key and 3 quarter tank of gas, immediately finds a sledgie. I’m a pro at dying quickly after obtaining such luck.
That's crazy! Saw you put it on rare loot then you get all kinds of nice blunt weapons right away, a large backpack, a car almost full of gas, and a sledgehammer. XD "So mad I haven't found a screwdriver yet" he says. Lol! So spoiled. XD A great first day for this playthrough, for real. Well played!

Short-sightedness doesn’t effect your ability to see things up close.

edit: i have been informed that this is not true. Short sighted only affects foraging radius.
@@wolfcub0545 oh that's good to know then, I would have assumed that that was true since I've had a couple of instances where my character misses, but I've always attributed that to me being shit and the funky controls

Will be watching this mission with interest! Loot wasn't too bad considering the settings either, a promising start all around.
It seems that with extremely rare loot there's still so many places in Louisville it feels like playing with normal loot. I think they need new extremely extremely rare loot settings for the city :D
@@KokoplaysMB Hope you make your base in The Motel Area, looks like a cool area to build. Will probably have plenty of furniture for you to use to fortify yourself as well, lol.

People might think this comment obnoxious, but I kinda like the idea ngl
I had a similar idea to this playthrough. I haven't played the game much. The idea was to get the most populated city, start dead center, then you have a timer to get out as zombies are everywhere and they are spawning rapidly. The spawning stops 1-4 weeks in. However long it takes an average player to move from center city to a less populated area. The amount of zombies center city at this point makes it look like mardi gras. Then the zombies spread out after the party's over. They spread everywhere. There's so many that they make less populated areas difficult. The only way out is to destroy all zombies as the town was to be nuked and you agreed to stay behind to clean it up yourself. Completing your mission is the only way out. As an added challenge. Well unsure how to get the zombies to spread out like that, but even more so, have them gravitate towards the player. Like the episode of southpark, giving change to the homeless to have them multiply the next day. As time goes on, they are faster to mobilize and chase the player as an impassible horde.
in louisville ive learned via spawning in there at the very start AVOID the streets stay im tall buildings if you find yourself in and office or apartment consider yourself blessed because you rae relatively hidden and far from the infested streets. and if you spawn here ALWYS PICK stout or strong youre gonna need that strength. oh and if you find youreself here... good luck!

Just attempted to JOIN you on this "glorious adventure" in Louisville but I legit only survived 4 in game hrs, lol. Had it on the 6 Mo Later preset and default is Insane Zombie Pop... Never played with Insane pop before and HOLY SHIT they are EVERYWHERE! Legit nowhere to run...

I always wanted to do something like this. However I kinda want to be a mod purist(aka no mods) about it. that means not spawning in Lewisville, (whichs makes it a bit harder, because you need a car unless you want to run all the way)

There's a 28days later mod now that starts you in Louisville hospital in the hospital gown.
Just went through the big hospital in MP today, the area around is covered in thousands upon thousands zombies. Such a great place.

Man I don’t even know how I’d deal with Louisville I picked a fight with half of muldrahl or however you spell it lol just by firing a revolver a few times on insane pop, even just walking down a backroads gets me an entire parade I can barely survive that as it is, let alone the endless hordes in Louisville I’m not sure even my pc could survive.

I bought this game last month and all's I do is drive around in vehicles and run them over. Thinning out the herd, I hate getting out of my car. lol Question; how come you don't sneak up on any Zed's? Make it easier on you.

since no one's replied, i'll answer for anyone curious. you can disassemble them for electrical exp and parts, they're lightweight so its not hazardous to take all the ones you find.

you should turn on the aim outline (set it to anyweapon) so you know if the hit will connect or not :)
I actually don't like it on for melee weapons. Ranged is good though.
@@KokoplaysMB i just think the combat is buggy enough, if they give me a vanilla tool to see if my hit is going to whiff, i would rather use it, plus you can tell when its dark if you are about to get chomped!

It's the best zombie survival game out there and it's based in 1993 Kentucky. Louisville just got added to the game recently and it's great.
im still new in this game but why do you take multiple watches ? do you disassemble them for parts?
I disassemble them for electrical XP. Need to get to level 1 electrical (and 2 mechanic) to be able to hotwire cars.
Yes, and it's important you read the electricity book before doing so. The time before you find the book is a good chance to collect watches and other electronics to disassemble after reading. I once had so many watches before finding the book I got to level 2!

Yes, but it's not the easiest thing.
Large backpack, working car, and a sledgehammer in two days on extreme rare loot. With that luck you might as well start openings of loot boxes in Valve's games and earn some money.
It was pretty much my luckiest start ever.
