@@unknownself-kenshi they also travel in pretty large packs. Most of the other hound variants are tolerable due to smaller pack sizes, but the jackels are the worst. Not sure if I hate them or thrashers more
@@marltonmanks9891 Thrashers suck for the triple harpoon, but you're right about the large pack sizes for the jackles being the biggest dread. Only good thing is getting them to focus on a tank (like iron spider), then hitting hard with other players AOE while they're distracted.
@@unknownself-kenshi absolutely. They go down pretty easily under those circumstances. Just gotta be careful with low level recruits. They can get ganked pretty quickly and those damn dogs are insanely fast

Rust jackels are such a pain in the ass. I'd gladly take beak things over those damn things. Even at higher levels.
Yeah, they really made this much harder than it otherwise would've been. Glass cannons hitting hard and fast, vs. slow wind up beakies.

@@marltonmanks9891 Got ambushed by the swamp variant a couple of times... now I keep an eye out for any jackles wherever I'm at in Kenshi.
Why do kenshi players hate themselves?
It's enjoying a good challenge, similar to Dark Souls games or some roguelikes. So it's not about self hate.
I do not want peace, i want problems always
