@@jackychang9148 Hey Jacky. I don't have a pedal so I did a McGuyver job. I plugged in an Xbox One controller and mapped a button as the "exit cover button". I then put my controller on the floor and use my foot to push the button and hey presto, a poor man's pedal!
@@jackychang9148 Yes I have this all set up on a number of setups and made slight adjustments over time. Did have it running on Sinden's but now running with Gun4ir and some old 4Gamers pedals I've connected to the Gun4Ir's
The last version to work with nuvee is rev 158 (i checked it)...the new ones drop the usb plugin support for now, pcsx2 devs are making a new one! will be to see how they will manage light gun games instead of the old nuvee, cant wait! maybe they will find a way to disable the annoying with flash.
I've got a PSX, PS2 and PS3 on a 43"CRT, plus multiple compatible light guns, PS Move and foot pedals. It is a great way to play HOTD and Time Crisis! But just a *bit* bulkier and more expensive than doing it on PC w/ Sinden. It's ironic I got pissed at the Sinden software, but put together this PlayStation monstrosity.
The amount of people who have been saying this since 2003. Just get a secondhand PS2 (prior to PS3 of course) with the original guns and games. You can use peripherals to turn your monitor into a TV screen and various clips to put Namco guns into your PC too but are complex!

Yes, I've been meaning to get to that and I'll try to get something out in the next few days. Duckstation is pretty simple compared to some of the other emulators so that's definitely a positive!
hello, can you please help me out? Bought a sinden and i cant make it work! I use pcsx2 and want to play time crisis 2. Unfortunately the buttons dont work. The aiming is perfect. But i cant shoot or start anything with the gun. Only one button works on the right side of the gun. If i press it i can toggle the border on and off. But nothing else. How do i set up the buttons in pcsx2? I mean i know how to go to lilys pad config, pad 1 etc. But what button has to be asigned to the buttons on the gun? Cross, triangle or r1 r2? Which button has to be asigned to the trigger? Thank you! UPDATE: With duckstation emulator i got it to work! BUT! My crosshair is always offset after a while. First when i set it up in the sinden lightgun software (x and y adjustment) then the crosshair is spot on where i point the gun. After cuple of minutes in the game crosshair is 10 cm beneeth where the gun is pointing. Whats is the problem her?
Hi, i'm trying to get your script to work. The sinden software is loading, then i get a black rectangle pop up, then it disappears. I'm guessing that the PCSX2 software is loading, it's the rom not loading? Any idea on which line of script i'm not setting correctly? curiously the pal version of timecrisis2 works better than the US for me : cinematics are very jerky and have shifted sound in the US version. Direct 3D plugin looks better but I have a white fog if I use it so I keep with opengl. Other than that, I think that it doesn't accomplish a lot to chose a specific game in the list of the gunconport 1tab .
Yeah, it really doesn’t but if you do mess with offsets and adjustments those are saved under that config section in the file. If you use the defaults (which I do, never had to adjust) it really doesn’t matter.
how to pass the Caution Endgame uses autosave at the beginning before title screen comes? i am using sinden but when i shoot nothing happens? Aim not working but all time crisis games does.Any Idea?Thanks
Hmm, do you have the "Calibration Hack" enabled in the Nuvee plugin setup? I haven't seen the blank screen but have certainly had the app un-responsive at the calibration screen when the calibration hack was not enabled. If you can get past the calibration, I suggest you create a save state and launch that since the calibration values will be stored and you'll be able to bypass the screen.
I also confirm to put the ISO in the same hard drive as the emulator. (and maybe also in the emulator directory). day and night for me . Still, the emulation is far from perfect , especially at time crisis 3 ( the helicopterscene is very laggy and slow)
So I got the blank screen issue then I set plugin to direct 3d instead of Open GL. That got it working, but there is a white haze over the image, almost like the color is washed out. Anyone solve this problem?

I have to go back and look at my settings, but I believe for Endgame you need to configure the Nuvee plugin with the lightgun in Port 2 instead of Port 1 like with the other games. Play around with which input is setup as the Guncon as well as the "swap lightguns" checkbox. Here's my nuvee_ps2_usb_main.ini file: PORT1 = 0 PORT2 = 1 HIDMOUSE_API = 0 Debug = 0 Swap lightguns = 1 Snap mouse = 1
Hey i have a real time crisis foot pedal with a encoder in it set to the R key i need to enable it to for to reload on tc2..also i cant get pass calibration screen
So you should be able to map the R keyboard press to the R1 button in the PCSX2 LillyPad plugin (make sure ‘R’ is not already assigned to something else.) To get past the calibration screen make sure you have the “enable mouse calibration hacks” checkbox selected in the Nuvee config.
I have not tried it, but something I definitely should try to test out. I haven’t played the arcade very much lately but I should probably get back into it and test with some of the upgraded emulator versions.
Not knowing your full spec I can’t be 100% sure, but just looking at the capabilities of that graphics card I have no doubt it will be able to run TC2+3 just fine!

I only have one Sinden so I have not messed around with any 2-player stuff just yet. I probably should just connect a mouse to simulate one, but as of yet I have not done any testing for 2-player on any of the emulators.

@@adamchampion3013 hey, so I've just been messing around with split-screen over the last couple days, and it seems to work perfectly on PCSX2 v1.6 (stable version released July 2020). I don't have 2 guns, so I setup Nuvee to use my Sinden LG for player 1 and just a mouse for player 2.

The only issue I'm having is that configuring it now breaks the pedal because Nuvee "locks" itself to the hardware ID of the input device. With 1 player you can tell it to just accept all inputs, but for 2 player it needs to know how to differentiate the inputs to each player. I'm looking into the code for the Nuvee plugin to see if there is a work-around, but it's C++ and I'm at somewhat of a loss with that!
The shader tweaks I’m making just have PCSX2 generate the white border required for the Sinden Lightgun to function. If you’re using something that uses a different tracking technology (Aimtrak, Gun4IR) that border and shader configuration would not be needed. You could also use the border available through the Sinden software instead of the PCSX2 shader.
In my experience they run pretty well on my setup. Definitely some glitches here and there but extremely playable. If the expectations are perfectly smooth, 60-fps gameplay you're correct you're likely to be disappointed, but for a quick pick-up-and-play arcade setup with a few beers which is what I was going for it works perfectly.

To be honest I probably focused more on the AHK setup than the Nuvee stuff so there may be some things I missed. I have not kept up with the developments of connectors for the Sinden with consoles. But if there has been a solution developed that enables Sinden input and border display for PS2 gameplay then absolutely it would work on the console hardware.

Not off the top of my head. Are you using with the Sinden and is your border enabled and registering input normally outside of PCSX2? Also, I have a dedicated instance of PCSX2 install for light gun stuff, not sure if a different LilyPad configuration or other plugin could be fighting with mouse input.

what do you mean by rev 158 please ? I have tested many setup and impossible to run time crisis 2 and 3 smootly. (especially time crisis 3)

you need the EU version of the the game. the US version has the audio issues.

Yeah, the cutscenes seem to run poorly in my experience, but gameplay has been solid from what I’ve seen.

I just have the original (default) settings. FL: Middle Mouse, RL: Space, FR: 1 (Onscreen), 5 (Offscreen), RR: Border On/Off

Now I’m at the Time Crisis 2 calibration screen then loads up when you start the game, it let me calibrate P1 but now it wants P2, how do I bypass P2?
