Get wobbling with the guidance of Fox Rage angler Jason Stokes as he talks you through the rigs tackle and techniques needed to wobble deadbeats or pike.
Trying this method is on my new years list, I assume you can leave the bait static with the bail arm open for 20 minutes or so whilst you make a brew as long as you stay alert to grab the rod and set the hooks, putting a brew on often makes something happen ;), well done for showing a blank session, never wasted though, always learn something from every session. Happy Christmas to all anglers and tight lines for 2019.
Buy a bung type float that's held in place with a peg through the middle. When you fancy a break or have seen a big fish follow you can simply slip the float on and set the depth with the peg to hold it in place. This will give you far better bite indication than simply freelining with an open bail arm which can easily result in deep hooked pike.
Agree with daniel law. Don't let it lay down wen taking a break because it is almost weightless they swallow it way to easy. Always make sure you have some sort of contact with the bait.
Does it really have any advantage a good lure though? A nice glide bait or shallow rigged soft plastic will hang, swoop and pause in the water just the same. The only advantages I can see is, it'll be the most realistic looking lure you'll ever use, but does that really matter to a pike? And there will some blood/oil leakage which may help?

It's personal preference and another option that you can try on different venues that have perhaps seen a lot of lure fishing.
What size is the single hook.
Prefer sprats myself when dead baiting and super cheap from local super markets 😊
This a wind up?
