Good illustration! Many debit cards issued by our bankers are not accessible overseas, this is a major drawback for frequent overseas travellers. Few years we were given debit cards for inland and overseas usage now that these have been withdrawn for reasons known to them.
Besides, we find nil payments to the beneficiary ( swiping in POS) but amount already debited from our account. Repayment or reversal credit takes about 40 days in respect of VISA/Master card. Hope this may be averted in Rupay card!
