  • Yeehaw, join me today friends as I continue with my, "Queen of the Hot Mess Club" status making over 60 freezer meals for my large family. On day two I was able to get started a little earlier and I had more consistent helpers. I had most of the food items prepped from day one minus the various noodles.
My three big helpers finished 50 more PBJs, 50 additional grilled cheese, 100 slices of french toast, and 70 more egg/cheese breakfast burritos.
I assembled 5 Freezer Lasagnas, 4 pans of Baked Ziti, 4 Tuna Noodle Casserole, and 1 Italian Chicken for the Slow Cooker. I also bagged the remaining brown rice, chicken, hamburger, veggies, and beans.

Fellow large family mamma here! My hubby and I also have 8 children ages 2yrs - 17yrs and I so enjoy your vlogs! I started out with your homeschool freebies, and just recently discovered you on RUclips's! I love your frozen meals idea...ive always been a little intimidated by the amount of time it takes, but it's so worth it!!! Just wanted to say hello, congratulations on your newest baby, and praying for your sweet family!!

ABC 123 ignore them Hun, they obviously have a ignorant outlook on life, you and jamerrill have nothing to prove to anyone but yourselves. Coming from a large family myself it really irritates me when people assume that you have government help rather than old fashioned hard work!

So many memories, raised 4 of my own and 3 neighbors were with me allot while parents worked and went to school. I remember those huge meals. Miss it so much and kids all grown Leam reminds me of one of my friends so. She passed a few years ago , so i have no one to sit with and tell all about the kids and our long days. I watch you to just soothe my heart and soul knowing she is with the Lord she was a wonderful Mother, and friend. All our kids are grown. The lord has been good to us, but i cant help but miss all those little ones and reading to them and baking together and also took them all to swimming lessons. Oh thank you for letting us into your home to enjoy and watch your children grow. ❤️

Your daughter making French roast reminds me of my childhood. I learned at a very young age to chop, cook, clean, sew, change diapers, I learned it all being the oldest sister. I am not complaining at all. I loved learning from my mom and working beside her and it amazes me how many people my age now don't know how to cook or sew etc. So good job at teaching your kids all those responsibilities it prepares them for adulthood👍👍👍

After cooking boneless chicken breasts: use your hand mixer or stand mixer with beaters and it will shred the hot chicken for you super fast!
Great tip but never do it with cold chicken it just doesn't work.

Just something that helped me when I was making a ton of pb&js a while back. Use a piping bag (or even piping tips and a baggie) and pipe the peanut butter and jelly onto the bread. It goes so much faster!

  • @Iheart2cook

You're clearly ambitious! I love how when you plans don't go as expected, you just roll with it. When I was pregnant with my littles, I never attempted more than 1 recipe a day. I definitely didn't have help, but I guess you do what you can, right? The cost alone was a huge factor. I had to budget in an extra meal or 2 each week for after the baby was born. It definitely is a blessing if you do some freezer cooking ahead of time so you can spend that extra snuggle time with the new baby. I had friends who brought me meals as well. TFS!!

This feat was amazing to see go down with everyone involved! How many times as Momma's do we shew kids away because we are overwhelmed! I am guilty! 🙁. When just given a few deep breaths and simple instructions I could have had tons of help. All my kids are grown now, I did cause damage to my body feeling like I had to do it all and work a full time job. We are a blended family with issues from the kids past that made it not as easy to delegate help when needed. If I only knew then what I know now! God is graceful! ❤️🤗

I saw a plastic box in the garbage @ 10.31. You could wash that out and use it to restore anything, whether in the freezer or even in the pantry. Even non food things, like stationary or school supplies! They're great to recycle in this way, don't chuck them!

  • @spoodie1

Hi, an easier way to make that cream of chicken soup is to melt the butter and then add the flour and cook it for a bit, then add the milk, it will save you from stirring with the whisk so much. It's the base for almost every cream sauce or gravy.

  • @apfelprincess45
    @apfelprincess45 7 лет назад

Another way to store the sandwiches @ 12.36 is to make them, wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and then restack them in the bag the loaf came in. Then freeze. Then you can take them from the pack as needed. I used to make school sandwiches this way on the weekends and then take a sandwich each night from the pack and they'd thaw out by lunchtime :)

Something that helps bring down the cost and also is healthier is to make at least one vegetarian/vegan meal a week. Could be a bean chili, vegetable stir fry, lentils and rice, vegetable soup (use beans for protein), meat free spaghetti/noodles/lasagna, nachos (meat free), a big salad with oven fries on the side, vegetarian shepherd pie (mushroom gravy and veggies), veggie burgers (I make mine with leftover beans or lentils, sweet potatoes, and quinoa and form and bake them in the oven - I make a huge batch!), and many other options. It’s helped our wallet and tummies. Make a big batch of beans and lentils for the week and get creative! Throw into a soup or casserole or make something totally unique with it! Anyway, hope that helps 😊

I just add a little extra moisture to my lasagna and layer with the uncooked (regular lasagna) noodles. It works perfectly. I don't see why it wouldn't work in the other casseroles too. Being a Mama isn't easy and I'm happy that there is a community of strong mamas on RUclips to encourage, inspire or just make each other laugh.

Have you ever used regular uncooked noodles for the lasagna? A few trays of lasagna for myself and my sister when she had her baby. I tend to add a cup of sauce to the lasagna. We just pop them in the oven and they always turn out great. *confession* I never boiled noodles for lasagna ever. I've always used regular hard noodles 😂

I’ve done this and the noodles turned out great! I’ll never boil noodles again. It’s about as easy as hamburger helper and a lot better tasting!

This Roth Tribe Amen, we can all do it with faith in the Lord, and love and patience for our children. We were all meant to be Mothers at one point in our life. I gave birth to 5 but the Lord called on my second daughter as an infant and raised 4. And I remember people would ask how do you do it? And I always said, The Lord always here with me to lend a hand. With Faith its all possible.

I'm prepping my freezer meal game plan for next month since we're welcoming baby #5 in May. I just had to share that at the top of my list, I wrote "Jamerrill genius tip: Bake quick breads in 13X9 baking dishes! 1/2 and then freeze." I was so worried about how I was going to get enough of them done with just my 2 loaf pans. Saved me a trip to the Dollar Tree.
As for the PBJ sandwiches, my kids have discovered that they enjoy them just as much (if not more) when they're still frozen. The PB freezes, but, most of the time, the jelly doesn't. Some of the flavors of my homemade jam do freeze, but they don't mind either way.

Oh yummy! Thank you so much for showing how you get all this going and done! I don't have as big a family, but do have 3 teenage boys and dad to feed, and boy can my crew EAT! These are fantastic ideas for freezer meals, and I just got my new deep freezer a few weeks ago!! I'm now inspired to get going on those freezer meals too! :)

My husband is gluten free and I use the SOS cream of chicken soup mix and it is so easy and delicious! I found it on Pinterest and is great to have on hand! This is a great job on all of the freezer meals! I really impressed! That is long days in the kitchen. I have those types of days during canning!

Great job mom!! Love your videos. Was wondering why not just mix the peanut butter and jelly together in a bowl to make assembly a little quicker? A little trick I do is use cardboard to separate and stabilize my freezer meals until they are frozen.

You are AMAZING and put me...a mum of 1 to shame! This is so inspirational. You work..have children and pregnant and you can still manage all of This! You should be very proud! Having only 3 in my family I will be taking these recepies and structure but won't need to do as much. I'm going to try my little girl with PB and J sandwiches (we live in the UK) and hopefully she will love them! Such a great idea for snacks or quick lunches! Thank you for your videos...it's extremely motivating! If you can do it...anyone can do It! X

Thank you for sharing! ! Did you know you can buy the no boil lasagna noodles? They work amazingly well and I just use those and double wrap my lasagnas with aluminum foil. Works great! Huge time saver! I have 7 children and I understand needing to do the freezer meals. Such a huge blessing to have those ready. 💗
