- Yeehaw, join me today friends as I continue with my, "Queen of the Hot Mess Club" status making over 60 freezer meals for my large family. On day two I was able to get started a little earlier and I had more consistent helpers. I had most of the food items prepped from day one minus the various noodles.
My three big helpers finished 50 more PBJs, 50 additional grilled cheese, 100 slices of french toast, and 70 more egg/cheese breakfast burritos.
I assembled 5 Freezer Lasagnas, 4 pans of Baked Ziti, 4 Tuna Noodle Casserole, and 1 Italian Chicken for the Slow Cooker. I also bagged the remaining brown rice, chicken, hamburger, veggies, and beans.

Thank us for watching???? I don't think so....thank you for teaching, entertaining, and inspiring us! You totally rock and are such a blessing! Thank you, Jamerill!
The truth is your family works as a unit . This works because of that . You guys are great !
I am a mom of one little boy....and I never wanted a big family....but watching your videos makes me want a HUGE family! The amount of love that flows through your videos is amazing! The food is great!! But watching you be an AMAZING mother to amazing children. Just warms my heart!! 😊🥰💜
Fellow large family mamma here! My hubby and I also have 8 children ages 2yrs - 17yrs and I so enjoy your vlogs! I started out with your homeschool freebies, and just recently discovered you on RUclips's! I love your frozen meals idea...ive always been a little intimidated by the amount of time it takes, but it's so worth it!!! Just wanted to say hello, congratulations on your newest baby, and praying for your sweet family!!
Sorry for the typos...baby in my hand...typing one handed! Haha!!!
ABC 123 8 children ???? The money government giving you ... you don't need to work hard or go to work ..
Comment Expert what makes you think they don't work?
Oh my goodness, that couldn't be further from the truth!! We work very hard here! Wow talk about false assumptions. Smh!!
ABC 123 ignore them Hun, they obviously have a ignorant outlook on life, you and jamerrill have nothing to prove to anyone but yourselves. Coming from a large family myself it really irritates me when people assume that you have government help rather than old fashioned hard work!
I love how your kids are involved in keeping order and taking care of the home ❤️!
Your a great mom , thanks for showing us your strength
Nan Silas not sure I could ever do 90% of what she does
I agree, so calm and serene, like a duck though, you get the feeling she's paddling frantically underneath :) You're a wonder Jem!
Mrs Elephant Exactly, plus home-schooling all of her children! CRAZY BUSY!
apfelprincess45 love that analogy!!!
I don’t have a family of my own, I just look after my elderly mom, so I don’t really need to meal prep, but I love watching your videos, I find them relaxing for some reason, I sometimes watch them while making dinner. Thanks for the videos Jamerrill.
God bless you for taking care of your Mum ! You only get one Mum ! Mine passed in Nov 2018 and I miss her ! We were really really close ! Big part of me left with Mum ! Best part I will see her again ! ❤️😊🙏🏻
So many memories, raised 4 of my own and 3 neighbors were with me allot while parents worked and went to school. I remember those huge meals. Miss it so much and kids all grown Leam reminds me of one of my friends so. She passed a few years ago , so i have no one to sit with and tell all about the kids and our long days. I watch you to just soothe my heart and soul knowing she is with the Lord she was a wonderful Mother, and friend. All our kids are grown. The lord has been good to us, but i cant help but miss all those little ones and reading to them and baking together and also took them all to swimming lessons. Oh thank you for letting us into your home to enjoy and watch your children grow. ❤️
You work so hard and get so much done I feel bad just sitting on by butt watching you. The kids seem to be helping alot. Go Naomi (sp). 🌻💜🌻
I feel like a bum...I wish my mom taught me to be this efficient
mrsevergreentree
just because your mom didn't teach you doesn't mean you can't teach your kids! 😄
This comment made me laugh so hard! I feel you! Butt watching LOL!!!
Diane Crane m
It's a beautiful thing to see all these children with helping hands!
I absolutely love watching these meal preps..I love that it's not edited cause as moms or dad's we know life can be hectic...I love the meals thrown together .all the way down to the PB&J sandwhiches...please keep them coming
Your daughter making French roast reminds me of my childhood. I learned at a very young age to chop, cook, clean, sew, change diapers, I learned it all being the oldest sister. I am not complaining at all. I loved learning from my mom and working beside her and it amazes me how many people my age now don't know how to cook or sew etc. So good job at teaching your kids all those responsibilities it prepares them for adulthood👍👍👍
Trina same here!
After cooking boneless chicken breasts: use your hand mixer or stand mixer with beaters and it will shred the hot chicken for you super fast!
Great tip but never do it with cold chicken it just doesn't work.
My husband is diabetic and will sometimes have sugar lows in the middle of the night so I keep pb&j in the freezer all the time, and he just eats them frozen.
Just something that helped me when I was making a ton of pb&js a while back. Use a piping bag (or even piping tips and a baggie) and pipe the peanut butter and jelly onto the bread. It goes so much faster!
oh, yes that is so brilliant, but do you mix the two in the piping bag? ;)
Newman Family Vlogs i
Do the Pb and J get soggy when be thawed out ??
Did you make a Roux pastry with butter and flour? Then slowly added the broth, ?
Recently started watching this channel I have a large family too and do alot of freezer meals ... especially in the fall and winter Not quite as serious as you But I have a question, why pre make something thst takes 30 seconds to make? i.e. ... pbj's ? From one mom who thinks ahead to another. ......Why? Makes no sense to me
Your children are so lucky to have such a devoted and loving momma. In one of your other videos you said that your children are your #1 priority and I believe it! They will have beautiful memories of you when they become adults!
I have no children but I absolutely love watching your videos! I am a stay at home caregiver taking care of my grandmother and I do like to meal prep a lot. You are the definition of super mom! Thanks for sharing with us!
I really admire your cool! You just flow through things without any evident stress. It's obvious your family works as a team, that's probably the key. I think it's great that your kids are getting such a first hand education in food prep!
You're clearly ambitious! I love how when you plans don't go as expected, you just roll with it. When I was pregnant with my littles, I never attempted more than 1 recipe a day. I definitely didn't have help, but I guess you do what you can, right? The cost alone was a huge factor. I had to budget in an extra meal or 2 each week for after the baby was born. It definitely is a blessing if you do some freezer cooking ahead of time so you can spend that extra snuggle time with the new baby. I had friends who brought me meals as well. TFS!!
Wow... I only have one kid and I feel like I have my hands being a mom and working full time. So kudos to u. You're def blessed
I’m strangely obsessed with these large freezer meal days u do... plz do moreeeee
I like that your boys help with the cooking and are learning basic skills.
The reason it's not all perfect cos real life isn't perfect and that's what we all love about you are real, xxxx💞💞
I love how you involve your children in the cooking process. I did the same thing with my 3 daughters & now they are excellent chefs & bakers. My 2 eldest( 38 & 39) are doing the same with their children. My youngest daughter (28) does have children by choice. Keep doing what you do.
Yay!! Just saw a picture of baby Benjamin on Instagram. Saw this notification and stopped a business email i was writing. That can wait- Jamerill's on!!
The food looks really good! Lots of lovex
i am in awe of you. I am the youngest of nine, now 47 and I always wondered how my mom managed to feed us all but, I realized a few years ago she was a lot like you and got my older brothers and sisters to help out.
Your videos make
my heart so happy.
I lay here wondering if my husband and I will ever get to hear children running and playing in our home 😊
May the Lord continue to bless you and your family. -Jenny
Jenny Jane My husband and I were blessed with two. I would have liked more but I'm happy with our two. I hope you are blessed with children xx
So fulfilling to watch..until I realize that wasn't my freezer full of completed dishes at the end.😞 Goals though.😁
I use the barilla oven ready lasagne sheets. You don't have to cook them first and one pack makes a 13 x 9 lasagne.
Me, too!
I really admire your multi-tasking skills, J! To be able to hold a camera, prep and keep those little peeps calm, is amazing, As a girl from over the pond, I love watching you and your beautiful family working so well, together! Reminds me of the phrase, "Families who play together, stay together" x
I heard about freezing pb&j a few years ago and finally decided to try it....I absolutely love it !!!!!!!!!! I usually make about a dozen and it's made lunch packing so much easier at our house ...totally a mom sanity saver for me ! 😄
do you heat the pb&j before eating?
I dont see how anyone would give any of your videos a thumbs down! I think its so neat how your older children help you cook to make freezer meals for the whole family to eat. God bless you and your family
Also i am cracking up at Naomi checkin out the french toast back there! Lol thats how i still check to see if its done lol 😂😂😂
Holy cow girl!!! You amaze me with all of your energy! You are definitely an inspiration for me to try and get some of these meals done and in the freezer. Have done the breakfasts but not the dinners. Thanks so much for sharing and Would love to see more of your beautiful family!
Hi, when I was in Food Service in school, we mix large quantities in plastic hotel pans, so instead of reaching way down in your tall stock pot, invest a nice hotel pan. Hope this helps. I love your big family and your delicious freezer meals. Great ideas.
"Queen of the hot-mess club" hahaha favorite new quote! I'm gonna have to steal that one:)
I am just so impressed with how MUCH you have accomplished girl!
This feat was amazing to see go down with everyone involved! How many times as Momma's do we shew kids away because we are overwhelmed! I am guilty! 🙁. When just given a few deep breaths and simple instructions I could have had tons of help. All my kids are grown now, I did cause damage to my body feeling like I had to do it all and work a full time job. We are a blended family with issues from the kids past that made it not as easy to delegate help when needed. If I only knew then what I know now! God is graceful! ❤️🤗
I'm sure you were an amazing mom .....I struggle with this too and sometimes I'm soooooo tired you ladies are just awesome
I have seen some of your Videos and I must say - as a single working mom with "only" one child - I am thrilled about all your work and the logistics about shopping and preparring meals!!! I will try the Enchillada receipe, but in a much smaler Version for two ;) - Thanks for the Inspiration! Go on! :)
Jamerrill, I think that your house looks absolutely amazing! You have a very large family and yet you really have a clean house. I think you should be very proud of yourself!!
Brilliant meals, and Daniels a cutie!! I've four kids,David is 27, Joshua is 24, Naomi is 23, and the baby of our family is Luke who's 20 today!! X
You are always so calm with your little ones. ❤️
Your kiddos are the cutest and so helpful. Seems like you’re doing an amazing as a mama. Congrats on your new addition to your family. Loved the video!
Goodness, you are amazing! I am just in awe. I love the way you go about this, with your patience and your children helping. Way to go.
I love watching the background of your videos and seeing how your family runs! It's amazing and so down to earth/real life!
My husband and i are the trying to have our first child. I love watching your channel because im able to size things to our family and the prep helps so very much. You have such a beautiful helpful house full good to see respectful children helping out.
I know you are so thankful your kids are old enough to help out. I love your lists and how you got the assembly line going.
I feed hundreds of people a day. Prep is everything. You are a machine!
You might consider sneaking more veggies into your baked ziti, I don't even notice if I puree a bunch of frozen spinach into my spaghetti sauce.
I just found your channel recently and started binge-watching your videos. I am a homeschool mama, as well, and I love watching all your videos! Thank you for keeping it real! You're a rock star!!!!
I have 4 kids and my 7 and 9 year old help around the house now. 1 is in charge of sorting laundry and cleaning their room (picking up their toy mess) and the other one wipes the dining room table and organizes shoes😊
MY GOSH!!! You never cease to amaze me and inspire me Jamerrill!!!! You are an awesome mama! LOVE that you even have the time and patience to film all of this! thank you so much for sharing and being who you are! You are such a blessing! xoxo Kim
TRUE TRUE!!! AHAH!!!! Never thought of it that way! I guess I need to lighten up when filming...I get nervous when the kids are making too much noise! HAHA!!!
I am thankful that you are not "pinterest" ready, your videos are real and honest like you are, and it's always a joy to watch them! :)
What an amazing mom you have your kids are incredibly lucky! 😇🙏🏻❤️
I have 1 child and sometimes I feel so overwhelmed. Not sure how you do it, but you make it look so easy. I'm inspired by all your planning.
You should make a cookbook.
I like that you don't sugar coat your life. Some days are just a mess lol but we get it done!
Wow! I am so impressed. I really want to get to a point where I make a ton of freezer meals. You have so many great helpers. You have trained them well. Thank you so much for sharing these videos. You are very inspiring!
thank you for explaining that life really isn't spotless. I don't think my married life ever has. again I think you are amazing with all of your little people.
Wonder Woman has nothing on you, keep up the good work Sue from England
You are such a blessing....thank you for sharing.....Godly woman teaching ....is so needed..
I was super confused when I clicked on this, without seeing the video from yesterday...like wait what? I thought she had the baby, haha. Love all these freezer meals! Thanks, want to try that cream of soup, so easy! I had no idea!
Love seeing everyone work together to feed the family
I figured that or maybe the toaster. That would come in very handy with homeschooling and trying to get the day started. Will you be doing a curriculum choice video for this school year? Wondering if you have ever used All About Reading?
This is the inspiration I needed to do some freezer cooking this weekend! Thank you!! Our homeschooling year is kicking back into gear this week and I'm grateful for those meals on busy nights.
And, your new freezer is lovely!
I saw a plastic box in the garbage @ 10.31. You could wash that out and use it to restore anything, whether in the freezer or even in the pantry. Even non food things, like stationary or school supplies! They're great to recycle in this way, don't chuck them!
Hi, an easier way to make that cream of chicken soup is to melt the butter and then add the flour and cook it for a bit, then add the milk, it will save you from stirring with the whisk so much. It's the base for almost every cream sauce or gravy.
Another way to store the sandwiches @ 12.36 is to make them, wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and then restack them in the bag the loaf came in. Then freeze. Then you can take them from the pack as needed. I used to make school sandwiches this way on the weekends and then take a sandwich each night from the pack and they'd thaw out by lunchtime :)
You've just made my night. I've been waiting soooo much for this. You rock!
Jamerrill's Large Family Table are you pregnant again omg....!why so many kids ? You looks like a patient
Comment Expert Yes she is! She's awesome😊
I wanted to jump through my phone and come help ya... Big high five to you for chaos, kids and cooking! Us mamas sure find a way to pull it all together one way or another!
GOD love you for teaching your children how to prepare these meals. A great role model and I am impressed. Great ideas. Love your channel!
Something that helps bring down the cost and also is healthier is to make at least one vegetarian/vegan meal a week. Could be a bean chili, vegetable stir fry, lentils and rice, vegetable soup (use beans for protein), meat free spaghetti/noodles/lasagna, nachos (meat free), a big salad with oven fries on the side, vegetarian shepherd pie (mushroom gravy and veggies), veggie burgers (I make mine with leftover beans or lentils, sweet potatoes, and quinoa and form and bake them in the oven - I make a huge batch!), and many other options. It’s helped our wallet and tummies. Make a big batch of beans and lentils for the week and get creative! Throw into a soup or casserole or make something totally unique with it! Anyway, hope that helps 😊
That blueberry bread looks AMAZING!!!!
These family meal videos are always so impressive!
I'm no Pinterest mom either
I love how real you are and that your kids help
School starts on Monday for my kiddos
Going to give it my all to get one step ahead
Loved the video
Thank you so much
Hugs
You're such an inspiration! A little trick I use to save time might help you also. I never precook my noodles. I just add a little extra moisture to my lasagna and layer with the uncooked (regular lasagna) noodles. It works perfectly. I don't see why it wouldn't work in the other casseroles too. Hope that helps!
Zion has grown up so much and Naomi's hair cut is so cute. Could you show the bike rack sometime. Glad you have a lot of help. You are encouraging me to prep meals. It's just me and my husband now. We are empty nesters. But I have severe arthritis so I have to do things when I feel up to it. I know my husband would appreciate freezer meals. Thanks, Leslye
Wow! I am impressed that you got all of your kids to help cook. You should be very proud of them. Great job!
Everything looks delicious. ☺
you are beyond AWESOME! I'm a nurse that works overnights and it is absolutely necessary to cook ahead
Your so inspiring it's amazing how organized and on track even when you think your behind its still in order and the whole family seems to really work together truly shows that it is more than possible to have as many kids as you want and still be a great mom you are absolutely fantastic and beautiful just incase you haven't heard it today which u should hear it every hr! 😚😚
Real life is the best because we all know we company in our lives when cooking for our families.
You truly have the patience of Job. God bless your sweet heart. Carla :)
This is great. I will definitely try some of these for my large family of 8
I get exhausted just making one pan of lasagna I couldn't imagine doing all these meals omg. Im tired just watching this.I need to do better in life you are truly an inspiration.
You painted your nails! You r amazing, i never seem to have energy for that! I really enjoy your videos
I really don't know what would happen if god forbid your giant rubbermaid container got broken somehow! Its just to scary to think about. lol I just love how real you are and how open you. Being a Mama isn't easy and I'm happy that there is a community of strong mamas on RUclips to encourage, inspire or just make each other laugh.
That filled freezer is a thing of beauty 😀 👍
Have you ever used regular uncooked noodles for the lasagna? A few trays of lasagna for myself and my sister when she had her baby. I tend to add a cup of sauce to the lasagna. We just pop them in the oven and they always turn out great. *confession* I never boiled noodles for lasagna ever. I've always used regular hard noodles 😂
Pandapoof 1 Does it freeze well with uncooked noodles with the sauce, cheese, and meat?
I’ve done this and the noodles turned out great! I’ll never boil noodles again. It’s about as easy as hamburger helper and a lot better tasting!
Pandapoof 1 iii
Same...I never boil lasagna noodles either.
Pandapoof 1 I dip them in water before I put them in but that's about it
Jamerill, I don't know how you do it!! You are a super mom 😊 I need to prep some freezer breakfasts before school starts...I've never done it, but I'm sure it would make our homeschool mornings so much smoother! 😊
Mama to Four just go for it! It's hard the first few times because you get half way and think... oh goodness, what was I thinking, but push through and it'll be very rewarding!
This Roth Tribe Amen, we can all do it with faith in the Lord, and love and patience for our children. We were all meant to be Mothers at one point in our life. I gave birth to 5 but the Lord called on my second daughter as an infant and raised 4. And I remember people would ask how do you do it? And I always said, The Lord always here with me to lend a hand. With Faith its all possible.
Wish my family was big enough to cook that much! Would Love it! Your planning skills are on point! 👏🏼👏🏼
I'm always a hot mess too! You guys did an awesome amazing job! You get more done in an hour than what takes me a week! ❤️😎
I love that your kiddos help.
I'm prepping my freezer meal game plan for next month since we're welcoming baby #5 in May. I just had to share that at the top of my list, I wrote "Jamerrill genius tip: Bake quick breads in 13X9 baking dishes! 1/2 and then freeze." I was so worried about how I was going to get enough of them done with just my 2 loaf pans. Saved me a trip to the Dollar Tree.
As for the PBJ sandwiches, my kids have discovered that they enjoy them just as much (if not more) when they're still frozen. The PB freezes, but, most of the time, the jelly doesn't. Some of the flavors of my homemade jam do freeze, but they don't mind either way.
Oh yummy! Thank you so much for showing how you get all this going and done! I don't have as big a family, but do have 3 teenage boys and dad to feed, and boy can my crew EAT! These are fantastic ideas for freezer meals, and I just got my new deep freezer a few weeks ago!! I'm now inspired to get going on those freezer meals too! :)
my goodness I always admire how you have the energy and motivation to get all of this done, Im struggling at the moment and I only have one bubba. xxx
My husband is gluten free and I use the SOS cream of chicken soup mix and it is so easy and delicious! I found it on Pinterest and is great to have on hand! This is a great job on all of the freezer meals! I really impressed! That is long days in the kitchen. I have those types of days during canning!
Makes me laugh because my daughter hates to touch anything without gloves so I can picture her with full length gloves on mixing that pan. Love it!
Great job mom!! Love your videos. Was wondering why not just mix the peanut butter and jelly together in a bowl to make assembly a little quicker? A little trick I do is use cardboard to separate and stabilize my freezer meals until they are frozen.
You are AMAZING and put me...a mum of 1 to shame! This is so inspirational. You work..have children and pregnant and you can still manage all of This! You should be very proud! Having only 3 in my family I will be taking these recepies and structure but won't need to do as much. I'm going to try my little girl with PB and J sandwiches (we live in the UK) and hopefully she will love them! Such a great idea for snacks or quick lunches! Thank you for your videos...it's extremely motivating! If you can do it...anyone can do It! X
LOL, I always give my tuna water to my kitty for a treat...
Thank you for sharing! ! Did you know you can buy the no boil lasagna noodles? They work amazingly well and I just use those and double wrap my lasagnas with aluminum foil. Works great! Huge time saver! I have 7 children and I understand needing to do the freezer meals. Such a huge blessing to have those ready. 💗
