(also shortened to WWE SvR 2011 or SVR 11) is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ for PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation Portable (PSP), PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360, and Wii systems. It is the seventh game in the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw series and the last game under the SmackDown vs. Raw name, with future installments simply being named WWE or WWE 2K.It is the sequel to WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 and was succeeded by WWE '12. It was released on October 26, 2010 in North America, October 28 in Australia, October 29 in Europe, and February 3, 2011 in Japan for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The game is based on the two brands of WWE, Raw and SmackDown. A demo version of the game was released in Japan for Xbox 360 in early February 2011.
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 was first announced along with WWE All Stars at E3 in June 2010 by THQ. A playable demo was featured at E3 with Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, and The Miz as playable characters.
Special editions of the game featuring The Undertaker, Bret Hart and Randy Orton were released, each offering exclusive in-game content, an art book and DVD relating to each wrestler. Various retailers offered in-game bonuses include a playable Bret Hart, The Undertaker's alternate Ministry of Darkness attire, three alternate outfits for Randy Orton and the WWE Tribute to the Troops arena.
Three downloadable content packs have been confirmed. The first pack, "Online Axxess" was available at release and adds playable character Chris Masters, Halloween-themed attires for Kelly Kelly and Rey Mysterio and online multiplayer mode. The second pack was released in North America and United Kingdom on December 21, 2010. This pack contains the playable characters British Bulldog, Lex Luger, Layla and Nexus members Wade Barrett, David Otunga, and Justin Gabriel along with alternate attires for Shad Gaspard and Shawn Michaels and the NXT Arena.The third pack includes alternate attires for John Cena, The Undertaker, Sheamus and CM Punk as well as the WCW Nitro Arena. THQ has offered players a package deal called "Fan Axxess" to purchase the last two content packs beforehand.
On January 25, 2011, Bret Hart was made available as a downloadable character for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. He had previously been excluded from THQ's "Fan Axxess" package.
I remember putting countless hours playing The ps2 version, and Not caring about the looks or anything else, just willding out to random exhibition matches, but then My Brother brought a used ps3, and we play svr11 and I was so shocked and Stunned on how it looks, and the features are 10x better than the ps2.. but now, wrestling games looks so good but are not that enjoyable, as they used to, WWE 2K14 is the last wwe game that are enjoyable (for me) and still playing it up to this day

I was trying to buy for ps2 cause it was cheap 25 euros, but somehow I decided to buy for ps3 which was a great decision and later bought for ps2 as well
Facts wwe 2k14 is the goat roster and story mode but wwe 2k16 is the best in online and roster characters

Aconteceu o mesmo comigo, quando fui para o wwe 14 no ps3, o jogo era incrível, o roster era incrível, o modo universo era fluido e legal de continuar, trocar para o play4 me foi ótimo em vários jogos, mas o wwe 14 no play foi o melhor

Remember as a kid saw the ps3 version and thought it would be like this on every console. Parents bought me ps2 version and i was confused as hell and kinda upset😂

I like both versions for different reasons. The PS3 version runs better, looks better and has the better weapon physics as well as having the ability to direct your moves for the first time ever. BUT you kinda have to use other methods to get on top of the announce table with the PS3 version vs the PS2 one where all you gotta do is simple press a button to get up there for example

SVR 2011 on the PS3 is easily the best Wrestling game I’ve ever played. RTWM, Universe mode, superstar threads and insane roster.

I wouldn't mind still using a PS2 but playing a game like this on that console would probably upset me, especially in the era of high definition consoles. I have a PS3 so it's that big of a deal for me.

I don't consider the PS2 version to be that bad, it's most of the way there when it comes to game modes and features. The most impressive thing about this port is the free roaming in rtwm, you'd half expect it to be a static image with a ui over it.
But then there are some missing aspects like the weapon physics and the graphics. While you could still have fun without the weapon physics, I still know why people would be disappointed by the absence of them. But then again, the PS2 has it's limitations and it's still pretty impressive how THQ and Yukes have managed to port over the whole series to last gen platforms without cutting too many corners. The PS2 port is still a great port for the people that don't have the fattest wallets and just want a glimpse of what this game is like.

played the wii version 1st as a kid and then was stunned when I first went to my cousins house and played the ps3 version, now looking back at every game, the wii looks like the psp games, and the ps2 versions looks like svr 06 with dlc wrestlers and color swaps, makes me laugh.
*PS 3 version looks much better, I really love the PS 3 version, it's more clear, sharper, brighter, shinny and amazing, PS 2 version looks sucks, it's blurry, unclear, less sharper, faded and underrated, PS 3 definitely rocks*
ps3 version has added physics with weapons as well, its better in every way. most of the kids here are only praising ps2 version because thats all they could get from their broke parents as kids
