As a “Dunk guy” it kills me that Nike won’t give us an unlimited Dunk for skateboarders. They would rather give us a different shoe that’s like and off brand version of the original. While these SB Forces look cool and I’ll probably buy a pair.. Nike.. just give us a black Dunk with a white swoosh that’s always in stock! The SB Dunk is the shoe that gave them credibility in skateboarding and now skateboarders can’t buy them!
The idea of a black dunk with a white swoosh like just one generic shoe that's always in stock is genius. Not sure it'll ever happen but its a good idea for sure
Because Dunks are like Yeezy's: pure Hype. Hype + exclusivity = $$$ For example Kanye even said that his foam runners could be priced at $20 (like the perfect knockoffs lmao) but Adidas of course refuses to let the hype go. I'm sure a sales person at Adidas and Nike did the math, and having their sneakers released exclusively keeps people interested in the brand, it might make them more money than having availability being priority #1
No Nike shoes are accessible to normal Brazilians. Cost per import and taxes make it very expensive. It costs a good part of our salary. Feel happy to be in the United States
I got the same colorway. Nice alternative to dunks. Only downside is the soles wear down faster than I’m used to. My toe is about to break through the bottom rubber after 2 ish weeks
I finally got a pair and I really like them. They look and skate very much like the Dunk Low and for those of us who have been waiting on an everyday “disposable” Dunk, this might be as close as we’re going to get. My only complaints are they didn’t include extra laces (c’mon Nike..), and the insole is paper thin and held in with adhesive. I eventually got mine out and replaced them with some other Nike insoles with the air cushion in the heel. Much better! Looking forward to skating them more this spring!
For me personally, I will skate the Nyjah II’s until I cannot find them anymore, it is so rare to find a shoe you love that you can keep consistently getting. Those shoes have everything I love and I have no urge to try other shoes anymore, plus they look awesome and can be worn for casual wear as well. Also pro tip, if you take super glue and paint your laces wear they usually tear your laces will last forever, I do the to the lace loops and the mesh part that tears on the Nyjah 2s and I don’t tear my laces or through the mesh
@@illiasaugustus2026 yeah but then the laces aren’t as secured in place and if messes up the snugness of the shoe for me, and super gluing works on any shoe, I had a pair of troopers from fallen that I super glue and I never tore a laces on them
these shoes seems so good for skating and i want a pair so bad, but because nike had to mention the word "dunk" with the release, now you cant find them in good colorway for under 100 bucks. thanks nike.
I just wish they’d make a better looking outsole for it and add hidden lace system maybe re design how the laces lay and add more padding to the tongue and collar
I've got this one and the blacks. I didn't like them at first but they grew on me. Pretty happy with them. Downside is the sole is a little too hard and the insoles are glued in. Highly recommend though. Top shoe is Etnie Marana 👌
I think they look different enough to not be directly compared. Very excited to try this shoe. Never actually liked skating dunks cause they don't vibe well with my feet.
The only downfall of these shoes for a dunk wearer, if they’re like me, the soles are too narrow unfortunately. Love the silhouette, just don’t fit my foot
Every pair of Nike SB's I've tried will have a completely blown out sole within 3/4 days of skating, honestly I got no idea how people manage to skate in these things without having them break apart almost immediately, I've worn canvas non-skate shoes that were more durable than Nike's suede skate shoes...
If the impact support isn't the best, just use your Wino G6 soles, I got a pair of non pro Vans Sk8 his because I needed shoes and nowhere around me sells actual skate shoes, and I put those insoles in and they feel amazing
@@RikRiorik yeah i bailed a four set that's got a gap before the landing today and I only have the slightest bit of pain on the ball of my foot, any other shoe/insole ive used and it'd be a different story.
@@RikRiorik but that's probably cause I used to jump down everything growing up, big gaps and drops have always been my favorite but it's definitely gotten more taxing over the years.
Tre flip tutorial please? Reason I ask is Ive been struggling but a lot of the dudes who have really good tres forget what its like to learn them. Curious how you go about them.
My buddy gave me a tip that helped me learn mine…. When ur squatting to pop/scoop lean forward abit so u can load more force into scooping the tail. By forward I mean literally forward towards your toes not forward towards ur front foot
@@smackabroad123 Try scooping like the nike swooth. The scoop isn't straight back, it's forwards too - helping the board come out in front of you. You could also be having your front shoulder too low compared to the back
@@Damoforce looking at my videos it looks like my front shoulder is lower than my back one. Ill try that and the nike trick. Eldridge also mentioned leaning on the toes that made my scoops more consistent
The outsole is the cheap shitty one that they put on their cheap range. For 75+ I’d want the dunk sole or the blazer sole. They look cheap af as well. Hard pass.
why do they have to spend designing a new shoe to give the people a dunk alternative, why not just release more dunks when in reality, they can. they just won’t because making less means getting more money. I seriously feel like nike is really exploiting money from the skateboarding industry and that is why I hate them so much. if nike fixes their shitty tactics, I would be glad to accept them into skateboarding world.
looks more like a janoski and from top view it doesnt look like dunk im holding one in my hands right now. no hate but get ur facts more on point sir :)
@@localjoe I think dunks are perfect skate shoes. Not too bulky and not too slim just perfect. They have very good kickflip/heelflip flick and they dont ever get too flimsy and I appreciate that because I hate flimsy/very flexible shoes

This... make very accessible colorways that everyone can get, not everyone got money for Nothern Lights Or TS Dunks.
100% agree on this. That's honestly a great idea
This is factssss just so many of them that the hype beasts can’t make money off em LOL
Nah brown
I miss the old days when you could get dunks from the ccs magazines/online shop without worrying about them being sold out ever.
Big facts
I get the hype and all but Idk why Nike doesn’t just be nice to us and make dunks affordable and available to everyone
Yeah they are pretty affordable it's just the availability sucks...

They are cheaper than alot of Vans, they just need to make more GR and OL ones. Less colabs and sneaker people won't want them

I would be interested how these compare with Etnies Maranas, feel, longevity etc...

Almost completely different type of shoes
Both hella stiff. The Etnies are more durable and alot better impact protection. More boardfeel imo in the 58s
