Great Info, my dealer handed me the key with a good luck and I drove away, and for 2 months I've been cussing toyota because I couldn't figure what that big screen was for.(I'm a senior) NOW I'm blown away at what that screen can do. We've watched it over and over. Thanks much
This was very informative. A lot of other vids had issues with the "beeping" or auto safety features constantly reminding the driver, but you simply solved all their issues in this video. Excited to get my Tundra Limited in Windchill pearl in the next few months.
Where I have the 2023 Tundra Limited, the part on the Driver's Information Screen was of limited value but, the demo of the Toyota Audio Multimedia system (as they are calling it) was the best one I've see yet. Well done !
Just traded in a 22 Tacoma for a 23 Tundra Platinum. I really learned a lot watching this video. The Tacoma had a weather map feature which was nice, showing rain. Something we get a lot of in Louisiana. The Tundra doesn't have this but, it has much more.
Good review, much more informative than the dealership was. I picked up my 2024 tundra 1794 iForceMax 3 days ago and I’m still overwhelmed by the infotainment system. I am disappointed that the unit wasn’t tilted a little more towards the driver to make it easier to reach, and there was no anti-reflective screening put on it. It’s almost impossible to use on a sunny day. Another thing there to be pointed out, is on the HUD display, the speed limit is too small to see during the day, and the speed limit sign on the main display is extremely small to see. When using the main imfortainment screen, the mic icon and the source button hide the buttons underneath them, keeping those from being accessed. When receiving text the unit doesn’t turn off the music to read text, and the volume are at 2 different levels causing confusion. I my opinion, the whole thing needs to be reworked to be more user friendly and not worry so much about the “wow” factor. The screen is so big it shadows the switches underneath to the point you can’t tell which is which. This design is a failure.
Thanks for the compliment, we’re glad you found our video useful. One thing I might suggest is to go under settings and do a factory reset back to defaults. Although new, others may have test driven it and changed some settings. Perhaps that might dissolve some of the issues. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to turn off the volume banner when you change volume. I change volume a lot, and it is very annoying for the banner to stay up on the screen for several seconds, obscuring the screen every time I make a change.
Thanks for the question. I’m assuming you’re referring to the 1794 edition here. It should be under settings but if it’s not, you could try resetting the infotainment screen back to its default settings and see if that makes it appear. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Is there a way to have sirius full screen for the song and not have a list on the left side (favorites)? Like a full screen template ...I find it annoying that it isn't full screen in the new 23 tundra for just the song you're listening to.
Thanks for the question. There is no way to convert that I know of. Best bet is to have a European aftermarket radio installed, or better yet, get an app on your phone for European radio and use it through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. The only way o know of to change the screen color is to change it to day or night mode. You would find that under settings, click on display and turn off Automatic I believe that will force it into a dark or nighttime mode. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. Yes. Click on settings, then click on language and units in the infotainment screen. There you can switch between F and C. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. It should automatically stay on as long as no doors are opened. If your just turning off the truck and all doors are closed and have not been opened, and it still shuts off, then something more serious is going on and I would suggest taking it to a dealership for them to scan and see if they can figure it out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the advice. That’s exactly what it is doing. It’s a 2024 that I got a week ago and I thought it was a setting I couldn’t find and it took me three days to figure out how to go back to radio screen from CarPlay
@@benschmitz554you’re welcome. I’d place a call the the dealership and ask to talk to their tech specialist. Ask him if this just how it is with the new Tundra’s or if it’s a problem to be fixed, that way you don’t invite much time or effort. I have seen others complain about the same issue. They claim one work around is to shift into neutral, then turn the truck off, and then place it in park. Not sure if that actually works, but my recollection when we were out driving it, was that the radio stayed on automatically after ignition was shut off, until you opened a door or the timer ran out, but I could be wrong. But a phone call to the tech expert at the dealership should solve that question quickly. Good luck, let us know what the tech said
Thanks for the question. It should have come with a mount that includes a suction cup. Smooth surfaces work best, bottom of your windshield, or right on a flat spot on your dash. There are aftermarket mounts for garmin if you don’t have one, and garmin sells them as well.
i just got a tundra 2024 limited trd and is great but there is one thing abouth it that is atotal crap the big screen is usless if u don't have a phone withouth the phone is just a screen
Thanks for the comment. That’s wierd. You should have navigation, fm, am, Sirius XM, voice assistant (hey Toyota) plus a whole slew of vehicle customization features. If you don’t have those, I would suggest taking it back to the dealership and have them fix that. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. I believe if you press the word Radio (when your in say FM) at the top left of the screen it will pull up a new menu and the first thing you can click on in the new list in the left is All Stations. Click on that then they will appear in the right side window and you can scroll through the list to find what you’re looking for. If pressing the “Radio” word does not work, try pressing on the magnifying glass at the bottom left (when your in fm, am, or Sirius XM). Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide I bought the car from America and sent it to Dubai. There is an American person’s account on it, and I cannot delete it. There is no Tundra agent in the Middle East. Do you have a way to format the screen?
@@ibrahimalali3900ok I see I thought you were talking about the language settings for the video. To change the units from us to metric , click on the gear wheel in the drivers screen then scroll to the bottom of the list that appears till you see Settings with a picture of the dashboard next to it. Click on it, then scroll down to “units” and click on it. Here you can select to change from us to metric or mph to kilometers. Thanks for watching!
@@ibrahimalali3900there should be a reset option under settings in the infotainment screen. Can’t remember exactly where, but it would be located under settings and will say something like “reset” or “system reset”. If you do that it should wipe out the other account. You could also go into driver profiles, create your own profile (just follow instructions on screen) and then I believe once a second profile is created, it gives you the option to delete the other profile. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Sadly these head units are complete garbage. My wife's always cuts out on her. An internet search reveals that most people are having issues with theirs. Best thing about this head unit is going to be replacing it
Toyota vehicles previously had navigation included in their infotainment, now you Get Less and Pay More, sound like the direction of a dying manufacturer.
