Honestly this is probably more info then what some dealers will tell u. Anyone who’s shopping for a tundra and want this large screen but want to know all about this is the video for you and why people including myself come to this channel. No matter what kind of video you guys make its always highly detailed and always really helpful and that’s why your channel will always be one of the best. Keep up the great work y’all and like always see u again.
That’s a really cool system. I really like how they’ve designed it so that you never need to touch your phone and once you set it up the way you want it it’s going to be alot less distracting to use. Finally a manufacturer understands that their current and older infotainment is causing accidents and it needs to stop. I maybe wrong but with what you just showed me it doesn’t just have cell phone navigation but actual GPS navigation as well but maybe I’m mistaken
Entune was so bad it pushed me away from Toyota for several years. I just went back to a 23 Tundra Plat and this system is wonderful. Two months now and no resets or connection issues at all. Its fast and works very well!
Thank you!! I recently bought a 2023 Prius and was told by the reps that I couldn't add in things to its multimedia system that I wanted. Thanks to your video, although it left me to figure out how the hell to do it, at least let me know such wa possible. FWIW, I'm a Boomer, OK? but I still have a bit of tech savvy.
Great job detailing the features....I'm picking up a new '23 Highlander in a few weeks and wanted to get a "head start" on what to expect, especially since I NEVER got used to the Entune system in my wife's '18 Rav4....so much so, I used my trusty Garmin instead when I've had to drive it on long trips....and hoping that won't be necessary if I can get it set-up properly from "day 1", and thanks to your "step-by-step" instructions...THANK YOU...!!!
Terrific tutorial. I have the newest level but only the 8 inch display. It seems the left side vertical selection bar is not always on the screen. It is there when you play music but not when I have Android Auto navigation. Now Sirius is built in but Navigation is not, so that may make a difference for any size screen. As it is, I have to hit two icons to get to the vertical lefthand selection bar. This is very disappointing, and I consider it a bug.
The lack of built in navigation is a deal breaker now. Plus you have to pay a monthly fee just to have it there. Yes I know CarPlay and AA are there but if you’re in an area w no reception neither CarPlay AA or the OEM nav would work They could have just kept the built in nav and added a Home Screen like the older system. plus m physical buttons for shortcuts
I've had way too many updates be garbage and destroy a perfectly fine piece of software - so when I saw my Corolla offer updates I first thought there was no way I was going to risk bricking a brand new car. Now I might have to see what it improves; I have physical buttons and not just touch-screen. Hopefully it fixes USB Media randomly refusing to play music xP
I miss the side buttons. I traded my Subaru Legacy lease because I couldn’t stand the touch screen distraction. The buttons are so much easier to use. I love my 2021 Camry xse
One thing that urks me is they didn't update this in all 2022 models, just the ones that are worth more. I don't even know if they are supporting much in the older (as in early 2022) models. But someone will come along and figure out a whole replacement solution in 5 years. Toyota has made some dumb subscription only changes, but then don't even allow some models to have the option to subscribe, like Remote Connect. My car has wifi, XM, and SOS capability and key sense tech. No remote start, no remote connect. Makes zero sense to me.
So, now you need an ongoing yearly subscription fee and cellular connectivity to use the onboard navigation? That would remove any advantage you would have over just using AA or CarPlay. The man reason to use built in navigation is for people who don’t want to pay for data plans or if they take trips in areas where cell coverage is really bad or not available.
Yep, it's all about squeezing my dollars out of the customer! Even on 70 grand plus Capstone edition! Having an assigned key fob seems ridiculous too, so what if you grab the wrong key fob? or your battery is dead in your fob and the second key fob is not assigned to your profile!
@@MIZUNOMP60 you should not be randomly grabbing the wrong key fob. Most have it on key chain and don’t set them both down loose on the same spot so you can get “confused” and pick up the wrong one. Assigned key fobs aren’t new. Other vehicles have them so you don’t have to press the memory seat button so the car automatically knows which driver is in the vehicle.
@@webcomment8895 Everybody's situation is different, I have two different sets of work keys with that look similar. If Toyota gave you two different colored key fobs to differentiate them that could help too. Regardless, technology in new vehicles now is becoming more of a hindrance than making life easier in many ways. Too many simple functions now buried in menus, it's distracting and less convenient to adjust your seat say through a screen than on the side of that seat for example. Just look at all the issues Stellantis are having with their new Uconnect 5 system. The paid subscription thing too is a money grab much like many popular tv shows and tv events are on paid subscription channels. It's all about big screens and wowing customer but at the same time reducing driver safety, convenience, reliability and making them pay a monthly sub for already over priced vehicles. That's the world we live in now!
Great video. I have a question. Has anyone notice that when you received a phone call from someone that you get a distorted type ring. It doesn't sound like the one on the infotainment screen that you can raise and lower the volume. I have a Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra. Especially when it is in the qi charger.
While it is kind of impressive, the system has one key element unless you use Android or Apple apps...with a HUGE 14" display why can't I see the map and see the music info (song or station info) at the same time. Maybe they will fix this but I just purchased a 2023 Sequoia and it is one of the major disappointments for me with the vehicle (and my list is small so it looms large). I'm not going to use my phone to play Sirius XM or terrestrial radio.
Main Driver Profile not recognized on mine. No option for saving profile on the key. As a result i have to agree with there terms and conditions every time i enter my car and being recognized by the car as "Guest" in my own car. Anyone else facing this issue?
Does anyone else using this new system have Bluetooth issues? I can’t play WhatsApp voice msgs (iPhone) but if I connect to wireless CarPlay then I can but with a 2 second delay?

@@CarConfections can I upgrade from my 2018? How is the WiFi service?
True!!
This infotainment system looks really good and modern. Thumbs up to Toyota and Car Confections for this detailed analysis.

This is the best help we have received on learning how to use our new car’s display. Thanks so much friend.
Glad we could help!
The system is so flexible and integration into the dash board is smooth. Hopefully it cut across all new models. 💪 Toyota🇳🇬🇳🇬
Great job gave a lot of good information on how to use the system. Thanks.

Glad to help! Congrats on your new Highlander!
I had the same vehicle. What I don’t like is that I can’t change between presets like I could with my Rav via the steering wheel’s arrows.
Very informative! Is this the same in the 2023 Venza? The volume on Siri suddenly went very low and I don’t know what happened.
Really wish our new 22 highlander had this!!

Thank you for the video it helped me , I just got my new Rav 4 Hybrid 2023
I can’t get back to the setting screen icons on the far left. I guess it is the Home Screen.
Help
Looks great! Thoughts on whether or not it's actually confirmed to be in the 2023 Rav4 lineup?
It is CONFIRMED that it will be on the 2023 model, albeit with a smaller display 👍

At least Apple CarPlay with Apple Maps is compatible with offline downloaded maps, which are coming with iOS 17; and I guess Google also has it?
@@hypernewlapse google maps has offline mode if you download maps in advance. But the voice navigation prompts in offline mode are terrible

No dark mode? 😕
Well done, thanks
Can someone tell me how to change the temperature setting from Farenheit to Degrees Celcius?
can you split screen 50/50, music and nav
No. And it’s super frustrating to not have that option.
Unless I'm missing something, you cannot split screen to use Maps and XM at the same time. Very aggravating.
Will the Tacoma get any updates to this?

Dang good job Toyota 🙋🏽♂️
so the 2023 RAV4 will have this new screen?
I'm hoping new Lexus NX350 infotainment system on upcoming Rav4, but with dual pane screen with built-in navigation. Looks nicer than this one.
That same boring Entune font carries over. Kind of nice, sure 75% of its features requires a subscription.

How do I get the new Audio Multimedia? I had the Entune 3.0 on my 2018 Toyota and now its gone.

The temperature is set to 64 degrees. I guess that the Toyota heater chips must still be back ordered.
