My main gripe is how they treated Nightwing in the Arkham verse. There’s no way he would be beaten by Harley…like are you kidding me! Also snuck on by Penguin 😐
Also they could’ve paired him with Barbara like in the comics. They have gotten married in the Convergence run, & right now, they are going strong in Tom Taylor’s run. Recommend to read Batgirl: Year One so you can see the blossoming of their relationship.
It seems they adapted their dynamic and banter to Tim instead. Usually Barb plays more of a big sister role to Tim. Why they chose this route for Arkham Knight, idk 🤷🏻♀️
The NightWing ands Batman scene really became sadder after the passing of Kevin Conroy. Because now it really is the last time Batman will interact with his Son 😢

I still haven't completed arkham knight, I've seen all the spoilers, it being Jason etc, but I will start and finish it soon, watching this make me wanna boot it up, loving vid so far, oh and they defo got harley giggle physics down lol,

Arkham Knight will always be the true ending for the Arkham series for me. While Suicide Squad kill the Justice League is technically in the same universe I think it should either be not canon or just in a different timeline

This game is beautiful. All four Arkham games are masterpieces in their own right. All for different reasons. They are all unique & special, but if I had to choose a favorite, it’d be Origjns. Knight would come in second. Good job on the analysis, subscribed!

You know, I may be the only one when I say this, but I never picked up on the subtle hints on Arkham Knight’s identity. I thought the Jason flashbacks were just Joker trying to mess with Batman and remind him that no one is safe around him!
That's fair. It does work well with the overall plot of Bruce's fears for failing his allies.
I always thought Gordon knew Batman is Bruce and would allude to it to Batman but he would never straight up say it

My favorite Arkham game the gameplay was utterly perfected. And it still looks better than 95% of games that come out today
My main problem with Joker in this game is actually that it opened way to very stupid interpretation of his character, where you literally can just cook Joker with right ingredients and came up with exact same Joker as original. Or like here you can just take his blood and it somehow mutate and give you all of his traits

Awesome video. I found myself agreeing with a lot when it came to the story and what not. Especially as someone that wasn’t as familiar with the Red Hood stuff before this😅 the dlc skins did more spoiler work on me than the fandom/prior knowledge.
My favorite smaller details:
- using the drone virus upgrade on the batmobile to hijack Cobra tanks, making some of those fights easier.
- when the game starts, the wrist holocom is in greyscale. When Batman gets the upgraded suit, the feed is in color.
- idk how I pulled it off, as I don’t recall a gap that allowed it now, but I remember being able to stop by the theatre after finding Barbara and being able to give Tim relief telling him I found her alive.
- i never saw it myself, but I believe someone pointed out in another video I saw thag the Red Hood symbol is near the door Batman has to go to when heading to the asylum? I need to see it myself but if so it feels like a neat little detail of Jason being back in his mind.
Wow, Thank you! I've been able to see/do the last 2 details, but I never realized the holocom feed changing with the suit before, so good catch! Also, if you didn't know, After the game is complete, the Red Hood tag will appear back at the movie studios on the ground, so I think it's to show that he was traking Scarecrow as well.
Ah I gotta come back to this video. 37 minutes in and I want to play it. Knight is my least favorite of the big 3 but man this makes the game look so good.
Wait, did you say that jump scares are NOT traditional to the Arkham series? The series is full of them.
I suppose, but while Asylum and City have them, this game has the most and leans into them way more, having them sprinkled throughout the entire game.

Plot twist. The entire suicide squad game takes place in Harley’s head. She got captured by brainiac. The justice league isn’t dumb enough to all walk directly into what’s likely a trap with no plan.
This is now my headcanon.
Shame this franchise stopped getting games.
We should at least get a Batman Beyond game in the arkhamverse

Too bad Arkham Knight was the end. I was eager to see batman's transformation after faking his death. He says that Gotham needed something worse, born from the ashes of batman. I wish we could've had the continuation instead of... Suicide squad😅
Yeah, they just undid the whole ending in suicide squad when it would've been so interesting to see how the bat family handled the fact that bruce was alive.
A trash sequel and the worst Arkham game
Mechanically the worst Arkham game is Arkham Asylum. Story wise tho, this game is the weakest.
