Batman: The Telltale Series Makes You FEEL Like Bruce Wayne!

- Batman: The Telltale Series is one of the most insane Batman stories ever brought to mainstream. All the rules Batman stories are obliged to follow are thrown out the window for a constant series of twists and turns that leave you completely floored at every big revelation. But most importantly of all, it's not a Batman game! It's a Bruce Wayne game!

I love how the detective sequences were handled in this game. The objective wasn’t just to scan clues, but to connect them and understand the order in which certain events occurred. It really makes you feel like the world’s greatest detective!
I feel like the Arkham games could really use telltales detective feature on the fact that the player could connect each clue to another clue which you have obviously mentioned . Just small details like this just makes the players feel more involved in the overall story or event and I believe the Arkham games hadn’t really offered a true detective experience were the players themselves have to figure out a crime on their own so that they can truly feel like the worlds greatest detective without batman spoon feeding you each time when you scan evidence/fragments of a crime from little to no effort . Anyways the telltale games probably offers the most amazing story experiences ever in my humble opinion and I hope they find great success in their future projects because I honestly don’t want telltale to close its doors AGAIN.
@@cantsuggestareasonablename9101 Agreed. They tried to implement this in Gotham Knights, but it was almost always too easy to feel like an interesting puzzle
@@clowncinemaGotham knights couldn’t replicate the same experience that both telltale and the Arkham games offered and it’s honestly a testament on how well crafted the telltale/Arkham games were. Telltale batman will always be my favourite batman story ever and the Arkham games will always be my favourite gameplay driven batman/superhero games ever and no one can change my mind
Joker just being a mostly chill dude was one of the best things ever in this game.
The Lady Arkham reveal is what Arkham Knight wanted to do
You bet
Nah because lady Arkham was also incredibly obvious. They’re both poorly done
@@Dctctxexplain
@Dctctx not at all. Of all people to be the main villain, Vicki Vale is the last person you'd expect. In hindsight its obvious but theres no shot you saw it coming first time
True, I did not realise it was Vicky until it was too late. For AK, we all see it was Jason from miles away.
I honestly love this depiction of Joker being a pretty chill guy, its a nice twist on the character. And the whole story with Harvey Dent is still amazing
It was so painful when I saw you get the bad ending for Harvey, where Two-face fully takes over. Still glad to see how much you love the scene because I 100% agree with how good that scene was. Super underrated.
It’s kinda amazing how Troy baker has played a lot of dc character’s like Joker, Robin, Two face, Batman, Jonah Hex, Thomas Wayne, Superman, Batzarro, Nightwing, Brainiac, Sinestro, Hawkman
They could easily make a movie where he plays every character, and that’s amazing.
Idk where he played most of those
Nightwing & Sinestro from Injustice 1.
Brainiac From LEGO Batman 2
Two-Face From Arkhamverse.
Geo-Force From Young Justice.
Music Meister From LEGO Batman 3
I’d be here forever if I’d listed them all.
Don't forget Black Mask
@@djncrbjbghjfbjfvh6555Joker, Robin, Two Face, Jason Todd
All just in the Arkhamverse
When it comes to liking batman stories that focus on Bruce Wayne, fucking same dude, I LOVE seeing how Bruce Wayne and batman's lives affect each other's. Absolutely wish we got that more.
Recently telltale Batman has been being talked about more and I love it because this game is so underrated.
I see why people prefer the arkhamverse over Telltale, but you can't deny their masterful and real writing of both sides of Bruce's psyche which was rarely shown in the Arkhamverse outside of his fears.
Arkhamverse stories we’re mid kid

When I first heard telltale was not gonna make any more games I was honestly so sad. They made so many great games. Especially Batman and The Walking Dead.
Telltale has started making games again. Wolf Among Us 2 coming soon, recently put out a game based on the tv show the expanse.
They back in business, I hope they make a season 3
39:30
(Not so) fun fact: If you pick the option to attack Vicki instead of taking off your cowl. Vicki will blast out Alfred's eye.
31:07 I personally prefer helping Alfred + the Harvey fight in Episode 4, but I admit that the confrontation with him in Episode 5 is also really good.
Makes you feel like Troy baker
WAIT is Troy baker man and the JONKLER?
27:15 I am so glad you mentioned that little detail. That one detail made this one of, if not my absolute favorite Batman moment ever
7:39 that sounds like you wanted her to know 😂😂😂
Season one was ok but season two was where this really became a special story. Can’t wait to see you take that one on.
I've watched a lot of critical role, played this game twice, and I didn't know travis was playing two face. This whole time he was selinas husband irl! Makes the romance in this a bit more messed up doesnt it....
You know, it's a shame they never got to do a season 3, but the first 2 were great.
when i hear catwoman and two-face in this game i can only think about Jester and Fjord, lol
Two faces apperance scared me in this game
When I watched The Batman (2022) I thought that the movie had took some ideas from the telltale game because they are very similar. Well obviously the difference being Bruce Wayne not being emo but other than that I thought they were very similar
This game feels like you're playing through some episodes of Batman The Animated Series
For a character that I'd been getting pretty board of, this game provided a great interpretation of joker that I just wanted to see more of.
Knowing he's a time bomb and just waiting to see what's gonna make him drop the disturbingly friendly persona and go completely off the wall.
YES! You're talking about Telltale Batman!
Why am I so early to telltale Batman? Am I slightly Intelligent?
I'm proud of you, Dick.
No your a genius
Over my dead body.
@@user-yc7rf3ns9dis there a lore reason why I’m a genius?
You’re not. This overused comment structure proves it
Wait so let me get this straight. Troy Baker voices joker in batman arkham origins, jason in batman arkham knight and now i learned he voices batman in the telltale series. Am i missing anything else in the batman universe thats voiced by Baker?
Pretty sure he's also Tim (Robin) in Arkham City.
Nightwing in Injustice, Tim Drake in Arkham City.
he's also Lego Batman lol
He’s also Two-Face in Arkham Knight
Batman vs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Man, I wish I could unhear Troy Baker as Jason Todd. He's amazing, and I'd argue he's the Dee Bradley Baker of videogames, but I just hear Jason whenever this Bruce talks
Replaying this and the enemy within are such guilty pleasures. Its such a shame telltale fell apart as a company because they made awesome games. What I love most about TTTS is these very unique portrayals of classic Batman characters. From Penguin and Two-Face in this game to Harley and Bane in the next. Dont even get me started on John/Joker. Selina, Riddler, Alfred, Gordon, Vicki. With not just how they were written but also how the actors played them, I just adore what was done with these characters and I will always adore TellTale for doing something different and unique with a lot of them

51 minutes of clownpuncher content might be the best thing that's happened to me in a long time
Telltale penguin is probably my favorite iteration.
I never expected Clownpuncher to review Batman Telltale
The story in this game of Bruce Wayne and Batman’s worlds colliding and the fact they need to work together to beat the threat reminds me of Insomniac’s Spider-Man where Peter and Spider-Man had to be one to beat Doc Ock.
This video came out right in time! I just got addicted to playing through the telltale series again, (if anyone’s curious I’m on S2 E2) and this video encapsulated most of my own thoughts pretty well! I love this take on Batman, and Joker for that matter. I like that penguin is the opposite of the comics penguin, and that he’s a little douchebag lol.
I love this game and it shows exactly why two face is my favourite Batman villain it’s the only game I can think of that makes two face an actual threat
I will say in general I don’t really like the interpretation of Thomas Wayne being a corrupt billionaire as I much prefer the interpretation where he was the one good apple in a bad bunch of corrupt people in Gotham, and that kind hearted altruism was passed on to his son.
But with that in mind, I think the story handles the concept of corrupt Thomas Wayne pretty well
I think this games version of Two Face is one of the best ones.
It very much seems like Telltale's current 'secret project' will be season three of this game and I am very very excited. What villain can be so dangerous that Batman has to come back? I think likely the league of assassins with a lazarus'd Vicki Vale (her body was never found). The minute they said Joker was John Doe in this I thought we were getting the criminally underrated Jane Doe who really hasn't gotten a media adaptation. Also think this is the perfect type of game to feature Hush and the Ventriloquist.
So happy to hear you'll be looking forward to The Enemy Within; both of these TellTale games are absolutely fantastic, and definitely tell one hell of a unique story about them. Although, I will recommend TellTale's The Walking Dead games as the crown jewel of their storytelling. A definite must for fans of games like the two Batman installments. (Also, that OSP reference at 26:39 was surprisingly wholesome, and definitely reaffirms that the best storytelling for Batman is comforting a scared child. Ace from JLU, Baby Doll from the Animated Series, and the Vales' adopted son in this game. That is a certified Batman!)
I 100% agree especially in season 2.
Your timing is absolutely ridiculous, as I just started this game yesterday
I know it would be difficult to pull off but a super hero game that uses both this gameplay for the secret identity and the more traditional Arkham/spider-man gameplay for the superhero gameplay with Arkham knight like choices in the super hero parts but much more of them. Would be the best super hero game of all time regardless of character.
Awesome video! I just found your channel and I'm already subscribing.
BTW are you going to do a video on the enemy within as well?
Fantastic video! 💯 I really hope you make a video for Batman: The Enemy Within. It is an absolute Masterpiece!
Why did they choose to make Vicki Vale such a dark character out of all people 😂
15:19
A few more battles and he will evolve into his final form: The Judge.
A high five for whoever gets the reference :D
BTAS
Telltale Batman is an excellent game and in this one Bruce Wayne is a lot more likable and balanced depending on what we choose. He also looks like Archer!😏🤣
What we need now is a SEASON 3 of this!
The only problem I have with the game is the Wayne's being criminals but i adore this game and it's sequel
Yeah it weird having Thomas, and Martha being friends with the Falcons family.
I find it compelling. The revelation that the people that inspired you to fight against evil are as evil as the monsters you've fought for years is an interesting concept to throw in Bruce's face.
Rocksteady: “Let’s make our players and fans feel like Batman.”
Telltale: “Let’s make our Bruce and John fanboys experience a super fruity relationship story between them.”
I love the idea of this game, I just wish it wasn't Telltale. No shade towards them obviously, i think they did a great job and make other great games: if this were more like the Arkham games gameplay wise, i think people would have LOVED it.
As it stands though, as someone who hasn't played it herself, I still think its a solid 8/10 for the story and writing alone.
I need to replay this.
Side note: what's wrong with the decisions chat made huh🤨🤨🤨 are you accusing us of being weird?
Yes.

Telltale's Batman is my favorite batman game I love the twist of Lady Arkham and how the Waynes were actually corrupt and that had my interest. Its a shame that I didnt like season 2 as much
hey clownpuncher, have you played or considered playing detroit become human? hearing your analysis and praises of this makes me think you'd like it
I really love both games and helped get me into telltale games and batman in general vs the casual consumption of the series I had when I was younger. I’ve played multiple times to chose different answers and can jump in for another play through at any time since I really liked it
I am vengeance I am the night I am Bruce Wayne and also do season 2 pls
I find it funny how you post this video after completing season 1 a few weeks ago lol
you GOTTA play s2 of telltale the enemy within its even better then s1 with some amazing takes on characters
Hello I’m a big fan love your content from Dexter
Have you ever considered doing a speedrun progression for each of the games, or maybe even just Asylum or City
BABE WAKE UP CLOWNPUNCHER139 DROPPED 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember playing this games with my cousin on chapter 5 and it was so hype
Why did that tower where we go to get Falcone remind me of the tower in Arkham City where Strange was?
I had a thought, if the story was mostly kept the same but it was an Arkham game, I would've given it the title of Arkham Crusade (or Revolution)
Man I need to get this game *yes I know it’s free but the other chapters aren’t*
for anyone who likes this telltale batman game, they also have a great walking dead game, especially the first season.
Everyone knows this😂 whar are you on
do the enemy within next
You should totally make a series where u go the Gough the whole telltale game as a clown punch percent or as just a normal playthrough
I know you don’t read comments on old videos, so
(What The Arkham Series Teaches Us About Jumpscares)
I just watched this and Side Missions Ranked, and I didn’t get the Man-Bat jumpscare until my 5th play through which reinforces your point even more. I genuinely started the mission with him in the sky and catching him. No jumpscare until playthrough #5.
when i first played, i made myself all star batman 😈
Thank you i love this version of penguin i thought i was the only one😢
Will there be a third part for the Arkham iceberg
It's funny on the PS3 Xbox 360 PC add Nintendo switch versions of the game it has no glitches
do season 2!!!!!
they should make a Spiderman one!
wait nvm they just make every choice effect peter badly no matter what
You should go over the second game too
I love this game
Great video man I love your videos! I also make videos like these too
What a coinci. A few days ago, Gamingwins uploaded a video about Telltale Batman. You could check it out, as well as his Arkham videos, and give me your thoughts if you wish.
never liked a video so fast
You want to do the sequel?
Can you please play the walking dead Destinies next 🙏🏻
I’m sorry what were those obvious hints that Vicky Vale was lady Arkham
i mean, how else would she have gotten the interview from the children of arkham?
