Or is it like with eastern european forests where you`re walking somewhere deep in a forest and just see a human face carved into a tree, except here it`s with a cactus? I`m geniunely interested
Your character crash lands here since the weird electrical aurora storms shut down his plane midair. So I don't think he's from Canada, especially since he never apologizes 50 times to the plane for crashing it

If this doesn't already exist; I want the option to leave survivor notes to be found by future players in their own survival and challenge playthrough maps. The notes could be used as fire starter otherwise but I think it could help others map out routes, survival tips, or possibly warnings
Subnautica has a system like that with Time Capsules you can leave when you finish the game, it's got a public approval process to filter out terrible stuff

I love how a fall of 1 meter is enough for your character to scream in pain and how it takes 55 minutes of using a hammer to break a wooden chair, still this is a good game but i hope the devs fix some things
It would be more realistic if you could use the knife as a firestarter, since some survival knives have a notch in them exactly for that purpose. The in game hunting knife doesn't have one, but I suppose you could use the edge as to do it at the expense of it's overall durability. (Tho you'd still need something to strike against it to create a spark)
@@theoverseer458 Pretty sure that what he meant by the notch. I think I've seen a knife that has a handle that can come apart to take out some flint, so you can strike it against the knife.
Hope he actually continues this playthrough like he said at the end. But the longer the days go on without another one, the more it looks like I'll have to wait till next year for more long dark :(

So a lot of the design nonsense of death stranding 1 makes a lot of sense from the context of being an overall experimental foundation. It looks like we are going in a good direction, but of course it could always crap out in the end.

I can NEVER, EVER find food or anything I need to survive in this game, or if I do, it's not in the quantities that I need. I have the same problem with this game that I have with 7 Days to Die. No matter how much I loot, there's never any food, or water, or any of the stuff I need in the quantities that I need. I will usually find lots of every item EXCEPT food or water. I've never figured out the secret to finding what you need to survive in this game. I see all these RUclipsrs just running here and there and finding whatever they need. I never find ANY of that stuff. How do they do it???
This game is a simulator of what its like moving from the south of the country, to about as up north as you can get. I moved from Texas to Washington, my girlfriend is warm with minimal clothes. Meanwhile I'm freezing my ass off in layers, always

What difficulty do you play on?
Have you considered trying harder to get perfect RNG? That's what the best survival games are about.
But… 7 days is super easy to get food. There’s literally a farming mechanic.
